The main results obtained through this are as follows. First, engineering college students' major satisfaction factors include major-career relevance, college immersion, and positive academic sentiment. Second, depending on the grade, it was confirmed that the factor of major-career relevance in the lower grades, and the factors of meaningful learning experience and college immersion in addition to major-career relevance in the upper grades had a significant influence. Third, the higher the meaningful learning experience, positive academic sentiment, and college immersion, including the major-career relevance, the higher the major satisfaction was found in the middle-class group with a score of BO or higher. This study is meaningful in that it revealed differences in influence by individual characteristics as well as major satisfaction influencing factors that can be practiced in universities such as learning experiences.

  • In this study, we consider the relationship between boundaryless career attitudes and career success and the mediating effect of networking behavior. Boundaryless career attitude refers to career attitude in which career paths can gain experience in various environments beyond the fence of a single employment situation. Based on a prior research review, research hypotheses were established for the relationship between boundaryless career attitudes and subjective·objective career success. In addition, three networking behaviors, one of the social capital, were set as mediators between the two variables. Verifying the research hypothesis shows that the boundaryless career attitude and subjective career success are in a significant positive relationship and that the relationship is completely mediated by contact maintaining, friendship, and task networking behaviors. The boundaryless career attitude is a significant positibe effect with objective career success, and this relationship has been shown to be completely mediated by friendship and task networking behavior. Based on the above research results, interpretations, implications, and future research directions were presented.

  • Using the 1st and 7th waves of KEEP(Korea Education and Employment Panel), this study explores the relationships among 212 participants' characteristics during high school, experience of taking English-mediated subject courses(EMSC) during college, career decision types, and employment status. These students' high school experiences and college experiences were used to predict the log-odds of taking and the understanding EMSC. Results of the analysis showed that none of high school characteristics such as career decision, English private education experience, interest in English, and their scholastic aptitude test score in English were associated with taking and understanding EMSC. Among college experience variables, only female students' level of understanding English subject courses was statistically significantly higher than that of male students. There were statistically significant positive associations between the understanding the EMSC and the number of the EMSC taken and also between the understanding of the EMSC and perceived usefulness of the EMSC. There was also a statistically significant relationship between career types (continuing with graduate studies vs. working) and taking EMSC, but the relationship between career types and understanding the EMSC was not statistically significant. In addition, the relationship between the experience of taking EMSC and employment status was not statistically significant.
