페롭스카이트 촉매의 제조와 메탄 산화에 응용 (Preparation of Perovskite Catalysts and Its Application to Methane Combustion)

  • Methane combustion over perovskite catalysts was investigated. For the preparation of catalysts, Co, Mn, Fe, and Ni were used as B-site components of the perovskite catalysts $(ABO_3)$ and La was used as A-site component. The effect of calcination temperature on methane combustion and perovskite structure was also investigated. The structure of perovskites, surface area, and adsorbed oxygen species were tested with XRD, BET apparatus, and $O_2-TPD$, respectively. The formation of perovskite structure was affected by the calcination temperature. The catalyst desorbing oxygen at a lower temperature showed better activity for the methane combustion, therefore, the oxygen species desorbing at lower temperatures is responsible for the methane combustion.

  • In this paper, to obtain the YbB $a_2$C $u_3$ $O_{x}$ superconductor, the mixed Powders of Y $b_2$ $O_3$, BaC $O_3$, CuO and Y $b_2$BaCu $O_{5}$, BaCu $O_2$ were used and the various calcining conditions were applied for the 123 phase of YbB $a_2$C $u_3$ $O_{x}$. Samples were prepared by the mixed oxide method and calcined with various temperatures of 88$0^{\circ}C$ ~91$0^{\circ}C$ . It was observed that the distribution of YbB $a_2$C $u_3$ $O_{x}$ phase which was calcined at 90$0^{\circ}C$ for 12 hours and 99 hours. But the result of long time calcination(99 hrs), the 123 phase of YbB $a_2$C $u_3$ $O_{x}$ was existed between 89$0^{\circ}C$ and 91$0^{\circ}C$ . And the best case could be obtained at the calcination temp. of 90$0^{\circ}C$ from the mixed Powder of YbB $a_2$C $u_3$ $O_{5}$ and Bacu $O_2$ which were prepared individually.idually.

  • The preparations of deodorizing fibers using $TiO_2$ have been investigated. The fibers were coated with $TiO_2$ for the purpose of deodorizing by dipping fibers into the $TiO_2$ sol solutions and calcined at $450^\circ{C}$, $500^\circ{C}$ and $750^\circ{C}$ for 1 h after coating. The surface structure of the coated fibers was studied with XRD on the different preparation conditions of calcination temperatures. The deodorizing function of the prepared fibers was studied by the determination of the decomposing capability for $NH_3,\;CH_3SH\;and\;CH_3CHO$. The deodorant activity(D.A.) of these deodoriBing fibers was measured by chromogenic gas detector tubes. The deodorizing effect of the prepared fibers were shown to be similar for the three model compounds; 5wt% $TiO_2$ sol solution calcined at $450^\circ{C}$ < 5 wt% $TiO_2$ sol solution calcined at $500^\circ{C}$< 5 wt% TiO$_2$ sol solution calcined at $750^\circ{C}$.

알루미나에 담지한 백금 촉매상에서 휘발성 유기화합물 톨루엔 및 톨루엔+자일렌의 저온산화 (Catalytic Deep Oxidation of Volatile Organic Compounds Toluene and Toluene+Xylene over γPt/γ-Al2O3 Catalysts at Lower Temperatures)

  • The catalytic activity of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts for the oxidation of toluene and toluene+xylene mixture was investigated in the microreactor of fixed-bed type. The calcination temperatures and loadings of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts played the important role in the activity of catalysts for the oxidation of toluene. The increasing calcination temperatures and loadings of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts increased the crystallite size of the platinum to result in the higher oxidation activity of catalysts. The catalytic activity for the toluene oxidation over $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts turned out to be increasing in the order of $500^{\circ}C\;<\;800^{\circ}C<600^{\circ}C\;<\;700^{\circ}C$ for calcination temperatures and 0.1 wt% < 0.3 wt% < 1.0 wt% for platinum loadings, respectively. The 1.0 wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts calcined at $700^{\circ}C$ for 3 hrs in the air showed the highest activity for the oxidation of the toluene. The decrease of oxidation activity of $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts calcined at $800^{\circ}C$ might result from the decrease of active sites by sintering of platinum metals as well as ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ supports. The 1.0wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalyst showed the activity from the lower temperature at $120^{\circ}C$, reached the light-off temperature ($T_{50%}$) at $180^{\circ}C$, and leveled off its activity at $340^{\circ}C$ with the conversion of 100% 'Mutual promotion' effects were observed for the binary mixture of toluene and xylene. The activity of the easy-to-oxidize toluene was slightly increased with the existence of the xylene. It might suggest the different mechanism for the oxidation of toluene and xylene on the $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts on different sites, and its reaction of gaseous oxygen.

