A Sustainable Strategy and Action Plan of Social Enterprise in Korea

  • Social Enterprise (SE) has a vital role to play in helping meet some main commitments for Korea-growing economy; supporting stronger communities; closing opportunity gap-together with the developing a vibrant third sector. The Strategy and action plan is intend to grow and develop us of social enterprise business model in Korea. The sustainable strategy and action plan will be useful for Korea's Social enterprise. This paper will suggest that from the sustainable strategy to action plan of social enterprise in Korea.

  • 최근의 많은 기업들이 정보화 추진에 있어서 정보기술전략과 비즈니스 프로세스 개선을 동시에 추진할 때 기업성과가 높게 나타난다고 하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 정보화 추진에 있어서 정보기술전략과 비즈니스 프로세스 개선을 병행하여 추진할 때 기업과가 높이 나타나는지를 실증적으로 규명하기 위해 연구에 대한 구성개념을 기술지향성 과 업무지향성 나누고, 이들에 대한 종속변수로서 기업성과를 설정하였다. 가설검정 결과를 보면 기술지향성은 기업성과에 영향을 미치고 있다. 또한 업무지향성과 기술지향성은 상호작용에 의해 기업성과에 보다 더 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 보면 기업이 정보화를 추진하고 투자함에 있어서 정보기술적인 측면의 기술지향성만을 추구하는 것보다는 비즈니스 프로세스 개선 관점의 업무지향성과 동시에 추진하는 것이 기업성과가 높이 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다.

농촌관광 사업자의 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Business Performance of Rural Tourism Operators)

  • The study aims to identify the factors affecting business performance of rural tourism operators. For this study, 1,004 questionnaires were collected by field survey of rural tourism operators. The linear multiple regression analysis were used to identify factors affecting performance of rural tourism business. The result indicate that the factors influencing the sales of rural tourism business were in order of owning sales facilities, perception of multi-functional value of agriculture and rural, group promotion, number of rooms, and gender. In the case of gender, it was found that females had a high probability of positively affecting sales. The factors influencing the satisfaction of the rural tourism business were in the order of management strategy, number of days of operation, perception of multi-functional value of agriculture and rural, and business career. In the case of management strategy, it was found that the differentiation strategy have a positively affecting the satisfaction of the rural tourism business. As for the business career, the shorter the career, the higher the probability of positively affecting the satisfaction of the rural tourism business. The results of this study would be useful for establishing strategies to improve the management performance of the rural tourism business.

  • With the dawn of the 21st century, the corporate business environment started to witness the unprecedented, intense competition on global basis. As a result, the kind of corporate business activity that can respond swiftly to the new changes emerged as one of the most critical factors to increase corporate competitiveness. Being reborn as a strategy-focused organization means seeking innovation. And the strategy not involving innovation is just meaningless. It is this innovation that lies at the heart of the corporate strategy, and that is the only way for continuation of the corporation. The most important pending issue facing companies today is to bolster corporate competencies fit for new business environment, to develop corporate culture required for getting competitiveness edge back, and ultimately to put the company on the continued growth path. Corporate culture, as the very underlying belief and philosophy, is not just woven into the fabric of the corporate management strategy and into the way the company is doing its business. It also, as a regulation and norm for its employees to stick by, affects the way they think and behave. This paper aims at presenting the role of the corporate culture in working out problems encountered by companies today, like corporate innovation, instilling vitality to the organization, beefing up the underlying corporate capabilities, and making transformation required by the changing business environment.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 들어 새로운 소프트웨어의 유통방식으로 이슈가 되고 있는 ASP/SaaS 산업현황과 비즈니스 모델의 개발전략에 대하여 기술한다. 먼저 ASP/SaaS 산업현황에서는 ASP의 진화개념으로서의 SaaS에 대하여 정의하고, ASP/SaaS 사업자와 이용자의 현황에 초점을 맞추어서 기술하기로 한다. 그리고 최신 IT 기술발전에 대응할 수 있는 ASP/SaaS 비즈니스 개발 전략을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 비즈니스 개발 전략은 ASP/SaaS 사업자들이 향후 비즈니스 시장에 새롭게 진출하거나 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 가이드라인으로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

The Momentum Strategy of Small Foreign Investors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange

