Design and Implementation of Slotmachine Accounting Protocols (SAS-G2S) Converter (슬롯머신 회계 프로토콜 (SAS-G2S) 컨버터의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper describes design and implementation experience of SAS-G2S slotmachine accounting protocol middleware system that converts the legacy binary format SAS (Slot Accounting System) protocol with servers with recent standards G2S protocol. The paper examines the difference of two protocols such as link control, message format, and parameters. The converter architecture uses bridge and connector patterns and implemented in C++ and Python mixed language on Linux environment. The prototype system uses a 1GMHz-512MB linux machine and has passed Korean official protocol compatibility and performance test in 2015.

  • For effective battlefield situation awareness and command resolution, information exchange without seams between systems is essential. However, since each system was developed independently for its own purposes, it is necessary to ensure interoperability between systems in order to effectively exchange information. In the case of our military, semantic interoperability is guaranteed by utilizing the common message format for data exchange. However, simply standardizing the data exchange format cannot sufficiently guarantee interoperability between systems. Currently, the U.S. and NATO are developing and utilizing information exchange models to achieve semantic interoperability further than guaranteeing a data exchange format. The information exchange models are the common vocabulary or reference model,which are used to ensure the exchange of information between systems at the content-meaning level. The information exchange models developed and utilized in the United States initially focused on exchanging information directly related to the battlefield situation, but it has developed into the universal form that can be used by whole government departments and related organizations. On the other hand, NATO focused on strictly expressing the concepts necessary to carry out joint military operations among the countries, and the scope of the models was also limited to the concepts related to command and control. In this paper, the background, purpose, and characteristics of the information exchange models developed and used in the United States and NATO were identified, and comparative analysis was performed. Through this, we intend to present implications when developing a Korean information exchange model in the future.

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) is a suitable protocol for supporting Internet telephony services and currently market requirements fur developing supplementary telephony services such as unconditional call forwarding, call forwarding on busy or no answer, call filtering services have recently grown. CPL(Call Processing Language) is a standard technology that can be used to describe and control internet telephony services. In this paper, we describe the CPL system for supplementary Internet telephony services using SIP as an application level call signaling protocol. Those supplementary services are composed of CPL client which is a SIP UA, SIP Proxy server, Registrar and CPL server In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the CPL server system in detail which is developed in Linux 7.2 using C and C++ programming languages.

  • A delegation of privileges is one of important processes that empower authority to relevant node to process job that user wants in large-stale distributed environment such as Grid Computing. However, existing delegation methods do not give suitable privilege about Job, and do not atomize range of delegation and exists delegation of access privilege for only resources itself that is not delegation about executing process of job itself. Also, they do not apply about process that needs delegation before and after. execution of job such as reservation of system resources or host access before and after execution. Therefore, this paper proposes a method and specification for restricted delegation in distributed environment. Proposed method separates delegation for job side and privilege side, and express specification and procedure of delegation using XML schema and UML and present restricted delegation scenario in distributed computing environment.

  • The data broadcasting service, which is growing remarkably today, provides viewers with useful information as well as high quality video and audio. Service information is a kind of additional data that contains a wide range of information such as channel list and/or program title. Each service information is transmitted in the form of a table. And most standard committees have specified their own table list used for carrying the service information. Consequently, It causes incompatibility among services that each broadcast operators produce because the tables that they use differ from each other. In this paper, we propose a general-purpose service information processing system for an integrated data broadcasting middleware that is compatible with heterogenous broadcasting environments. The system is able to change its target table list dynamically without any code modification. Futhermore, we also adopted a thread pool model for efficient parsing and event dispatching.

Developing a BIM-Based Methodology Framework for Sustainability Analysis of Low Carbon High-Rise Buildings

  • In high-density high-rise cities such as Hong Kong, buildings account for nearly 90% of energy consumption and 61% of carbon emissions. Therefore, it is important to study the design of buildings, especially high-rise buildings, to achieve lower carbon emissions in the city. The carbon emissions of a building consist of embodied carbon from the production of construction materials and operational carbon from energy consumption during daily operation (e.g., air-conditioning and lighting). An integrated analysis of both types of carbon emissions can strengthen the design of low carbon buildings, but most of the previous studies concentrated mainly on either embodied or operational carbon. Therefore, the primary objective of this study is to develop a holistic methodology framework considering both embodied and operational carbon, in order to enhance the sustainable design of low carbon high-rise buildings. The framework will be based on the building information modeling (BIM) technology because BIM can be integrated with simulation systems and digital models of different disciplines, thereby enabling a holistic design and assessment of low carbon buildings. Structural analysis program is first coupled with BIM to validate the structural performance of a building design. The amounts of construction materials and embodied carbon are then quantified by a BIM-based program using the Dynamo programming interface. Operational carbon is quantified by energy simulation software based on the green building extensible Markup Language (gbXML) file from BIM. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) will be applied to analyze the ambient wind effect on indoor temperature and operational carbon. The BIM-based framework serves as a decision support tool to compare and explore more environmentally-sustainable design options to help reduce the carbon emissions in buildings.

