The Relationship between Entrepreneurial Education and Entrepreneurial Intentions : Focusing on Moderating Effects of Entrepreneurial Orientation and Environmental Factors (창업교육과 창업의지의 관계: 기업가 지향성과 환경적 요인의 조절효과)

  • This study attempts to empirically examine the influence of entrepreneurial education in university on entrepreneurial intentions of undergraduate and graduate students as potential entrepreneur and new moderating factors on the relationship between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intentions. We suggested EO(innovativeness, risk-taking propensity, proactiveness and locus of control) and environmental factors(entrepreneurial family background and resource accessibility) as new moderating factors in the relationship. For this study, the following research questions are raised : First, is there a significant difference in entrepreneurial intentions of enrolled and unenrolled students in entrepreneurial education? Second, does entrepreneurial education affect entrepreneurial intentions positively? Finally, do EO and environmental factors have moderating effects in the relationship between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intentions? In order to test our research model, the current study collected data from 265 undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in natural sciences or engineering in Seoul National Univ., Hanyang Univ., and KAIST. To investigate our research questions and hypotheses, independent-sample T-test and hierarchical regression analysis were employed. The results of empirical analysis revealed that entrepreneurial education positively related to entrepreneurial intentions and that the relationship between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intentions moderated by EO and environmental factors. First, the result showed the significant difference in entrepreneurial intentions between enrolled and unenrolled students in entrepreneurial education. Entrepreneurial intentions of students who enrolled entrepreneurial education was higher than others. Second, entrepreneurial education affected the entrepreneurial intentions positively. Finally, the moderating effects of innovativeness, risk-taking propensity, proactiveness and entrepreneurial family background among investigated six moderators were significant. entrepreneurial education-entrepreneurial intentions relationship was even stronger under high innovativeness and high proactiveness. But risk-taking propensity and entrepreneurial family background decreased the effect of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intentions.

  • Science & Technology(S&T) is the most important thing to attain competitiveness in the 21st century, Our traditional S&T policies have been focused on hardware infra structure. we should consider software of S&T to enhance effectiveness. S&T should be had a correct understanding method of the creation for S&T culture. It implies that S&T policy in the 21st century should consider nonmaterial factors which include social, human, environmental and culture. Under this background, The purpose of this paper is to seek new S&T policy in the 21st century. Therefor this paper deals with how we can prepare for the future S&T policy and classify the change of S&T policy of Korea and analyze the characteristic of each phase. This paper argues that all actors (for example, S&T personnel, corporate using S&T, general public) should participate in the process of S&T innovation since the 21st century is the generation of the general public S&T. Also this paper presented the expanded S&T policy Right S&T policy could leads to diffuse right S&T culture. Diffusing S&T culture could accomplish expanded S&T policy which was considered phases of culture and welfare.

A Study on Relationship between Fishing Rights Conflict and Fisheries Cooperatives Establishment in Tongyeong during the Period of Japanese Colonial Rule (일제강점기의 통영인근지역 어업권 분쟁과 어업·수산업관련 협동조합 설립에 대한 역사적 고찰)

  • Though the debate of the establishment time, place and characteristic of the first fisheries cooperatives in Korea has been existed, it is clear that they had been established in the neighborhood of Tongyeong during the period of Japanese colonial rule. But the objective, motive and historical background of the first fisheries cooperatives are still slightly vague. To explain and explore that of fisheries cooperatives, over 1,000 articles of media, about 100 document of the Japanese government-general of Korea and the annals of the Joseon dynasty, many of research paper and others were included and refined. Through the result of that process, three core factors were founded that affect both the emergence of fisheries cooperatives and relationship of the them. The first one is about the royal family's fishing area where in the neighborhood of Tongyeong. The next one is Kentaro Kashii who was called king or devil of the Korean fisheries industry and the last one is fishermen and their organizations including fisheries cooperatives. Some of the above and the fishing rights conflict that make a guidance for understanding them has not been clearly mentioned. The result of this study shows that the birth of the first fisheries cooperatives were caused by not only the Japanese government-general of Korea but mainly Korean fishermen's voluntary activity and free will against fishing rights conflict between them. And both of the first fisheries cooperatives had somewhat difference in their constitution of organization and their characteristics but it was a tragic irony that the more exploitation and despoliation were conducted by Japanese government-general and Japanese capitalist the more movement and activity of Korean were frequently and severely occurred. Even though the findings and results of this study would be a proof and helpful material for understanding the establishment and their activity of fisheries cooperatives in Tongyeong, more research and contribution would be need by members of fisheries academic and business world.

