경주 불국사 삼층석탑(석가탑) 파손원인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Damage of the Three Storied Stone Pagoda of Bulguksa Temple in GyeongJu)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the cause of damage to the three storied stone pagoda of Bulguksa temple in GyeongJu. This report is attempted to making reinforcement and conservation plan through investigating and analyzing the cause of damage to that. The damage is caused by occurring of stress, degrading of stone strength, changing of underground soil structure, natural disasters and so on. Compressive stress, shear stress, bending stress and lateral pressure affected to the pagoda since built up. Ultrasonic examination data tells the strength of the stone. According to this result, strength of the stereobate stone materials is enough to support the weight of the upper ones. But we could found many other factors of the damage could consider, for example the problems occurred on building the pagoda construction and the weakness of the stone material(soft rock). And many environmental factors being changed in soil structure(subsidence of soil and degradation of bearing power of soil and freezing and melting of soil) can be seen as the cause of the damage. Natural disasters like earthquake, lightning and heavy rain were also thought to give direct impact to the damage. At last Concentration of compressive stress caused the crack and exfoliation on the stone materials and shear stress, bending stress and lateral pressure were main causes of the stereobate stone materials shearing.

공공실버주택의 적정 공급에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Proper Supply of Public Silver Houses)

  • 한국은 빠르게 고령사회로 변화하고 있으므로 노인들의 주거안정문제에 대비가 시급한 상황이다. 이렇게 고령화에 따른 문제의 해결을 위해서 한국정부는 공공실버주택의 공급을 추진하고 있다. 공공실버주택의 공급이 성공적으로 정착하기 위해서는 적절한 입지선정과 재무적 타당성 분석이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 지리적 정보와 인구통계정보, 사회복지비용에 대한 정보를 활용한 통합데이터베이스 구축의 필요성을 제기하였다. 또한 이들 정보를 활용하여 최적입지 및 타당성분석을 실행할 수 있는 시스템의 개념을 제시하였다.

  • With the possibility of hot water being able to be used as a heating source in a liquid desiccant system, an experimental apparatus for regeneration of the liquid desiccant was set up and series of experiments were conducted in a climate-controlled chamber. This study was performed to ascertain the influences of experimental factors on regenerating performance and to suggest the optimal combination of factors affecting regeneration rate. Furthermore. in order to figure out the contribution ratio of the factors on regenerating performance, a multi-way factorial design among the design of experiments was adopted. According to experimental results, the most influential factor on regenerating performance was temperature of the liquid desiccant and its contribution ratio was about 79.4%. In addition. the optimal operating combination was as follows; $60^{\circ}C$ of solution temperature, $14\ell$/min of solution flow rate, and 190m3/h of air volume.

  • Design of experiments based on Taguchi's orthogonal array is utilized for exploring the design space and for building response surface models of insulator and isolator database in order to facilitate the effective solution of multi-objective optimization commonly occurred in NVH problems. Response surface models, called engineering database of design space, provide an efficient means to rapidly model the trade-off among many conflicting NVH goals in automotive. In the design of insulator and isolator in automotive interior part, it is important not only to construct effective matrices of NVH but also to build up engineering database of current products. The experimental design especially based on orthogonal array and the nonlinear optimization algorithms are successfully used together to obtain the optimal design of insulator and isolator. The $2^{nd}$ order response surface models of absorption coefficient and insertion loss are constructed by using modified Taguchi's $L_{12}2^13^7$ orthogonal array and successfully used in optimal design of insulator and isolator.

아파트 단지내 아동 유희시설의 이용행태에 관한 연구 -전주시 아파트단지를 대상으로 - (On Studying Utilization From of Children Amusement Facility in the Apartment Housing)

  • The development of science technology and high growth of economy have influenced on the change of living environment and have changed people's way of thinking and behavior. Also, apartments has appeared to solve the shortage of housing in cities. This study has a thorough grasp about problems of juvenile playground in the apartments and comes the following conclusion as a result that all sorts of details for amusement behavior have been analyzed. First, juvenile playground should be harmonized with nature, and needs a construction of amusement place that include fixed amusement facilities. Second, for a constitution of dynamic amusement place, a school playground should be opened in the public and parking lots should be utilized for dynamic amusement place in a different time. Third, juvenile playground should be classified by age, especially infant amusement facilities should be installed where a landscape architecture has placed between buildings. Also a daylight should be shined into the place, under considering the installation of bench for parents and rest space. Fourth, a location of amusement place is needed a careful consideration of the environment and building placement, in addition that suitable distance should be set up for children to come into contact easily. Fifth, insufficient things should be complemented as compared with the standards of foreign amusement facilities and guideline should be suggested for maintenance and management of amusement place.