  • 방통융합시대가 도래함에 따라 방송망뿐만 아니라 IP망을 통해 콘텐츠를 소비할 수 있는 스마트TV의 보급이 급속히 확산되고 있다. 또한 영상과 음악 및 광고와 같은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 소비 환경이 한 화면에 한 가지의 미디어 서비스만 제공받는 환경에서 다양한 정보를 동시에 소비할 수 있는 환경으로 확대되면서 다양한 정보를 하나의 화면에서 혼용적으로 전달하기 위한 장면구성정보가 필요하게 되었다. 장면구성정보는 미디어가 소비되는 특정 시간과 해당 공간의 정보를 기술하므로써 다수의 미디어를 복합적으로 소비하는 방법으로, IP 기반에서도 여러 개의 화면을 통해 여러 소스의 콘텐츠를 소비하여 다양한 사용자 경험(User Experience)를 제공하고자 ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29/WG11(별칭 MPEG)에서는 방송서비스에서 방송망 및 IP망을 활용하여 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송할 때 사용하는 MPEG Media Transport(MMT)를 기반으로 장면구성정보를 제공하기 위한 MMT-Composition Information(MMT-CI)를 기술표준화하였다. 본 논문에서는 MMT-CI의 표준문서에 따라 W3C의 웹언어인 HTML5와 확장성 언어인 XML을 이용하여 멀티소스를 활용한 장면구성정보를 기술하는 것을 제안하고 장면구성서비스에 적용을 위한 플레이어를 구현 및 검증한다.

  • This paper presents an automated API translator for embedded software development based on a model-driven approach. Since MDA(Model Driven Architecture) provides little support for the development of embedded software, we propose a new approach containing its advantages. First, we define #generic APIs# which do not depend on any RTOS#s but provide most of typical RTOS services. We can describe RTOS-related behaviors of target application using these generic APIs in a CIC(Common Intermediate Code). Then, we propose a transformation tool for translating between a CIC using generic APIs and a C-code for specific RTOS. The proposed API translator converts them using XML transformation rule which is defined outside. It indicates that an API translator extends to other RTOS#s by modifying or adding the transformation rule. From the experiment. we validate the proposed method.

  • 현대 사회는 웹이라는 것을 통하여 수많은 정보들을 얻을 수 있으며 시간과 공간을 초월하고 있다. 이러한 정보들 가운데 이미지, 동영상, 오디오, 텍스트 등을 실시간으로 동시에 제공받는 것은 아직도 웹 상에서는 한계가 있다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 W3C(World Wide Web Consortium)에서 XML 어플리케이션의 하나로서 SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language)이란 표준화한 방안과 기술을 개발하였고, 이러한 표준화된 SMIL을 바탕으로 기존의 디지털 T.V, VOD, 웹 상에서의 멀티미디어 프리젠테이션 등과 같은 분야와 연계하고자 하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나, 리얼시스템사의 G2나 애플사의 QuickTime과 같은 SMIL을 지원하는 상용 플레이어들을 비롯한 기존의 다양한 SMIL 플레이어에는 SMIL 문서를 검색할 수 있는 해결책을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 현재와 같으 기하급수적인 웹의 발전은 기본적인 웹의 기능 외에 웹에 대한 다양한 검색 기능이 제공되면서부터 이며 웹의 이러한 발전 과정을 미뤄볼 때 SMIL 또한 이러한 검색 기능의 제공은 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 그러므로, 본 논문에서는 기존의 SMIL 플레이어들이 지원하지 못했던 검색 기능을 지원하기 위해 SMIL에서 의미를 가지는 엘리먼트와 컨텐트를 가지고 인덱스를 구축하고, 또한 이를 이용하여 산재해 있는 SMIL 문서와 문서내의 미디어 객체 등에 대한 검색을 수행한 후 선별적으로 디스플레이할 수 있게 하는 검색 기능을 갖는 SMIL 플레이어를 설계 및 구현한다.

  • 최근 네트워크의 발달과 인터넷의 보편화에 따라 지리정보는 않은 분야에서 활용되고 있으며, 그 범위가 해양으로까지 넓혀지고 있다. 하지만 전자해도 등의 해양 지리정보는 선박의 항해와 같은 특수한 목적으로만 사용되어져 왔고 전용의 표시시스템을 사용해야만 하기 때문에 범용적이지 못하다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 또한 기존의 지리정보시스템들은 각각 독자적인 포맷으로 데이터를 표현하고 관리해왔기 때문에 시스템 상호간의 호환성이 떨어지고 데이터의 교환이 용이하지 않았다. 이를 극복하기 위하여 OGC에서는 지리정보를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 XML 기반의 GML 표준을 발표하였고, W3C에서는 벡터 그래픽의 표준인 SVG를 제안하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 선박의 항해에만 제한적으로 사용되던 전자해도를 다양하게 활용하고 비전문가도 이용할 수 있도록 GML과 SVG에 기반한 전자해도 관리시스템을 개발하였다. 즉. GML로 표현된 전자해도를 데이터베이스화하고 사용자의 질의에 부합하는 전자해도를 검색하여 이를 SVG로 변환하여 웹 브라우저를 통하여 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.