  • When it comes to the development of a retail market, it has not only influenced the supply and sales of seafood, but it has also led to considerable changes in consumers' purchasing behavior and purchasing purposes. As consumers' incomes and lifestyles have improved, the tendency to purchase seafood has rapidly changed. In addition, the increase in two-income family incomes that resulted from women's active participation in society has increased the number of consumers purchasing home meal replacements (HMR) or convenience food rather than original food. With these changes in social-economic background and in consumers' needs, the purchase of seafood is gradually changing. As a result, companies are constructing diverse marketing strategies to satisfy their needs. Companies' marketing strategies have an immediate and vital effect on consumers' purchases of seafood. The most important and fundamental role is providing an opportunity for consumers to choose what to buy by being giving information and knowledge. In this paper, the purchasing behavior of consumers buying seafood will be examined with respect to their knowledge. First, which factors among a diverse range of marketing strategies exerted a significant impact on consumers' objectives and subjective knowledge was examined. Second, the study investigated which knowledge factors were important in influencing attitudes and purchasing purposes based on knowledge level. By comparing and analyzing factors related to consumers' knowledge with respect to seafood purchases, information is provided to inform companies about efficient strategies for marketing tactics.

Analysis of Status of Radiation/Radioisotopes Utilization

  • Background: The use of radiation and radioisotopes in Korea has been increasing each year, and its impact on economy and industry is expected to be increasing progressively following the development of industrial technology and the expansion of their usage. To establish and supporting policies for industries using radiation and radioisotopes, it is necessary to check the status of related industries accurately, as well as to gather data required to establish plans for industrial development by studying both revenues and economic scale (contributing to revenue). Materials and Methods: To analyze the status of utilization, surveys were carried out on 6,621 organizations engaged in nuclear operations handling radiation and radioisotopes pursuant to the Nuclear Safety Act as of end 2014, on 33,471 medical institutions using radiation generators for medical and diagnostic purposes pursuant to the Medical Service Act, and on 2,218 organizations using radiation generators for animal diagnostics pursuant to the Veterinary License Act. Results and discussion: The overall status of the domestic radiation market including the number of user organizations, that of employees, and the size of distributions (imports, productions, and exports) with which the scale of domestic radiation market can be judged showed a growth trend compared to the previous year, though the number of employees for radiation operation in industrial sector, research sector, education sector, military sector, and power plants (nuclear power plants) and the size of imports was reduced somewhat. Conclusion: It is expected that data acquired through periodic surveys on the status of utilization would be utilized practically in establishing governmental policies related to the promotion of usage of radiation and radioisotopes, and also be utilized widely in cultivating and developing the industry efficiently to invigorate the related industries.

논제 부정 Access에 대한 Firewall의 과제와 대책

  • Firewall은 다양한 부정Access의 방지책으로서 확실히 유효한 수단이지만 이 Firewall은 사용자로부터 지시된 설정을 충실히 실행하는 것으로 설정 오류, 소프트웨어의 정지, 허가된 룰을 악용한 침입 등 반드시 사용자가 바라는 작용을 무조건적 상태에서 보증해 주는 것은 아니다. 따라서 사용자는 도입 후 에도 운용시에 Access log를 감시하고 본래의 Security Policy에 반하는 행위를 매일 매일 체크하지 않으면 안될 상황에 처해 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 부정Access에 대한 이와 같은 Firewall의 현상에 대한 과제 중에서 "부정Access를 어떻게 하면 일찍, 정확히 체크할 수 있는가\ulcorner"라는 주제를 선택하여 Firewall의 한계와 그 대응책을 실제로 부정Access를 시험해 보는 것으로 검증하기로 하였다. 실험결과에서 (1)Port Scan이나 전자메일 폭탄(서비스정지공격)등은 Firewall로 방지하는 것은 불가능하거나 혹은 Checking이 곤란하다. (2)공격마다 로그 수집을 했음에도 관계없이 Firewall의 로그는 번잡하므로 단시간에 사태의 발견이 대단히 곤란하다고 하는 Firewall의 한계를 인식하였다. 그리고 그 대책으로서 우리는 체크 툴의 유효성에 착안하여 조사한 결과, 결국 무엇이 부정Access인가에 대해서는 어디까지나 이용하는 측이 판단하여 Firewall 상에 설정하지 않으면 안되지만 체크 툴은 이 부정Access 정보를 데이터베이스로서 갖고 있음으로써 '무엇이 부정Access인가'를 이용자 대신에 판단하고 툴에 따라서는 설정을 자동적으로 변경하여 부정 Access의 저지율을 향상시킨다. 이처럼 체크 툴은 Firewall의 수비능력을 보강하는 위치에 있다고 생각할 수 있다.다. 4 장에서는 3장에서 제기한 각각의 문제점에 대해 RAD 의 관점에 비추어 e-business 시스템의 단기개발을 실현하기 위한 고려사항이나 조건 해결책을 제안한다. 본 논문이 지금부터 e-business 를 시작하려고 하는 분, e-business 시스템의 개발을 시작하려고 하는 분께 단기간의 e-business 실현을 위한 하나의 지침이 된다면 다행이겠다.formable template is used to optimize the matching. 생명공학과 담배 및 다른 작물들의 응용 현황