탄산칼슘의 비등온 열적거동 (Non-isothermal Behavior of Calcium Carbonate)

  • This study has been carried out to investigate the non-isothermal behaviors and kinetic parameter of calcium carbonate by different thermal analysis methods. At the heating rate of $10^{\circ}C$/min, the onset calcination temperature, the peak and final temperatures of calcium carbonate were $612^{\circ}C$, $748^{\circ}C$, and $890^{\circ}C$ respectively. As the heating rate of the calcium carbonate increased from $5^{\circ}C$/min to $20^{\circ}C$/min, the peak temperature increased from $719^{\circ}C$ to $782^{\circ}C$. The activation energies of the calcium carbonate calculated by the methods of Kissinger and Freeman-Carroll were 40.15 kcal/mol and 43.47 kcal/mol, respectively.

  • Titanium dioxide particles are used as cosmetics, pigments, photocatalysts, adsorbents, catalytic supports, and sensors. The $TiO_2$ particles were prepared by the precipitation in TTIP/Solvent mixtures and calcined at different temperatures. The resulting materials were characterized by XRD and SEM testing techniques. The $TiO_2$ particles phase composition was determined by XRD ranging from amorphous to crystalline anatase and rutile largely proportional to the calcination temperature.

Electrical and Mechanical Properties of Ordered Mesoporous Silica Film with HMDS Treatment

  • In order to reduce a signal delay in ULSI, low resistive metal and intermetal dielectric material of low dielectric constant are required. Ordered mesoporous silica film is proper to intermetal dielectric due to its low dielectric constant and superior mechanical properties. In this study, ordered mesoporous silica films was synthesized using TEOS (tetraethoxysilane) / MTES (methyltriethoxysilane) mixed silica precursor and Brij-$76^{(R)}$ surfactant. These films had the porosity of 40% and dielectric constant of 2.5. To lower dielectric constant, the ordered mesoporous silica films were surface-modified by HMDS (hexamethyldisilazane) treatment. HMDS substituted -OH groups on the surface of silica wall for -Si$(CH_3)_3$ groups. After the HMDS treatment, ordered mesoporous silica films were calcined at various calcination temperatures. Through the investigation, it was concluded that the proper calcination temperature is necessary as aspects of structural, electrical, and mechanical properties.

  • $Mg_4Nb_2O_9$ (MN) ceramics have been prepared by a sol-gel method. The powder characteristics, phase evolution, and microwave dielectric properties of the MN were investigated in various processing conditions such as sol-gel compositions, calcination, and sintering temperatures. A Qxfo value of 111,717 GHz with a ${\varepsilon}_r$ of 10.59 and a ${\tau}_f$ of $+1.736\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ was obtained after sintering at $1300^{\circ}C$ for 5 h.

순산소연소 조건에서 석회석의 소성특성 및 로내탈황에 관한 연구 (Study on Calcination Characteristics of Limestones for In-Furnace Desulfurization in Oxy-Fuel Combustion)

  • 순산소연소 배가스 중 $CO_2$ 농도는 가스의 재순환으로 인해 95%까지 농축 가능하며, $CO_2$ 농도가 높은 조건에서 석회석의 소성특성은 기존의 공기 연소와 다르게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 흡수제로 특성이 다른 세 종류의 국내산 석회석을 이용하여, 소성온도에 따른 석회석의 소성특성에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 흡수제 종류, 반응온도 등의 운전변수가 $SO_2$ 제거효율에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고, 반응생성물을 포집하여 황 함량을 측정하였다. 소성온도가 증가함에 따라 석회석의 소성율 및 비표면적은 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 반응온도가 증가함에 따라 $SO_2$ 제거효율은 증가하였으며 석회석의 종류에 따라 $SO_2$ 제거효율이 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 최고효율 나타낸 석회석 시료에 대한 반응생성물 분석결과 시료 내 황 함량은 약 10% 정도인 것으로 나타났다.

전기방사법에 의해 합성된 무방향성 산화아연 나노섬유의 일산화질소 가스 감지 특성 (Electrospun Non-Directional Zinc Oxide Nanofibers as Nitrogen Monoxide Gas Sensor)

  • We report on the NO gas sensing properties of non-directional ZnO nanofibers synthesized using a typical electrospinning technique. These non-directional ZnO nanofibers were electrospun on an $SiO_2$/Si substrate from a solution containing poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) and zinc nitrate hexahydrate dissolved in distilled water. Calcination processing of the ZnO/PVA composite nanofibers resulted in a random network of polycrystalline ZnO nanofibers of 50 nm to 100 nm in diameter. The diameter of the nanofibers was found to depend primarily on the solution viscosity; a proper viscosity was maintained by adding PVA to fabricate uniform ZnO nanofibers. Microstructural measurements using scanning electron microscopy revealed that our synthesized ZnO nanofibers after calcination had coarser surface morphology than those before calcination, indicating that the calcination processing was sufficient to remove organic contents. From the gas sensing response measurements for various NO gas concentrations in dry air at several working temperatures, it was found that gas sensors based on electrospun ZnO nanofibers showed quite good responses, exhibiting a maximum sensitivity to NO gas in dry air at an operating temperature of $200^{\circ}C$. In particular, the non-directional electrospun ZnO nanofiber gas sensors were found to have a good NO gas detection limit of sub-ppm levels in dry air. These results illustrate that non-directional electrospun ZnO nanofibers are promising for use in low-cost, high-performance practical NO gas sensors.
