인버터 제어방식을 이용한 Flash butt 용접기의 용접성능 향상 (Improvement of Welding Performance of Flash bull Welder by on Inverter Controlled Technology)

  • 본 연구에서는 프래쉬버트 용접에서의 용접성을 향상시키기 위하여 인버터를 대용량 시스템에 적용하여 타당성을 검증하였다. 제안된 시스템은 풀브릿지 인버터방식을 채택하고, DSP제어기를 사용하였다. 인버터시스템으로 동작 주파수를 향상시키면서 기존의 위상 제어형 용접기의 용접성과 비교하여 스패터가 저감되는 등 용접성이 개선되는 것을 여러 가지 금속학적인 방법들을 이용하여 확인하고, 인버터 시스템의 타당성을 검증하였다.

금형주조 구상흑연주철의 칠 형성 경향에 미치는 화학조성 및 열처리의 영향 (Effects of Alloying Elements and Heat-Treatment on the Tendency of Chill Formation of Ductile Cast Iron Produced by Metal Mold Cast)

  • The effects of C, Si and RE additions on the tendency of chill formation of ductile cast iron obtained from metal mold casting were investigated. In case of metal mold cast, the ductile cast iron with 2.5%Si had pearlitic matrix, and specimens with 2.9%Si had bull's eye type regardless of C contents. As-cast specimen with a large amount of fine graphites could be obtained by adding 0.2% RE. Normalizing process was necessary to remove carbide and form a large amount of spheroidal graphites for the as-cast specimens. Good mechanical properties could be obtained by heat-treatment of as-cast specimens with pearlitic matrix. Normalizing the specimens with RE caused the reduction in mechanical properties.

복합재 구조물의 초기파손후의 거동묘사를 위한 모델과 해석방법 (Model and Method for Post-Failure Analysis of Composite Structure)

  • 본 연구에서는 복합재 구조물에 대하여 유한요소해석법에 현상학적 모델인 전 단지연해석을 도입하여 강성저하와 모재파손을 예측하고 변형률을 매개변수로 한 Wei- bull 함수를 섬유파손해석에 도입하여 초기파손후의 거동을 묘사하고자 한다. 그리 고 면내전단하중이 작용하는 경우에 대해 전단지연해석을 수행할 수 있도록 모델링을 확장했다. 모재균열의 존재로 인한 단층의 강성변화는 실험으로 측정이 불가능하므 로 유한요소해석을 수행하여 비교하였다. 이 모델로부터 전단강성의 저하를 평가하 는 방법을 사용하였으며, 모재파손의 밀도 예측도 평균변형률 개념으로 전단효과를 고 려할 수 있도록 수정하였다. 그리고 초기파손후의 거동을 점진적으로 해석하기 위해 비선형 유한요소프그램을 작성하고, 상기의 모델을 도입하여 초기파손후의 거동을 보 다 정확히 묘사할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고 예로서 평시편에 대해 해석하고 실험치 및 타방법의 결과와 비교하였다.

LORENTZIAN ALMOST PARACONTACT MANIFOLDS AND THEIR SUBMANIFOLDS

  • This is a survey article on almost Lorentzian paracontact manifolds. The study of Lorentsian almost paracontact manifolds was initiated by Matsumoto [On Lorentzian paracontact manifolds, Bull. Yamagata Univ. Nat. Sci. 12 (1989), 151-l56]. Later on several authors studied Lorentzian almost paracontact manifolds and their different classes, viz. LP-Sasakian and LSP-Sasakian manifolds. Different types of submanifolds, for example invariant, semi-invariant and almost semi-invariant, of Lorentzian almost paracontact manifold have been studied. Here, we present a brief survey of results on Lorentzian almost paracontact manifolds with their different classes and their different kind of submanifolds.

A RESULT ON A CONJECTURE OF W. LÜ, Q. LI AND C. YANG

  • In this paper, we investigate the problem of transcendental entire functions that share two values with one of their derivative. Let f be a transcendental entire function, n and k be two positive integers. If $f^n-Q_1$ and $(f^n)^{(k)}-Q_2$ share 0 CM, and $n{\geq}k+1$, then $(f^n)^{(k)}{\equiv}{\frac{Q_2}{Q_1}}f^n$. Furthermore, if $Q_1=Q_2$, then $f=ce^{\frac{\lambda}{n}z}$, where $Q_1$, $Q_2$ are polynomials with $Q_1Q_2{\not\equiv}0$, and c, ${\lambda}$ are non-zero constants such that ${\lambda}^k=1$. This result shows that the Conjecture given by W. $L{\ddot{u}}$, Q. Li and C. Yang [On the transcendental entire solutions of a class of differential equations, Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 51 (2014), no. 5, 1281-1289.] is true. Also we exhibit some examples to show that the conditions of our result are the best possible.