  • 농업 유전공학 기술은 생산성 향상, 환경보전, 식품의 안정성 및 품질향상에 기여함은 물론 농업의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 유일한 대안으로 인식되고 있다. 전 세계적으로 유전자 재조합 작물의 경작지는 2000년 한해동안 지난해 같은 기간에 비해 11% 증가하였으며 이는 1996년 대비 25배 증가하였고, 선진국과 개발도상국은 각각 2%, 51% 1999년 대비 증가하였다. 1983년 유전자 재조합에 의한 식물의 형질전환이 성공한 뒤 종묘업계는 형질전환 종자개발과 보급에 열중하고 있으며 종자시장에 형질전화 품종이 차지하는 비율은 2000년 30억 달러에서 2010년이면 전체의 60%인 200억 달러에 이를 것으로 전망된다. 1995년 제초제 저항성 콩(라운드업레디콩)이 농가에 보급된 이후 2000년 형질전환품종 재배면적이 3990만 ha에 이르렀고 1997년 미국과 캐나다는 옥수수, 대두, 면화, 감자, 유채 등의 형질전환 품종 재배로 각각 3억1400만 달러, 5300만 달러를 벌어들였음. 형질전환 품종의 보급 증가속도는 소비자들의 GMO에 대한 거부반응으로 다소 주춤한 상태이다. 그러나 최근 종자회사들은 생태계 위해성 논란을 피해갈 수 있는 연구로 이러한 상황을 돌파하려 하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 유전자변형 생물체에 관한 법률이 제정되었으며 많은 대학과 연구소에서 형질전환 연구가 꾸준히 이루어지고 있고 최근 제초제 저항성 벼와 바이러스 저항성 감자가 개발돼 GMO 안정성 점검에 들어가 있고, 살충성 배추, 혈압강하 토마토, 지방산 강화 들깨, 병저항성 고추 등도 실험실과 포장에서 재배되고 있다. 이르면 4-5년 뒤 형질전환 작물들이 농가에 보급될 전망이다. 이처럼 체크 툴은 Firewall의 수비능력을 보강하는 위치에 있다고 생각할 수 있다.다. 4 장에서는 3장에서 제기한 각각의 문제점에 대해 RAD 의 관점에 비추어 e-business 시스템의 단기개발을 실현하기 위한 고려사항이나 조건 해결책을 제안한다. 본 논문이 지금부터 e-business 를 시작하려고 하는 분, e-business 시스템의 개발을 시작하려고 하는 분께 단기간의 e-business 실현을 위한 하나의 지침이 된다면 다행이겠다.formable template is used to optimize the matching. Pediatricians' perception of factors concerning the clinical application of blockchain technology to pediatric health care: a questionnaire survey

