A Study on Knowledge and Care Behaviors of Hair and Scalp on UV - Focusing on Beauty Care Major and Non-Major Female Students -

  • This study examined knowledge and hair care behaviors of hair and scalp on UV(ultraviolet) comparing beauty care major and non-major female students. Results were obtained by questionnaire in 159 students majoring in beauty care and 198 students not majoring, was used frequency analysis, varimax rotation, t-test, F-test, Tukey post test. The analysis was statistically processed by using SPSS 12.0 program. The knowledge of hair and scalp on UV associated with a major showed significant on hair damage, in the UV, hair, scalp, hair damage, and UV and hair-related items, suggesting higher level in major female students. The results of care behaviors of UV and hair and scalp knowledge associated with a major. Correlation of care behaviors with a major showed significant results. For correlation by subfactor, there was significant difference in self-care, habitual care, and washing care between two groups, but there was no significant difference in protection care. It was found that both major and non-major students did not receive professional care.

20대 미용소비자의 DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피·모발관리 연구 (A study on the scalp, hair care according to DiSC behaviors of cosmetic consumer in their 20s)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 미용소비자의 DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피 모발관리행동의 차이를 분석하는 것에 있다. 연구를 위해 20대 미용소비자를 대상으로 설문지 251부를 SPSS v.18.0 통계 패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피,모발관리 인식은 심리적 안정, 호감적 이미지, 건상상태유지에 대해 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 신중형(C)의 경우 다른 유형에 비해 심리적 안정, 호감적 이미지, 건상상태유지가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피,모발관리 행동은상태인지관리, 제품사용관리에 대해 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 신중형(C)이나 사교형(I)의 경우 상대적으로 상태인지관리, 제품사용관리가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 나타난 소비자의 DiSC행동유형에 따라 달라지는 모발관리인식 및 행동을 기업 마케팅전략의 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다.

유방암 환자의 외모 관리 경험에 대한 근거이론적 접근 (Appearance Management Experiences of Breast Cancer Patients -A Grounded Theory Approach-)

  • This study explored the appearance management experiences of breast cancer patients undergoing mastectomy. For data collection, one-on-one interviews were held with 18 Korean females diagnosed with breast cancer from the first stage to the third stage from 2008 to 2015. The data was analyzed through a three-step analysis of grounded theory. QSR NVivo 11.0 for Mac was applied in order to avoid biased results according to the subjective viewpoint of researchers. From open coding results, six paradigms and 15 categories were drawn. The results of axial coding showed that the psychological changes category was the central phenomenon. Additionally, three categories (skin changes, scalp/hair changes, and general reactions) were found to be causal conditions, and five paradigms (clothing behavior, skin care behavior, makeup behavior, scalp/hair-care behavior, and shopping behavior) were found to be action/interaction strategies. Last, selective coding integrated fragmented qualitative data through open coding and axial coding in order to derive explanatory narratives. A comprehensive examination of the appearance management behaviors of breast cancer patients suffering from extreme stress due to physical/psychological changes enables this study to provide a foundation for related studies to be activated in the clothing and textiles discipline.
