In this paper, we propose an efficient encryption algorithm, without exchanging session keys of a symmetric cryptosystem. The proposed scheme, called as the FAKE(Fast Asymmetric Key Encryption), first scrambles an entire input message and then encrypts small parts of the scrambled message using an asymmetric key encryption scheme. We use the all-or-nothing transform based on the hash function as a scrambling function, which was proposed by Shin, et al. Furthermore, the proposed scheme can additionally provide a digital signature service with only small overhead.

A high-impulse, low-power, digital microthruster has been developed using low-boiling-temperature liquid propellant with high-viscosity fluid plug. The viscous fiction force of the fluid plug increases the blast pressure and the low-boiling-temperature liquid propellant is intended to reduce input power consumption. The three-layer microthruster has been fabricated by surface micromachining as well as bulk micromachining in the size of 7$\times$13$\times$1.5㎣. A digital output impulse bit of 6.4$\times$10$^{-8}$ Nsec has been obtained from the fabricated microthruster using perfluoro normal hexane (FC72) propellant and oil plug, resulting in about ten times increase of the impulse bit using one hundredth electrical input energy compared to the conventional multiple-shot microthruster.
A high-impulse, low-power, continuous-shot microthruster has been developed using low boiling temperature liquid-propellant with high viscous fluid-plug. The viscous friction force of the fluid-plug increases the blast pressure and the low boiling temperature liquid-propellant is intended to reduce input power consumption. The three-layer microthruster has been fabricated by surface micromachining as well as bulk micromachining in the size of $7{\times}13{\times}1.5mm^{3}$. A continuous output impulse bit of $6.4{\times}10^{-8}N{\cdot}sec$ has been obtained from the fabricated microthruster using perfluoro normal hexane (FC72) propellant and oil plug, resulting in about ten times increase of the impulse bit using one hundredth electrical input energy compared to the conventional continuous microthruster.
We present in this Paper a microwave Power sensor fabricated by a standard CMOS process and a bulk micromachining process. The sensor consists of a CPW transmission line, a resistor as a healer, and thermocouple arrays. An input microwave heater, the resistor so that the temperature rises proportionally to the microwave power and tile thermocouple arrays convert it to an electrical signal. The sensor uses air bridged 8round of CPW realized by wire bonding to reduce tile device size and cost and to improve the thermal impedance. Al/poly-Si junctions are used for the thermocouples. Poly-Si is used for tile resister and Aluminium is for transmission line. The resistor and hot junctions of the thermocouples are placed on a low stress silicon nitride diaphragm to minimize a thermal loss. The fabricated device operates properly from 1㎼ to 100㎽\ulcorner of input power. The sensitivity was measured to be ,3.2~4.7 V/W.
Platinum thin films were deposited on Si-wafer by DC magnetron sputtering for RTD (Resistance Thermometer Devices). We investigated the physical and electrical characteristics of these films under various conditions, the input power, working vacuum, temperature of substrate and also after annealing these films. The Resistivity and Sheet Resistivity were decreased with increasing the temperature of substrate and the annealing time at $1000^{\circ}C$. At substrate temperature $300^{\circ}C$, input power 7(w/$cm^2$), working vacuum 5mtorr and annealing conditions $1000^{\circ}C$, 240min we obtained $10.65{\mu}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, Resistivity of Pt thin film and $3000{\sim}3900ppm/^{\circ}C$, TCR(temperature coefficient of resistance) closed to the bulk value.

