This paper describes a design driven approach to drive intelligent test plan generation based on adaptive use case (3,5). Its foundation is an object-oriented software design approach which partitions design schema into design architecture of functional components called “design component”. A use case software development methodology of adaptive use case approach developed in I.I .T is employed which preserves this unit architecture on through to the actual code structure. Based on the partition design schema produced during the design phase of this methodology, a test plan is generated which includes a set of component and scenario based test. A software metric is introduced which produces an ordering of this set to enhance productivity and both promote and capitalize on test case reusability, This paper contains an application that illustrates the proposed approach.

Purpose: Financial independence of the museum is an urgent issue in Korea. In this paper, methodology to combine arts and culture facilities with senior society is investigated based on case study of various senior programs in other countries. Methods: In this paper, case study of various senior programs from cultural and arts facilities in other countries are investigated in the aspect of public nature and independent management. Based on the analysis of the case study, optimal methodology is derived. Results: Based on case study of various senior program in other countries, it is clear that art and cultural facilities play important roles in participating elderly people to various social activities through developing programs specialized for elderly people. Conclusion: From analysis of the case study, senior program from arts and culture facilities provides more familiar contents rather than professional contents. Also, they consider more on communication and cooperation with local society to develop the senior program, which fulfill both public nature and financial independence.

This paper addresses the antitrust case of Google's general search service to find evidence and logic used for defining markets, and the proof of dominant power and its abuse in detail. This antitrust case has certain meaning because it is not easy to apply traditional approaches to a general search service, which has two-sided market characteristics. This paper finds some implications through an analysis of the antitrust case shown below. First, for market definition, the overall qualitative analysis can be used to draw conclusions without a quantitative analysis, such as a Small but Significant and Non-transitory Increasing in Price (SSNIP) analysis. Second, the multi-homing behavior seems to be one of the key factors in judging the dominant power in Internet-based services. Lastly, the fact that the value of traffic can differ based on the traffic source needs to be considered to address the competition issue of Internet-based services.

The construction failures can be decreased through continuous improvement of construction process based upon the information of construction failures. Herein, the information of construction failures can be utilized as the key factor for identifying and enhancing various ineffective construction processes that can prevent failures. This research proposes a process model for the continuous improvement of construction processes by using construction failure information. Extensive reviews and analyses of literatures related to construction failures are performed to investigate its definition, type, cause, and lessons learned. This research adapts process modeling methodology and case-based reasoning for the development of the proposed CIMCP(continuous improvement model of construction process), and then suggests its framework that contains modules of case retrieval, case index, and case adaptation.

It is expected that the cooperation between rule-based reasoning and case-based reasoning gives us an efficient approach for flexible reasoning. In this paper, we present an integrated model of rule-base reasoning and case-base reasoning using the MVL automata model. In addition, we introduce how to handle the uncertainty in the integrated model.

The nature of ill-defined planning problems makes expert systems difficult to acquire and represent knowledge for decision making in urban planning processes. In order to resolve these problems, a case-based reasoning method was applied to develop a spatial analysis system for urban planning. A case study was conducted in a residential land use planning process. The result of the study revealed the effectiveness of reasoning by the spatial analysis system and the possibility of its future application. More accumulation of information on other successful cases should be sought to yield better results

Early cost estimates are important to decision-making for a construction project. Moreover, the possibility of reducing the project cost is getting less as the project is progressed. Case-based reasoning (CBR), which can be viewed as an effective method for early cost estimating, is widely utilized recently. Early cost estimates using CBR have advantages over the traditional ones as they produce reasonable outputs and self-studying is possible by simply adding new cases. Case-based reasoning is composed of a cycle of retrieve, reuse, revise, and retain process. However, in the majority of research cases, they are focused on how to retrieve the similar cases, instead of revising the cases which is expected to increase accuracy results of cost estimation. This research suggests a method of revising retrieved similar cases in a GA-CBR cost model which is widely studied and utilized for early cost estimating recently. To validate the proposed method, case study is conducted based on Korean public apartment projects.

Research and development projects, in the past decade, has shown that object-oriented(OO) technology could importantly contribute in productivity and reusability improvement. There are various research areas related to OO technology. Two of major research fields in this areas are concerned in issues for CASE tools and component-based technologies. This paper discusses an example of applying component-based technology to a CASE tool. This paper proposes the research experience gained while we have incrementally developing OODesigner, an OO CASE tool, with compound document support functionality based on COM/OLE technology. As OODesigner with OLE container functionality has interoperability with other application programs of Windows system which can be run as a OLE server, it can provide more powerful documentation environment than other CASE tools. OODesigner can be used not only to design UML diagrams, but also to make documentation cooperatively with various kinds of OLE- enabled software like Recoder and Excel. Therefore we can conduct powerful and consistent documentation with the tool.

Use The Use Case Points method is a software estimation method that is based on user requirements. When requirement analysts elicit user requirements, they obtain different use cases because different levels of detail are possible for the Use Case, and this affects the Use Case Points. In this paper, we suggest a method to refine the level of detail of the Use Case by using the concept of an elementary function. This refinement method achieves the desired reliability for the Use Case Points because it produces less of a deviation in the Use Case Points for different requirement analysts than other methods that are based on the step, transaction, and narrative of the Use Case.