VAV 터미널 박스의 최소풍량 제어방식 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison Analysis of Minimum Airflow Control Logic of VAV Terminal Box)

  • The minimum airflow of VAV terminal boxes is a key factor for comfort, indoor air quality(IAQ) and energy cost. If the minimum airflow is not reasonable, it would waste energy and make IAQ problems. There are two types of VAV terminal box control logic. One is the single maximum, another is the dual maximum control logic. Dual maximum control logic is more efficiency way to reduce the energy consumption. It has a minimum airflow set point and a heating maximum set point. It allows the minimum airflow set point to be much lower than single maximum control logic. A building simulation was conducted to evaluate the energy consumption and the IAQ according to the control logic of the V AV terminal box. In the simulation, dual maximum control logic can save the energy up to 6.5% compared to the single maximum control logic.

Marine Tourism Development Strategy of the South Sea through Sustainable Management of Coastal Environment

  • This study is to integratedly examine coastal management policy and marine tourism development project for Korean coasts, especially for the South Sea of high development pressure, presenting sustainable tourism development policies for the future. To do so, it is examined central government-level coastal development projects set up by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the Ministry cf Construction and Transportation, setting the direction of south coastal management and tourism development at a level of national territory planning. The problems of coastal management first and then the problems of the South Coast Tourism Belt Project are analyzed in order to present political and administrative alternatives. To overcome such problems and make Korea a marine tourism base in East Asia, there is a need for re-recognition of the value of the project and its continuous push through cooperation between central and local governments. Also, under the presupposition of consensus building among local people and the sustainable development of environments, there should be are-recognition that the future cf Korean marine tourism in the 21st-century and the success of an inverted $\pi-axis$ national development depend on the South coastal Tourism Belt Development Project.

공동주택의 바닥충격음 저감성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reduction Performance of Floor Impact Sound in Apartment Building)

  • As a result of supply-oriented housing policy of Korea since the 1960s, the number of apartment housing units has increased up to six million as of the end of 2001 that is 55% of total housing units. Although the needs of placid living environment increases according to the enhancement of residents' living standard, most of construction firms as apartment suppliers plan and design apartment buildings to maximize the profit and give rise the residents' petitions and troubles about floor impact noise. In consequence, the floor impact noise becomes one of principal problems of living environment, and the government placed the obligation of installing the noise isolation materials between upper and lower floors in 2001 and controlling the floor impact noise lower than 60dB from the middle of 2004. In other to provide the fundamental research data to enhance the reduction performance of floor impact sound, in this paper, the factors that influence on the floor impact noise are derived from the survey of many research papers and the performance of various materials used as noise reduction objects are compared and surveyed with the factors in the experiments in field and laboratory.

Interface treatment in shotcrete jacketing of reinforced concrete columns to improve seismic performance

  • An investigation of the effectiveness of the interface treatment when column concrete jacketing is performed is presented. Alternative methods of interface connection were used in order to investigate the performance of strengthened concrete columns. These connecting techniques involved roughening the surface of the original column, embedding steel dowels into the original column and a combination of these two techniques. The experimental program included three strengthened specimens, one original specimen (unstrengthened) and one as-built specimen (monolithic). The specimens represented half height full-scale old Greek Code (1950's) designed ground floor columns of a typical concrete frame building. The jackets of the strengthened specimens were constructed with shotcrete. All specimens were subjected to displacement controlled earthquake simulation loading. The seismic performance of the strengthened specimens is compared to both the original and the monolithic specimens. The comparison was performed in terms of strength, stiffness and hysteretic response. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the strengthening methods and indicate that the proper construction of a jacket can improve the behaviour of the specimens up to a level comparable to monolithic behaviour. It was found that different methods of interface treatment could influence the failure mechanism and the crack patterns of the specimens. It was also found that the specimen that combined roughening with dowel placement performed the best and all strengthened columns were better at dissipating energy than the monolithic specimen.

사고현장과 사령실간 화상전송기술에 관한 연구 (A study on the moving picture transmission method between the accident sites and control center)

  • Whenever the accidents occur in the railway areas, their prompt recovery is very important. The individual way has been used to resolve these accidents by direct visiting the site and reporting to others who cares for these cases. As a result, we are planning to operate the MTS (Moving picture Transmission System) for a timely information's transmission to the related peoples in the central control center by transforming the picture information on the accident-site to the digital information. The proposed system is not a transmission system using exclusive lines, but utilizing the existing railway computer network. We construct a network server device so that a dispatcher can easily connect with the server through the railway intranet. In some railway environments such as disturbed field situations and geographical condition(in tunnels and bridges, etc) building up the wired network is difficult. Solving this problem, we reviewed the wireless network. Finally we proposed the mixed wireless network that is able to cover the wired network. We then installed and tested the wired network and wireless network respectively in wayside of a railway field. Through the testing, we identified many detailed matters for some network construction approaches to the control room and many field device-connecting schemes. This research will contribute to minimize the number of staff dispatched to a disturbed field, decrease the accident recovery time and improve the quality of service to the passenger.
