A Study on u-paperless and secure credit card delivery system development

  • In the past, when the credit card was delivered to the customer, the postal agreement and receipt were signed by customer. The repossessed documents were sent back to the card company through the reorganization process. The card company checks the error by scanning and keeps it in the document storage room. This process is inefficient in cost and personnel due to delivery time, document print out, document sorting, image scanning, inspection work, and storage. Also, the risk of personal data spill is very high in the process of providing personal information. The proposed system is a service that receives a postal agreement and a receipt to a recipient when signing a credit card, signing the mobile image instead of paper, and automatically sending it to the card company server. We have designed a system that can protect the cost of paper documents, complicated work procedures, delivery times and personal information. In this study, we developed 'u-paperless' and secure credit card delivery system applying electronic document and security system.

소비성향에 따른 신용카드인식 및 쇼핑 가치에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cognition of Credit Card and Shopping Value Based on the Consumption Orientation)

  • This study aims to recognize cognition of credit card and shopping value in contemporary society, cognition of credit card and shopping value according to types of consumption orientation, and factors that influence cognition of credit card and shopping value, and ultimately provide a foundation for establishing proper shopping value. A total of 453 women and men residing in Seoul have been set as research object in order to achieve the purpose of the study. The data was analyzed by Cronbach' alpha, frequencies, percentile, mean, factor analysis, K-mean cluster analysis, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test, multiple linear regression. All analysis progress was done by spsswin12.0 statistics program. A summary of this research goes as follows: First, categorization of consumption orientation lead to two clusters of rational and symbolic & conspicuity consumption patterns and cognition of credit card was categorized into positive and negative cognition and shopping value was categorized into hedonic shopping value, utilitarian shopping value and time-save shopping value. Second, rational shoppers had high utilitarian shopping values and symbolic & conspicuity shoppers had high both hedonic shopping values and utilitarian shopping values. Third, the most influential factor in hedonic shopping value and utilitarian was consumption orientation. In conclusion, this research has showed that cognition of credit card and shopping value according to types of consumption orientation patterns varied, and that consumption orientation was an influential factor on cognition of credit card and shopping value.

Fantastic Collaboration of Financial Services and Telecommunication: a Frontier Case of Integrated Marketing Communication of 'Club SK Card'

  • In May 2012, the collaboration of Hana Bank, top financial service company, and SK Planet, top telecommunication service provider, introduced a new credit card that was filled with all-in-one benefits into the market. Leveraging strong infrastructure of two companies, each top in its own industries, the awareness and preference of 'Club SK Card' brand rapidly increased to about 25% in less than one year. Moreover, this new card was enthroned in the most sold credit card of year 2012, accounting for a market share of 7.2% in the credit card market and more than 80% in the mobile credit card market. To make these results possible, 'Club SK Card' marketing team developed an effective marketing communication strategy which followed the 6M model. The mission of the marketing communication strategy was simple and clear. It was to deliver the card's inherent strengths on consumer benefits that come from the support of subsidiary and affiliated companies of SK Planet. According to OK Cashbag data, the marketing communication team selected the appropriate target consumers and approached them directly, inducing actual purchase behavior. The target consumers received straightforward messages about 'Club SK Card' and were led to join in the new membership at their most frequently visited supermarket or franchise restaurant. The straightforward communication message embedded in an eye-catching commercial ad with a hook song accompanied with a dance was delivered via public media. The ad became so popular that many other television programs quoted or made parodies of the ad. Courtesy of the commercial ad, the brand name disseminated rapidly and widely among the public. In October 2012, an ingenious planning and persistent implementation of the communication strategy results 'Club SK Card' to be ranked top in brand awareness as well as advertising preference tests.

  • This paper presents the system of analyzing data in memory of TCMS. This system can show physical data in memory to text and graphic : format. To transfer data from TCMS to this system, a large number of system have used to memory IC card. the method of using memory IC card as a intermediation has many points at issue, that is a speed of transmitting data, life time of IC card and identity of train system each other. So this paper proposes that the method of wireless LAM be adopted by this system to improve the week point of previous method and other method to better the method of wireless LAN.

  • 본 연구 논문에서는 기존의 무선통신을 이용한 정보전송의 단점인 통신비의 계속적 지출을 보완하고 MS카드의 정보를 무선으로 전송을 할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다. 테마파크나 주유소등 소규모의 네트워크로 충분히 소화가 가능한 지역의 경우 그 보안성이 우수하며 통신비용이 추가적으로 들지 않는 블루투스 프로토콜을 이용하여 효율적인 매장 관리를 가능케 하는 역할이 가능하다. 기존의 무선통신의 경우 지역적 통신망 내에서의 통신에도 추가적인 통신비용이 필요로 하는 무선 랜 프로토콜을 기반으로 네트워크를 구성하거나 보안이 취약한 RF 프로토콜을 이용한 네트워크를 구성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 추가적인 비용이 전혀 들지 않는 지역적 통신망에 적합하면서도 주파수 호핑 방식으로 인한 보안성이 매우 좋은 블루투스 프로토콜을 통해 정보를 전송할 수 있도록 설계 하였다. 단말기는 저 전력, 고 성능의 RISC프로세서와 큰 화면의 LCD를 제공함으로써 점원용 휴대용 기기에 적합하도록 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 블루투스를 이용한 마그네틱 카드 정보 전송 시스템은 기존의 매장관리용 무선통신 시스템을 대체하여 추가적인 통신비용이 없이 지역적 통신망을 구축하고, 정보전송의 보안성을 높이며, 단말기의 저 전력 설계로 보다 오랜 시간 효율적으로 매장을 관리 할 수 있을 것이다.

