CoP 활동이 사회적 자본과 조직성과에 미치는 영향 : 유한킴벌리, 포스코, 건강보험심사원 사례를 중심으로 (The Effect of CoP on Social Capital and Organizational Performance from Yuhan-Kimberly, POSCO and HIRA)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of human resource development policies and practices on social capital and organizational performance. To serve the purpose, we focused on the effects of communities of practice (CoP) to social capital and suggested best practices of CoP from the aspect of social capital. Specifically, we considered new kinds of social capital such as social innovation capital and social integration capital as well as traditional social capital classified into structural, relational, and cognitive capital, Where, social innovation and social integration capital represent corporate's social capacity to innovate and corporate social responsibility (CSR). And then we conducted a multiple case study on Yuhan-Kimberly, POSCO, and HIRA. From the result, we identified that CoP activities have a positive effect on social capital and organizational performance.

증권회사 영업용순자본의 가치관련성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Value Relevance of Securities Firm's Net Operating Capital)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the information effect of securities firm's net operating capital, securities firm's regulatory purposes capital, by analyzing the value relevance of net operating capital. Design/methodology/approach - This study was empirically analyzed using samples of domestic listed securities firms in the past 12 years, and multiple regression analysis and Vuong (1989) test were used together as specific research methods. Findings - First, it was found that the net operating capital of securities firms has an incremental value relevance that is added to basic accounting information (equity book value, profit or loss information). Second, after classifying equity capital on the books into net operating capital and the rest of equity capital, the value relevance of net operating capital was significantly higher than that of other equity capital. Research implications or Originality - The results of this study indicate that the level of regulatory capital in the securities industry can be used in the process of evaluating firm value in the capital market, and it is significant in that capital market evaluation can be stratified according to regulatory purposes.

공공도서관의 사회자본 형성과 지적자본 모형 적용 가능성 (A Study on Social Capital Formation and Model Applicability of Intellectual Capital in Public Libraries)

  • 이 연구는 공공도서관의 사회자본과 지적자본의 개념적 이해를 통한 도서관의 총체적 가치를 재정립하고자 하였다. 사회자본의 형성은 제도적 관점의 중재기관인 공공도서관이 사회자본의 창출자로서의 기능을 제시하였다. 그리고 지적자본의 구성요소인 인적자본, 구조자본 그리고 사회자본에 대한 이해와 도서관의 적용 가능성을 제시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 도서관의 총체적 가치에 대한 향후 설계와 도서관의 내 외적 정체성을 찾는 토대가 될 것이다.

Estimation and Comparison of Regional Innovative Human Capital in China

  • 경제발전 수준이 높아짐에 따라 인적자본에 대한 관심은 더욱 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 중국의 31개 지역을 대상으로 2002-2019년 기간 지역별 혁신적 인적자본을 추계 비교하고 있다. 본 연구의 혁신적 인적자본은 학력형 인적자본, 논문형 인적자본 그리고 특허형 인적자본으로 구성된다. 특히 본 연구는 기존 연구와 달리 특허형 인적자본과 논문형 인적자본의 가중치를 학력형 인적자본보다 높게 가정하고 있다. 왜냐하면 단순한 학력보다는 특허와 논문이 지역의 혁신역량에 상대적으로 더욱 큰 영향을 초래할 것이기 때문이다. 본 논문의 분석결과는 세 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 중국의 지역별 혁신적 인적자본이 지역별 격차를 나타내고 있다. 지역경제발전 수준이 높은 지역일수록 혁신적 인적자본의 수준도 높다. 둘째, 지역별 혁신적 인적자본이 동태적으로 변하고 있다. 셋째, 북경시, 상해시, 광동성, 강소성을 중심으로 지역별 집중 현상이 더욱 가속화되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 지역경제발전에서 혁신적 인적자본의 역할이 중요함을 강조하고 있다.

간호사가 지각한 병원조직의 사회적 자본이 조직성과에 미치는 영향 - 지적자본에 의한 효과를 중심으로 - (Effects of Social Capital on Organizational Performance in Hospital Organization - Focusing on Effects of Intellectual Capital -)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of intellectual capital in the relationship between social capital and organizational performance in hospital organizations. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 390 nurses from 3 general hospitals in Gwangju and Chonnam province. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey done from May 1 to 15, 2009. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchial multiple regression using the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. Results: There was a significantly positive relationship between social capital, intellectual capital and organizational performance. Intellectual capital showed partial mediating effects between social capital and organizational performance. However, intellectual capital did not show moderating effects. Conclusion: Accumulated social capital increased intellectual capital and the increased intellectual capital increased organizational performance. This finding suggests that as a contribution to the improvement of organizational performance in hospitals, creation and accumulation of social capital and intellectual capital are very critical.

