  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of adolescent consumers' attitudes toward money and conspicuous consumption on unethical consumption behavior in commercial transactions. The main survey was conducted targeting 290 middle and high school students. As a result of this research, first in the case of adolescent's attitudes toward money, the symbol for happiness and success was 3.11 and the means of control was 1.77 respectively. The level of conspicuous consumption behavior was 2.75 and the level of unethical consumption behavior scored as passive unethical consumption behavior was 1.38 while the active unethical consumption behavior was 2.10. Second, in the case of the attitude toward money as a means of control, it differentiated according to the level of living and the amount of allowance. Conspicuous consumption behavior differentiated according to the amount of allowance and the father's education. Active unethical consumption behavior showed a difference according to the amount of allowance and the father's education. Multiple linear regression analysis conducted to identify relative effects of the variables that affect unethical consumption behavior, in case of passive unethical consumption behavior, showed that conspicuous consumption(${\beta}$=.23, p<.01) and attitudes toward money as a means of control(${\beta}$=.29, p<.001) with an explanatory power of 18%. In the case of active unethical consumption behavior, showed that sex(${\beta}$=.16, p<.05), father's education(${\beta}$=-.15, p<.05), attitudes toward money as means of control(${\beta}$=.18, p<.5) and conspicuous consumption(${\beta}$=.36, p<.001) with an explanatory power of 26%.

  • Objectives : To investigate the effectiveness of Korean Medicine services use on the all-cause mortality and incidence of Parkinson's disease(PD) in elderly patients with chronic disease based on the National Health Insurance Service Corhort Database (elderly), called as the NHIS-senior. Methods : This study was a retrospective cohort analysis conducted using the NHIS-senior. Patients with chronic diseases over 65 years old who were not diagnosed PD during 2007-2009 were identified. The case group was defined as patients who used both Korean Medicine and Western Medicine services and the control group consisted of patients who used Western Medicine service only. The all-cause mortality and incidence of PD was analyzed using the Cox proportional hazard model after a propensity score matching(PSM) with a 1:1 ratio. Results : After PSM, the cohort included 47,546 subjects (23,773 in the case group, 23,773 in the control group). Sex, age, comorbidity, severity of disability, and neurology medical service utilization were adjusted in both groups. The mortality was 0.668 times (95% C.I.: 0.646-0.690) lower in the case group than the control group, which was statistically significant (p<0.001). The incidence of PD was 1.051 times (95% C.I.: 0.962-1.148) higher in the case group than the control group, which was not statistically significant(p=0.272). Conclusion : It was not obvious that the use of both Korean Medicine service and Western Medicine services for prevention of PD is benefitial than using only Western Medicine. But it would be possible that using both Korean Medicine and Western Medicine services decreases the mortality than using Western Medicine alone.

  • In this study, we investigate the individual-, parents-, and family-related variables affecting the internet overuse of adolescents by the gender, school grades and school systems, which is based on surveys of 480 students in the middle and high school, employing multiple regression analysis. Major findings are as follows. 1. In the case of male students, internet use was higher when the students are playing online games more often, when the students are under stress, or when they have lower self control. In the case of female students, internet use was higher when the students are playing online games more often or when the students are visiting pornographic sites more often. 2. In the case of middle school students, internet use was higher when the students play online games more often, when they use file downloads more often, when they have lower self control, or when they have parents who are setting lesser rules on the students' internet use. In the case of high school students, internet use was higher when they play online games more often, when they engage in internet club activities more actively, when they have lower self control, when they use e-mails less frequently, when they have fathers with better internet ability, or when they are under parents' strict control. 3. In the case of academic high school students, internet use was higher when they play online games more often, when they engage in internet club activities more actively, when they visit pornographic sites more often, when they have lower self control, when they have mothers with poor internet ability, when they use e-mails less frequently, or when they have fewer number of close friends. In the cases of vocational high school students, internet use was higher when they play online games more often, when they are under more stress, when they get better grades, when they have fathers with better internet ability, when they are under parents' strict control, or when they have lower self control.

  • In this paper a new control chart which accounts for correlation between process subgroups will be proposed. We consider the case where the process fluctuations are autocorrelated by a stationary AR(1) time series and where n($\geq1$) items are sampled from the process at each sampling time. A simulation study is presented and shows that for correlated subgroups, the proposed control chart makes a significant improvement over the traditionally employed X-bar chart which ignores subgroup correlations. Finally, we illustrate the proposed chart by comparing the standardized residuals and X-bar chart on a data set of motor shaft diameters.

  • This paper is to study a modified hysteresis band current control technique for keeping the fixed switching frequency. The control technique is applied to an brushless DC motor(BLDCM). This paper gives an analysis of the modified hysteresis band with isolated neutral case and the PI controller with current limiter in forward loop; their characteristics are studied by simulation. The proposed control technique is implemented by using a microprocessor-based system.

  • This paper presents a variable speed wind generation system where fuzzy logic controllers is used as efficiency optimizer. The fuzzy logic controller increments the machine flux by on-line search to improve the generator efficiency in case of light load. The speed of the induction generator is controlled according to the variation of the wind speed in order to produce the maximum output power The generator reference speed is adjusted according to the optimum tip-speed ratio. The complete control system has been developed by simulation study.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of case-based learning on the coping ability of daycare center teachers in emergency situations. In the study knowledge of emergency treatment methods, attitude, intention and ability to perform CPR between were examined in an experimental group (daycare center teachers who participated in the small groups discussing case studies and comparing them with their own experience) and a control group. Methods: The study was designed using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Sixty-four teachers were recruited from 40 child daycare centers in S city located in J province. Thirty-three teachers were assigned to experimental group and participated in the case-based small group learning. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program to perform ${\chi}^2$-test, Pearson correlation coefficients and t-test. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher posttest scores in knowledge, attitude, intention, and performance ability than those of the control group. Conclusion: The study results indicate that case-based small group learning on coping ability in emergency situation is effective in increasing knowledge, attitude, intention, and performance ability for daycare center teachers.

  • A clinical study was carried out 1 case of ischemic cerebrovascular accident which occurred at puerperium in a 27 year-old woman followed by vaginal delivery The results were as follows: 1. In the clinical view, it was thought that the cause of this case is intracranial venous thrombus, because the symptom-headache, foaming at the mouse, acromyotonia, hemiparesis- occurred in the postpartum and functional outcome is good. 2. In this case, the patient's functional system of spleen-stomach is usually weak, and due to delivery the functional system of spleen-stomach is more insufficient. so it can not control damp-phlegm(濕痰). In addition, vital energy of liver stagnate.

  • A submittal, as a part of three main project management processes: production control, submittals and change orders, is the transmission of information from the subcontractor to the general contractor to the owner, architect, and structural engineer, for review and approval. The purpose of the submittal process is for submittals to be approved in order to start construction. This benefits the contractor by ensuring that the finished project will meet the expectations of the owner. This paper analyzed a case study regarding the submittal process for the local-based environmental construction company, which typically works as a subcontractor and may hire other subcontractors for additional work when applicable. The aim of this study was to roughly evaluate a project management process and understand the submittal process through the study of a case involving the local company.