Purification, Structure Determination and Biological Activities of 20(29)-lupen-3-one from Daedaleopsis tricolor(Bull.ex Fr.)Bond.et Sing.

  • The dried fruit-body of Daedaleopsis tricolor was extracted by the petroleum ether. The extracts were purified by liquid-liquid extraction, column chromatography, and recrystallization. The purified compound was a colorless orthorhombic crystal form. Its melting point, molecular weight and molar extinction coefficient $(\varepsilon)$ were estimated $168-170^{\circ}C$, 424 and 3,935 at 208 nm, respectively. Its structure was elucidated to be 20(29)-lupen-3-one by UV-Vis, FT-IR, NMR and X-ray crystallographic analysis. It showed antifungal activities against Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Microsporum gypseum, and antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas pyocyanea, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus. In addition, this compound showed an antioxidative activity on lipid-peroxidation by 6.4%.

Application of Multichannel Quantum Defect Theory to the Triatomic van der Waals Predissociation Process II

  • Generalized Multichannel Quantum Defect theory (MQDT) was implemented to the vibrational predissociation of triatomic van der Waals molecules in the previous paper [Bull. Korean Chem. Soc, 12, 228 (1991)]. Implementation was limited to the calculation of the scattering matrix. It is now extended to the calculation of the predissociation spectra and the final rotational distribution of the photofragment. The comparison of the results with those obtained by other methods, such as Golden-rule type calculation, infinite order sudden approximation (IOS), and close-coupling method, shows that the implementation is successful despite the fact that transition dipole moments show more energy dependence than other quantum defect parameters. Examination of the short-range channel basis functions shows that they resemble angle-like functions and provide the validity of the IOS approximation. Besides the validity of the latter, only a few angles are found to play the major role in photodissociation. In addition to the implementation of MQDT, more progress in MQDT itself is made and reported here.

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Liquid Alkanes. Ⅱ. Dynamic Properties of Normal Alkanes : n- Butane to n- Heptadecane

  • In a recent paper[Bull. Kor. Chem. Soc. 17, 735 (1996)] we reported results of molecular dynamic (MD) simulations for the thermodynamic and structural properties of liquid n-alkanes, from n-butane to n-heptadecane, using three different models. Two of the three classes of models are collapsed atomic models while the third class is an atomistically detailed model. In the present paper we present results of MD simulations for the dynamic properties of liquid n-alkanes using the same models. The agreement of two self-diffusion coefficients of liquid n-alkanes calculated from the mean square displacements (MSD) via the Einstein equation and the velocity auto-correlation (VAC) functions via the Green-Kubo relation is excellent. The viscosities of n-butane to n-nonane calculated from the stress auto-correlation (SAC) functions and the thermal conductivities of n-pentane to n-decane calculated from the heat-flux auto-correlation (HFAC) functions via the Green-Kubo relations are smaller than the experimental values by approximately a factor of 2 and 4, respectively.

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Liquid Alkanes III. Thermodynamic, Structural, and Dynamic Properties of Branched-Chain Alkanes

  • In recent papers[Bull. Kor. Chem. Soc. 1996, 17, 735; ibid 1997, 18, 478] we reported results of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations for the thermodynamic, structural, and dynamic properties of liquid normal alkanes, from n-butane to n-heptadecane, using three different models. Two of the three classes of models are collapsed atomic models while the third class is an atomistically detailed model. In the present paper we present results of MD simulations for the corresponding properties of liquid branched-chain alkanes using the same models. The thermodynamic property reflects that the intermolecular interactions become weaker as the shape of the molecule tends to approach that of a sphere and the surface area decreases with branching. Not like observed in the straight-chain alkanes, the structural properties of model Ⅲ from the site-site radial distribution function, the distribution functions of the average end-to-end distance and the root-mean-squared radii of gyration are not much different from those of models Ⅰ and Ⅱ. The branching effect on the self diffusion of liquid alkanes is well predicted from our MD simulation results but not on the viscosity and thermal conductivity.

MEROMORPHIC FUNCTION PARTIALLY SHARES SMALL FUNCTIONS OR VALUES WITH ITS LINEAR c-SHIFT OPERATOR

  • In this paper, we have studied on the uniqueness problems of meromorphic functions with its linear c-shift operator in the light of partial sharing. Our two results improve and generalize two very recent results of Noulorvang-Pham [Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 57 (2020), no. 5, 1083-1094] in some sense. In addition, our other results have improved and generalized a series of results due to Lü-Lü [Comput. Methods Funct. Theo. 17 (2017), no. 3, 395-403], Zhen [J. Contemp. Math. Anal. 54 (2019), no. 5, 296-301] and Banerjee-Bhattacharyya [Adv. Differ. Equ. 509 (2019), 1-23]. We have exhibited a number of examples to show that some conditions used in our results are essential.
