The understanding of the mechanism of device degradation has been accomplished recently, for devices using $AlQ_3$ electron transport and emitter molecule. In this presentation the experimental evidence for the degradation mechanism of $AlQ_3$ based devices will be reviewed, showing that the hypothesis of an unstable $AlQ_3^+$ cation explains a large amount of experimental data. This hypothesis, however, explains not only the room temperature device degradation in time but also sheds light on temperature stability of OLEDs. Dependence of half-life of a series of devices with an emitter layer composed of a mixture of $AlQ_3$ and different hole transport molecules (mixed emitter layer) will be discussed when they are operated at elevated temperatures. These results can also be explained in the framework of an unstable $AlQ_3^+$ species. An OLED structure containing a doped mixed emitter layer will be described, which shows extraordinary stability, half-life of 1200 hours at operating temperature of 70 C and initial luminance of 1650 $cd/m^2$. We will also discuss a novel Black $Cathode^{TM}$ OLED with reduced optical reflectivity, which is also stable at elevated temperatures. The new cathode utilizes a conductive light-absorbing layer made of a mixture of metals and organic materials.

Purposes : The Purpose of this study was to review a current status on acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in Canada focusing on the rules of regulatory bodies of 5 states including legislation history, development in professional self-regulation, education and evaluation system. Methods : Based on literature review, we studied on 5 legislated states cases, educational accreditation status and licensure system. We also interviewed on a person who is a chair of CTCMA & CARB-TCMPA and more TCM practitioners in British Columbia within educational topics. Results & Conclusions : Acupuncture legislations have been approved by the governments in Canada between 1988 and 2014 within the acceptance of self-regulation. Since then, regulatory bodies in each states have tried to strengthen their duties and rights as a healthcare professionals. Based on firm laws and regulations, occupational competency-based education in acupuncture and TCM has been gradually improved and established quite well in parallel with a development of higher educational system in Canada.

This research conducted empirical and comparative study following interview concerning the relationship of acceptance attitudes and expected effects of the teleworking between Korean and Canada organizations. Independent variable was acceptance attitude, and the expected effect as dependent variable. Totally, 201 responded questionnaires (Korea : 118, Canada : 83) were analyzed for multiple regression and mean difference between groups. On January 1, 2015, Canada had agreed FTA (free trade agreement) with Korea. Therefore, many organizations can have opportunities for sharing hands in social infrastructures and business area. As a result, the research found out that teleworking can positively improve employee's quality of life, efficiency of works. Moreover, respondents informed us that it may give us national and social cost saving. The BYOD (bring your own device) will be helpful to make employees do more active communication. This comparative research expects that two countries have some insights to cooperate in smart work or teleworking. In addition, several Korean companies can have chances to export IT technologies to Canada market.

The Canadian production of American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius L.) occurs mainly in Ontario, British Columbia and the Atlantic provinces. Although ginseng is a profitable crop, its successful production is dependent on careful consideration of cultural management f include site selection, site preparation, seed selection and handling, shading actors which and mulching, pest and nutritional management, and handling of harvested crops. Diseases of particular concern in Atlantic Canada are root rots caused by Phytopkthora cactorum, Cylindrocarpon destructans and Fusarium sp. Recently two systemic fungicides (metalaxyl and fosetylal) were registered; however, growers in Atlantic Canada have experienced metalaxyl resistance resulting from the reliance on this single compound for the control of Phytophthora sap. Current research being conducted on alternative control of these diseases will be discussed. In weed control research, 2, 4-D, MCPA, clopyralid have continued to show promise for weed contro1 at low rates. In trials to evaluate non-selective herbicides as post-senescence or pre-emergence in ginseng, glyphosate (Round-up) provided control of perennials as well as willowherb and lambsquarters. In phytoxicity trials, ginseng significantly tolerated grass herbicides, including clethodim, rimsulfuron, trakloxydim, nicosulfuron and fenoxyprop. For broadleaf herbicides, significant tolerance was shown for bromoxynil, thifensulfuron methyl, flumetulam/clopyralid, thifensulfuro/tribenuron. Disease and weed management of ginseng in Atlantic Canada will be discussed.

This study presents a coolant void reactivity analysis of Canada Deuterium Uranium (CANDU)-6 and Advanced Canada Deuterium Uranium Reactor-700 (ACR-700) fuel lattices using a Monte Carlo code. The reactivity changes when the coolant was voided were assessed in terms of the contributions of four factors and spectrum shifts. In the case of single bundle coolant voiding, the contribution of each of the four factors in the ACR-700 lattice is large in magnitude with opposite signs, and their summation becomes a negative reactivity effect in contrast to that of the CANDU-6 lattice. Unlike the coolant voiding in a single fuel bundle, the $2{\times}2$ checkerboard coolant voiding in the ACR-700 lattice shows a positive reactivity effect. The neutron current between the no-void and voided bundles, and the four factors of each bundle were analyzed to figure out the mechanism of the positive coolant void reactivity of the checkerboard voiding case. Through a sensitivity study of fuel enrichment, type of burnable absorber, and moderator to fuel volume ratio, a design strategy for the CANDU reactor was suggested in order to achieve a negative coolant void reactivity even for the checkerboard voiding case.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the administrative system and legislation of Canada's libraries with priority given to public library. Canada is a constitutional monarchy, a federal state and parliamentary democracy with 10 provinces and 3 territories and two systems of law(civil law and common law). There are about 1,045 public libraries in total and its governance and legislation is a provincial responsibility. For that reason. federal government did not legislate on public libraries and library act is the provincial public library statute authorizing the establishment and operation of public libraries and their management by boards. In Canada. each provincial library act provides for four types of public libraries : municipal libraries, regional libraries, districts libraries, and integrated public library systems.

Korea has many industrial Complexes all over the country. But most of them are composed of industries having low technology, low knowledge. So Korean industry are not able to innovation in technology. Especially, Korean Industries are not clustered in similar industry and they are not connected with research institute. Canada has los of clustered complexes in her country being able to innovation. So for the development of Korean industry, all the industrial park have to be quickly changed to the innovation clusters.

In the knowledge-based society of the new millenium, major countries have implemented computer literacy. Recently the Korean government announced 'CyberKorea21'and established 5 year information & communication technology development plan. In Canada, project CANARIE represents a contribution to building the communications infrastructure of the high-speed communications networks of the 21st century. Countries around the world are looking to Canada as the model for Internet research network(Ca*net3) and 'connecting Canadian'. The purpose of this paper is on the strategic implications through comparative analysis of computer literacy between Canada and Korea.

This paper examines the seismicity of the offshore area of western Canada in the light of findings from a detailed study of an earthquake swarm which occurred in the area during November-December in 1971. The distribution of epicenters and focal mechanism solutions of a few main events suggest that the seismicity of the area may largely be interpreted in terms of plate interactions among the Pacific, Juan de Fuca, Explorer and North American plates. Differences between the patterns of seismicity along the transform fracture zones and at their junctions with the ridges were also observed.

다양한 고리형 에스테르 및 고리형 케톤 화합물을 시도하여 새로운 구조-II 및 구조-H 수용성 하이드레이트 형성체를 발견하였다. 이렇게 새로이 발견된 하이드레이트 형성체에 대해서는 상평형 측정 및 분광학적 분석을 수행하여 안정영역과 분자 거동을 파악하였다. 새로이 발견된 하이드레이트 형성체는 물과의 용해성이 우수하여 하이드레이트 형성이 빠른 속도로 이루어져 실제 응용 분야에서 중요하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.