In a group-testing method, instead of testing a sample, for example, blood individually, a batch of samples are pooled and tested simultaneously. If the pooled test is positive (or defective), each sample is tested individually. However, if negative (or good), the test is terminated at one pooled test because all samples in the batch are negative. This paper considers a queueing system with a two-stage group-testing policy. Samples arrive at the system according to a Poisson process. The system has a single server which starts a two-stage group test in a batch whenever the number of samples in the system reaches exactly a predetermined size. In the first stage, samples are pooled and tested simultaneously. If the pooled test is negative, the test is terminated. However, if positive, the samples are divided into two equally sized subgroups and each subgroup is applied to a group test in the second stage, respectively. The server performs pooled tests and individual tests sequentially. The testing time of a sample and a batch follow general distributions, respectively. In this paper, we derive the steady-state probability generating function of the system size at an arbitrary time, applying a bulk queuing model. In addition, we present queuing performance metrics such as the offered load, output rate, allowable input rate, and mean waiting time. In numerical examples with various prevalence rates, we show that the second-stage group-testing system can be more efficient than a one-stage group-testing system or an individual-testing system in terms of the allowable input rates and the waiting time. The two-stage group-testing system considered in this paper is very simple, so it is expected to be applicable in the field of COVID-19.
A hierarchical multi-scale modeling strategy devoted to the study of a Bitumen-Bound Gravel (BBG) is presented in this paper. More precisely, the paper investigates the temperature-dependent linear viscoelastic of the material when submitted to low deformations levels and moderate number of cycles. In such a hierarchical approach, 3D digital Representative Elementary Volumes are built and the outcomes at a scale (here, the sub-mesoscale) are used as input data at the next higher scale (here, the mesoscale). The viscoelastic behavior of the bituminous phases at each scale is taken into account by means of a generalized Maxwell model: the bulk part of the behavior is separated from the deviatoric one and bulk and shear moduli are expanded into Prony series. Furthermore, the viscoelastic phases are considered to be thermorheologically simple: time and temperature are not independent. This behavior is reproduced by the Williams-Landel-Ferry law. By means of the FE simulations of stress relaxation tests, the parameters of the various features of this temperature-dependent viscoelastic behavior are identified.

This paper proposes a high-efficiency single-stage ac/dc converter. The proposed converter features low voltage stresses and reduced switching losses. It operates at the boundary of discontinuous- and continuous-conduction modes by employing variable switching frequency control. The turn-on switching loss of the switch can be reduced by turning it on when the voltage across it is at a minimum. The voltage across the bulk capacitor is independent of the output loads and maintained within the practical range for the universal line input, so the problem of high voltage stress across the bulk capacitor is alleviated. Moreover, the voltage stress of the output diodes is clamped to the output voltage, and the output diodes are turned off at zero-current. Thus, the reverse-recovery related losses of the output diodes are eliminated. The operational principles and circuit analysis are presented. A prototype circuit was built and tested for a 150 W (50V/3A) output power. The experimental results verify the performance of the proposed converter.

AIN-based film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) devices which adopt a membrane-type configuration such as Mo/AIN/bottom-metal/Si are fabricated by employing a novel process. The proposed resonator structure does not require any supporting layer above the substrate, which leads to the reduction in energy loss of the resonators. For all the FBAR devices, the frequency response characteristics are measured and the device parameters, such as return loss and input impedance, are extracted from the frequency responses, and analyzed in terms of the various metals such as Al. Cu, Mo, W used in the bottom-electrode. The mass-loading effect caused by the used bottom-electrode metals is found to be the main reason for the difference revealed in the measured characteristics of the fabricated FBAH devices. The results obtained in this study also show that the degree of match in lattice constant and thermal expansion coefficient hetween piezoelectric layers and electrode metals is crucial to determine the device performance of FEAR.

Recently, a theoretically-sound design approach, using an elastic multilayer model, is attempted in trackbed designs for the construction of high speed railways and new lines of conventional railways. In the elastic multilayer model, the stress-dependent resilient modulus($E_R$) is an important input parameter, that is, reflects substructure performance under repeated traffic loading. However, the evaluation method for resilient modulus using repeated loading triaxial test is not fully developed for practical purpose, because of costly equipment and the significantly fluctuated values depending on the testing equipment and laboratory personnel. In this study, the paper will present an indirect method to estimate the resilient modulus using dynamic properties. The resilient modulus of crushed stone, which is the typical material of sub-ballast, was calculated with the measured dynamic properties and the range of stress level of the sub-ballast, and approximated with the power model combined with bulk and deviatoric stresses. The resilient modulus of coarse grained material decreases with increasing deviatoric stress at a confining pressure, and increases with increasing bulk stress. Sandy soil(SM classified from Unified Soil Classification System) of subgrade was also evaluated and best fitted with the power model of deviatoric stress only.
