This paper quantitatively analyzes the investment performance of the environmental improvement fund focusing on the sales effect and the housing benefit effect. The analysis of this study focused on the effects of sales and housing benefits for completed business sites among the business sites supported by the Environmental Improvement Fund. The analysis results are as follows. First, it appears that the sales effect of the completed workplace is effective compared to the amount of investment, so it seems that the purpose of industrial integration of the environment improvement fund is being achieved. Second, it was found that there are variations by workplace and region in housing benefits. This seems to be due to the fact that profitability can be neglected by reflecting the characteristics of residential facilities built by private businesses. The Environmental Improvement Fund is a policy fund that pursues both profitability and publicity. Therefore, it is necessary to transform the structure of the fund to expand support for industrial infrastructure with high publicity. To this end, it is necessary to establish a long-term management plan that equitably considers the profitability and publicity of the environmental improvement fund.

The growth and employment effects of R&D investment were analyzed according to business size, export value and manufacturing sectors so as to suggest improvement directions for effective industry policies. The effect of R&D investment was considered simultaneously from the two perspectives of growth and employment effect, and the causality analysis was carried out by using a path analysis. The result of the path analysis confirmed significant differences in the growth effect of R&D investment depending on business size. However, the effect of increasing employment was difficult to obtain statistically significant results for any various combinations of business size and export value. This is a mixture of directions for the effects of R&D investment on employment, which could be due to the failure to consider appropriate time lags between investment and effect. Efficiency analysis by industry sectors confirmed significant differences in efficiency depending on business size, but differences depending on export value were difficult to identify. In order to derive improvement policy by industry sector according to business size and export value, the direction of selective support policy and universal support policy was derived for six industry groups by combining the return to scale in the efficiency analysis and R&D concentration. Hirschman-Herfindahl index is used for calculating R&D concentration.

The trouble rank of business management of the small-medium manufacturing enterprises in Korea is constituted by that average 28.6% of production management in the worst trouble of business management from 1982 to 1999. The status of production management approaching problem is analyzed for Korean small-medium manufacturing enterprises and it us checked productivity improvement and requirement facts impede productivity improvement. It is expected to contribute much productivity improvement through a new established model of production management system and technique or tool for small-medium manufacturing enterprises in Korea.

Continuing and Developing the growth, the company should focus on 'time to market of high quality production' and 'cost down'. Due to the complexity of the production, reliability is being one of the important factor. In this study, in particular, focus on parts reliability test improvement about printer product and proceeded. Need test improvement for time to market that is developed, and reduce expense with test period that is required at Reliability Test time of new parts and should high quality level of product. Finally huge Failure Cost (F-COST) occurs because quality level of product drops if parts that accomplish product does not ensure reliability and this is associated by malfunction in marketplace.

The trouble of business management of the manufacturing industrial companies in korea are constituted by that average 26∼29% of production management in the worst trouble of business management from 1973 to 1997. A movement for higher productivity and quality is very important of the basis for industry society prosperity. Continuous productivity improvement have a right understanding of a conception of productivity and its effect that are removed an act before the trouble of higher productivity enforcement. The higher productivity is used by way of a welfare society.

The import quantity of the fishing products is very rapidly increasing in the Korea. In the result, the inspection problems are caused to important issues in the fishing products import managements. The major problems of the Korean fishing products inspection are in the system side and structure side. The important improvement schemes are the changement to positive system in the system side, and the unitary in the structure side.

This research studies the role of IT (Information Technology) in improving productivity of a company through samll group activities. For this purpose, this research analyzed the samll group activities of the company as to how IT was employed bo improve business processes. Cases of small group activities that were conducted from January, 1996 to December, 1996 in a Korean company (name withdrawn) were analyzed. Eight out of eleven small group activities have been studied. They were examined as to the effect of IT in time and cost savings, reduction in manpower and so on. TQM is the activity of process improvement based on the existing processes in pursuit of satisfaction of customers' needs. This study analyzed how IT was used to solve the current problem in business processes. As a result of the case study, it is found that TQM activities with IT could reduce expenses significantly. More specifically, expenses have been cut down by 56% a year on average. By improving the business processes through the activities of TQM which used IT, companies could remove the unnecessary business processes and the duplicated business processes. In other words, with the use of IT in TQM activities, they could move closer to goals of the satisfaction of the customers' needs by reducing expenses and time. This study examined the role of IT from the point of view of business process improvement. Internally, IT has a positive impact on reducing expenses, processing time, manpower and so forth. Externally, it plays an important role of company's gaining competitive advantage through the satisfaction of customers and stakeholders. In conclusion, the proper use of IT will significantly increase the performance of a company.