  • Background: Interest in digital medical information has increased because it allows doctors to easily access a patient's medical records and provide appropriate medical care. Blockchain technology ensures data safety, reliability, integrity, and transparency by distributing medical data to all users over a peer-to-peer network. This study attempted to assess pediatricians' thoughts and attitudes toward introducing blockchain technology into the medical field. Methods: This study used a questionnaire survey to examine the thoughts and attitudes of 30- to 60-year-old pediatricians regarding the introduction of blockchain technology into the medical field. Responses to each item were recorded on a scale ranging from 1 (never agree) to 7 (completely agree). Results: The scores for the intentions and expectations of using blockchain technology were 4.0 to 4.6. Pediatricians from tertiary hospitals responded more positively (4.5-4.9) to the idea of using blockchain technology for hospital work relative to the general population (4.3-4.7). However, pediatricians working in primary and secondary hospitals had a slightly negative view of the application of blockchain technology to hospital work (p=0.018). Conclusion: When introducing the medical records of related pediatric and adolescent patients using blockchain technology in the future, it would be better to conduct a pilot project that prioritizes pediatricians in tertiary hospitals. The cost, policy, and market participants' perceptions are essential factors to consider when introducing technology in the medical field.

Occupational Safety & Health Management and Corporate Sustainability: The Mediating Role of Affective Commitment

  • Background: Occupational safety & health management (OSH) has garnered greater attention for its significance in promoting corporate sustainability for organizations in recent decades. The construction industry, in particular, is a major contributor to Malaysia's thirst for corporate sustainability in order to provide long-term support for the country. Thus, the main tenet of this study is to examine the mediating effect of employee affective commitment on the relationship between OSH and corporate sustainability. Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 273 full-time employees of listed construction companies in Malaysia. Smart PLS software version 3 was used to test the proposed model and hypotheses. Both the measurement model and the structural model were evaluated. Results: According to the findings, OSH and its dimensions are positively related to employee affective commitment. Employee affective commitment, on the other hand, has been found to be significantly related to corporate sustainability and its dimensions: economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Apart from this, the prominent results reveal that employee affective commitment partially mediates the relationship between OSH and corporate sustainability and its dimensions: economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Conclusion: This empirical finding adds to the existing literature in explaining how OSH and affective commitment led to corporate sustainability. Several implications are offered to various stakeholders, such as construction companies, policymakers, and relevant regulators.

A Study on the Retailer's Global Expansion Strategy and Supply Chain Management : Focus on the Metro Group (소매업체의 글로벌 확장전략과 공급사슬관리에 관한 연구: 메트로 그룹을 중심으로)

  • Purpose - The structure of retailing has changed as retailers develop markets in response to business environment changes. This study aims to analyze the general situation of retailers in order to predict future global strategy using case studies of overseas expansion strategy and the Metro Group's global strategy. Research design, data, and methodology - The backgrounds to the new retail business model and retailer classification are analyzed as theoretical data. In addition, the key success point of the Metro Group's "cash and carry" strategy is analyzed as is the Metro Group's global CFAR (collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment) strategy. Finally, the plan for cooperation and precise forecasting under the Metro Group's supply chain management are analyzed from the promotion environment viewpoint. Related materials analyzed included the 2012 annual report, the Metro Group's web page, and a video interview with the executive in charge of global strategy and the new market development department. Some data were revised to avoid disrupting essential aspects of the case studies. Results - The important finding was that the Metro Group could be a world-class retail company with its successful global expansion strategy. The Metro Group's global strategy's primary goal is to have a leading business position in Eastern and Western Europe. The "cash and carry" strategy is highest priority in its overseas expansion strategy. Moreover, the Metro Group has standardized product planning capacity, which could be applied in various countries with different structural and cultural backgrounds. This is the main reason that the Metro Group could rapidly become successful in the Eastern Europe and Asian markets through its structural overseas expansion strategies. In addition, the Metro Group emphasizes the importance of supply chain management. Conclusions - First, retailers should create additional value through utilizing the domestic market, market power, and economies of scale to launch a global strategy to maximize benefits from diversification. Second, the political, economic, and cultural background of the target country needs to be understood to successfully implement the overseas expansion strategy. Third, the main factor of successful cooperation with a local partner is how quickly the company gains total understanding of the business resources and core competence of its partner. All organizations should focus on the achievement of goals in order to successfully operate the partnership. Fourth, retailers should improve their business, financial and organizational structure. Moreover, the work processes and company culture should also be improved to respond strongly in the competitive global market. Fifth, the essential point of a successful retail business is the control capacity of its branding and format. The retailer could avoid forecasting errors through supply chain management by perfectly distributing the actual amount of its inventory. In addition, the risks along the supply chain are effectively shared between the supply chain partners. Finally, the central tendency of the market is to gain in strength with this taking place across all parts of the business.