Intellectual Capital and Its Role in Crisis Management During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Empirical Study in Kuwait

  • The study aimed to assess the availability of intellectual capital in Kuwaiti private universities in terms of its three dimensions (human capital, structural capital, and relational capital), as well as its role in crisis management (crisis preparedness, crisis mitigation, confrontation, and response to the crisis, and learning from the crisis) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the boards of trustees, university presidents, their deputies, and deans of the colleges were chosen as respondents to this study from a sample of (8) private universities in Kuwait, with the sampling unit consisting of leaders in these universities. The study revealed that all dimensions of intellectual capital play a statistically significant impact in executing crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic at Kuwaiti private universities after conducting the data analysis process. The study concluded that universities should pay attention to intellectual capital in all its dimensions (human capital, structural capital, and relational capital) because of its role in improving their ability to implement crisis management strategies and strive to improve their capabilities to face crises by implementing crisis management strategies.

벤처캐피탈 투자기업의 성과에 관한 연구: 코스닥 IPO 기업을 중심으로 (An Empirical Analysis of Corporate Performance According to Existence and Types of Venture Capital)

  • 본 논문은 2000년부터 2014년까지 한국 코스닥시장에 IPO한 기업을 대상으로 벤처캐피탈의 지원여부 및 투자한 벤처캐피탈의 유형에 따라 피투자기업의 성과에 차이가 존재하는지에 대해 연구하였다. 표본을 벤처캐피탈의 지원을 받은 기업(VC)과 받지 않은 기업(NVC)으로 구분하고, 벤처캐피탈의 지원을 받은 기업의 경우에는 기업벤처캐피탈의 지원을 받은 기업(CVC)과 독립벤처캐피탈의 지원을 받은 기업(IVC)으로 세분화하여 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 기간은 IPO 이전 2년과 이후 3년으로 설정하였다. 분석결과, 벤처캐피탈의 지원을 받은 기업의 성과는 지원을 받지 않은 기업과 상장 전, 후로 거의 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 벤처캐피탈의 유형을 나누어 비교한 결과, 상장 이후, 기업벤처캐피탈 투자기업의 ROA가 독립벤처캐피탈 투자기업 또는 벤처캐피탈의 지원을 받지 않은 기업의 ROA보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 향후 기업벤처캐피탈을 활용한 국내 벤처생태계 활성화에 대한 시사점을 제시하고 있다.

사회적자본과 혁신의 관계모형 개선 (Improving a Relation Model between Social Capital and Innovation)

  • This research paper is focused on a theoretical study of the influences the structural factors and social capital within an industrial cluster have on innovative performance, and expanding the understanding of the influence through positive analyses based on public surveys. The study adopts a concept of social capital that can formulate a social relationship, and maintains that the social capital either works as a mediator for structural factors or independently exerts strong influences on innovative performance. In the research, the social capital is divided into two categories, bonding social capital and bridging social capital, and their influences are analyzed separately. The result of the analyses shows that unlike the traditional perception based on Korea's unique culture, the influence of bridging social capital is stronger than that of bonding social capital. It is also found that the structural factors exert influence by themselves on the contrary the previous study, simultaneously they still have influence upon innovative performance through bridging social capital calculated via the elements such as secondary relationships, network activity support and organizational openness.

교육투자의 한계효용에 관한 이론적 고찰 (A Study on the Marginal Efficiency of Educational Investment)

  • Economic development is usually identified with the increased of G.N.P and capital formation connected directly wi:11 the net increase of land, structure, commodity, stocks and foreign claims, etc. The increase of G.N.P. is driving at capital formation. The usual concept of capital formation for economic development misses the important productivity factor of human capital. Because it is now increasingly realized that a massive injection of material into production will 11 not necessarily explain a successful productivity unless that country already possesses 1 suitable human capital. Human capital is built of educational investment which is related to the physical capital. Many statistical investigations identified this reality. Of late years, a great crowd of economists studying an the problem of economic development have turned their attention towards human capital. Thereupon, this paper has dealt with the fact that educational investment affects physical capital and employment. The qualitative increment of human capital will increase the productivity but excessive expenditure on human capital will squander a physical capital. In designing a strategy of human capital for economic development, one needs to consider tile level of educational investment because educational investment of developing countries will be accasionaly made or marred by investment level and direction.

소셜미디어를 통한 사회자본 유형이 소비자시민성에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Social Capital Types Through Social Media on Consumer Citizenship)

  • Consumer citizenship is essential for better market and economy, and social capital plays an important role for raising consumer citizenship. This study explored the types of social capital developed on social media, and investigated the relationship between consumer citizenship of college students and social capital. Using data from 263 undergraduate students currently using social media, K-mean cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, chi-squared test, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. The major results were as follows. First, four types of social capital on social media were identified: mediocre social capital, instrumental-centered social capital, weak social capital, and strong social capital. Second, socio-demographic characteristics variables such as gender and work experience showed significant difference by type of social capital through social media. In addition, the most used social media and time for using social media variables showed significant difference by type of social capital through social media. Third, controlling for socio-demographic characteristics and social media usage pattern, the types of social capital had a significant effect on consumer citizenship. Based on the results, the implications for consumer education to develop consumer citizenship were suggested.