  • This research aimed to analyze the momentum strategy of foreign investors with the smallest trading transactions in the Indonesian stock market. This study applied a quantitative method approach using intraday transaction data of companies listed on the LQ-45 Index for March, April, and May 2017, obtained from the Indonesia Capital Market Institute (TICMI) which is a subsidiary of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The number of companies with available data is 35 companies, consisting of 23 non-government stocks and 12 government stocks. The number of observations from the 35 companies was 8,686,030 observations where the government companies recorded 2,751, 545 and the non-government companies 1,387,016 observations. All data was then squeezed and grouped into small, medium, and large trade transaction orders. The data analysis method used was paired t-test with SPSS to analyze cumulative abnormal returns in the formulation and test periods. This study found that small foreign investors carried out momentum strategies on stocks listed on the LQ-45 Index. However, re-testing was done by separating government and non-government shares. It turned out that small foreign investors performed a momentum strategy on non-government and a contrarian strategy on government.

The Effects of Self-Regulated Learning on Career Decision-Making Efficacy through Positive and Negative Attitudes in the Fourth Industrial Era

  • As the environment changes become more complex, learners should establish the learning strategy for the 4th industrial era and the post-COVID-19, also change. This paper focuses on the importance of self-regulated learning. Through this learning strategy, learners will form more positive attitudes and reduce negative attitudes toward the 4th industrial era. This attitude change will lead to an improvement in learners' career decision-making efficacy as a sense of future efficacy. As a result of the study, it was demonstrated that self-regulated learning improves career decision-making efficacy through the mediating effect of positive attitude formation toward the fourth industry. This article emphasizes the necessity of self-regulated learning as a valid learning strategy for the new era. The effect of self-regulated learning is explained as an improvement in attitude toward the future and a sense of efficacy. Through this learning strategy, learners' future performance could be improved.

  • Research in operations strategy has evolved considerably since Wickham Skinner's early conceptual work. Traditionally research in operations strategy has not explicitly recognized the distinction between process and content research. However, separate conceptual models for process and content are extracted from the literature Recent research in operations strategy has focused on showing the extent to which manufacturing's competence in developing and executing one or more competitive capabilites affects the organization's overall business performance. This paper takes a approach to examining the relationships among competitive capabilities, and the relationships among between those capabilities and business performance.

Change in Manufacturing Strategy: An Empirical Study

  • The purpose of this study is to identify types of dynamic manufacturing strategies and their effects on business performance. Three characteristics of Korean manufacturing should be noted. First, it is found that there are six types of dynamic manufacturing strategies in Korea. Second, the roles of the infrastructural and structural action programs become different according to different types of dynamic manufacturing strategies. Third, the strategy of continuously fostering both cost leadership and differentiation capabilities has turned out to be very effective in Korea.

The Effect of Business Strategy on Stock Price Crash Risk

  • Purpose: This study attempted to examine the risk of stock price plunge according to the firm's management strategy. Prospector firms value innovation and have high uncertainties due to rapid growth. There is a possibility of lowering the quality of financial reporting in order to meet market expectations while withstanding the uncertainty of the results. In addition, managers of prospector firms enter into compensation contracts based on stock prices, thus creating an incentive to withhold negative information disclosure to the market. Prospector firms' information opacity and delays in disclosure of negative information are likely to cause a sharp decline in share prices in the future. Research design, data and methodology: This study performed logistic analysis of KOSPI listed firms from 2014 to 2017. The independent variable is the strategic index, and is calculated by considering the six characteristics (R&D investment, efficiency, growth potential, marketing, organizational stability, capital intensity) of the firm. The higher the total score, the more it is a firm that takes a prospector strategy, and the lower the total score, the more it is a firm that pursues a defender strategy. In the case of the dependent variable, a value of 1 was assigned when there was a week that experienced a sharp decline in stock prices, and 0 when it was not. Results: It was found that the more firms adopting the prospector strategy, the higher the risk of a sharp decline in the stock price. This is interpreted as the reason that firms pursuing a prospector strategy do not disclose negative information by being conscious of market investors while carrying out venture projects. In other words, compensation contracts based on uncertainty in the outcome of prospector firms and stock prices increase the opacity of information and are likely to cause a sharp decline in share prices. Conclusions: This study's analysis of the impact of management strategy on the stock price plunge suggests that investors need to consider the strategy that firms take in allocating resources. Firms need to be cautious in examining the impact of a particular strategy on the capital markets and implementing that strategy.