교통카드 자료를 활용한 지하철 혼잡도 개선 연구 : Early Bird 정책대안을 중심으로 (A Study on Improving Subway Crowding Based on Smart Card Data : a Focus on Early Bird Policy Alternative)

  • Currently, subway crowding is estimated by observing a specific point at specific hours once or twice every 1 or 2 years. Given the extensive subway network in Seoul Metropolitan Area covering 588 stations, 11 lines and 80 transfer stations as of 2017, implementing crowding mitigation policy may have its limitations due to data uncertainty. A proposal has recently been made to effectively use smart card data, which generates big data on the overall subway traffic related to an estimated 8 million passengers per day. To mitigate subway crowding, this study proposes two viable options based on data related to smart card used in Seoul Metropolitan Area. One is to create a subway passenger pattern model to accurately estimate subway crowding, while the other is to prove effectiveness of early bird policy to distribute subway demand that is concentrated at certain stations and certain time. A subway passenger pattern model was created to estimate the passenger routes based on subway terminal ID at the entrance and exit and data by hours. To that end, we propose assigning passengers at the routes similar to the shortest routes based on an assumption that passengers choose the fastest routes. In the model, passenger flow is simulated every minute, and subway crowding level by station and line at every hour is analyzed while station usage pattern is identified by depending on passenger paths. For early bird policy, highly crowded stations will be categorized based on congestion level extracted from subway passenger pattern model and viability of a policy which transfers certain traveling demands to early commuting hours in those stations will be reviewed. In particular, review will be conducted on the impact of policy implemented at certain stations on other stations and lines from subway network as a whole. Lastly, we proposed that smart card based subway passenger pattern model established through this study used in decision making process to ensure effective implementation of public transport policy.

Logistic Regression for Investigating Credit Card Default

  • The increasing late-payment rate of credit card customers caused by a recent economic downturn are incurring not only reduced profit of department stores but also significant loss. Under this pressure, the objective of credit forecasting is extended from presumption of good or bad customers to contribution to revenue growth. As a method of managing defaults of department store credit card, this study classifies credit delinquents into some clusters, analyzes repaying patterns of customers in each cluster, and develops credit forecasting system to manage delinquents of department store credit card using data of Korean D department store's delinquents. The model presented by this study uses Kohonen network, a kind of artificial neural network of data mining techniques to cluster credit delinquents into groups. Logistic regression model is also used to predict repayment rate of customers of each cluster per period. The accuracy of presented system for the whole clusters is 92.3%.

  • 본 연구에서는 인천 1호선 구간을 대상으로 2009년 집계된 스마트카드 데이터를 활용해 승객좌석점유(혼잡도)와 정시성 지표를 사용하여 도시철도 서비스를 평가하였다. 차량단위의 대중교통 서비스 평가를 위해 개별 이용객의 스마트카드 데이터를 스케줄에 의해 운행되는 차량단위로 집합화하였다. 분석결과 인천 1호선 하행선(계양${\rightarrow}$국제업무지구)의 오전 첨두 시간대(7시-9시)의 차내 혼잡과 차량의 정시도착 측면에서 낮은 서비스 수준을 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 차내 혼잡도와 정시성 간에는 밀접한 연관성이 있으며 이는 이전 역에서의 높은 승객수요가 지속적인 열차의 연착을 발생시키는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Nowadays data-based decision making is emerging as the center of the business environment paradigm, but many companies do not have data-driven decision-making systems. It has also been studied that using an expert's intuition in decision making can be more efficient in terms of speed and cost, compared to analytical decision making. The goal of this study is to analyze customer churn factors using a group of experts within a financial company from the viewpoint of decision-making efficiency. We applied a debit card 'A', product of the National Credit Union Federation of Korea. The churn factors of all the financial expert groups were examined. Also. the difference in each group (management support, card recruitment, customer service group) was analyzed. We expect that this study will be helpful in the practical aspects of managers whose environments is lack data-oriented infrastructure and culture.

  • 유비쿼터스 사회화에 따른 개인의 정보를 보호하기 위한 방안들이 많이 제시되고 있다. 이런 방안의 한 분야로 CPU와 메모리를 가진 스마트카드가 널리 사용되고 있으며, 스마트카드 중에서도 다양한 응용 프로그램을 사용 가능하게 하는 자바카드의 사용이 확대되고 있다. 자바카드 파일 시스템의 표준은 따로 정의되어 있지 않지만, 일반적으로 스마트카드 파일 시스템 표준을 따른다. 하지만 스마트카드 파일 시스템 표준을 따름에 있어서 자바카드 가상기계의 특성상 데이터 및 코드의 중복사용으로 메모리 공간의 비효율적인 사용과 처리 속도가 늦어지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 자바카드의 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 File Cache 기법과 Direct Access 기법을 제안하여 최소한으로 코드 수를 줄여 메모리 공간의 효율적인 사용과 처리 속도를 개선한다.
