Türkiye is located in a region where destructive earthquakes are frequently experienced due to its geological characteristics and geographical location. Therefore, considering the possibility of a devastating earthquake at any time, determining the reinforced concrete (RC) building seismic safety, constructed before or after the current seismic buildings code, is one of the most important issues to be completed firstly. For this purpose, rapid assessment methods developed to quickly determine the seismic safety of buildings are available in the literature. Comparison of the principles of Principles of the Determination of Risky Structures-2019, Column and Wall Index Method, P25 Scoring Method and Improved Discriminant Analysis Method, which are among these methods, have been aimed within the scope of this study. Within the scope of this paper, a total of 43 buildings in the Yalova/Çınarcık region of Türkiye that the damage level was determined by street observation method immediately after the 1999 Kocaeli (Izmit) Earthquake; 15 buildings with heavy damage and 28 buildings with moderate damage were examined by rapid assessment methods. Although the risk detection difference was not separated as a clear line in any of the methods used, the results obtained from the rapid assessment methods are evaluated as being compatible with the detected after earthquake structural seismic behavior of the buildings. The PDRS-2019 and column and wall index method gave the most approximate results. In the results obtained from the analyzes; structural features such as number of floors, frame continuity, soft/weak story irregularity, effective shear strength area, existence of heavy overhangs in plan, type of structural system have been found to be significantly effective on the earthquake behavior of buildings.

Many RC building structures of multiple uses constructed in Korea have the Irregularities of torsion and soft story at bottom stories simultaneously. Seismic design codes generally require dynamic analysis and to take into account the effect or earthquake excitations in the orthogonal direction using the approximate methods of 100/30 and SRSS for type of building structures. And ail buildings should be designed to be safe in any direction of earthquake input. But, most of designers have difficulty in considering the orthogonal and directional effect of earthquake. The objective of the study stated herein is to verily 1) the effect of the choice of the reference axes on the seismic design member forces by comparing the analytical results on member forces using the principal axes suggested by Wilson and the global axes generally adopted in design office, 2) the validity or the 100/30 and SRSS methods by comparing the member forces obtained through linear elastic time history analysis with those obtained through using response spectrum analysis and 100/30 (or SRSS) methods. Based on the observations on the analytical results, it is concluded as follows; 1) The values of member forces by principal axes can be about $15\%$ smaller than those by the global axes in the example structure. 2) Though the values of member forces given by time history analysis are generally within the peak values predicted by 100/30 and SRSS methods, many member force vectors $(P,\;M_y,\;and\;M_z)$ by lime history analysis were located outside the boundaries predicted by the approximate method such as the 100/30 method.

Fire is difficult to achieve good performance in image detection using deep learning because of its high irregularity. In particular, there is little data on fire detection in underground utility facilities, which have poor light conditions and many objects similar to fire. These make fire detection challenging and cause low performance of deep learning models. Therefore, this study proposed a fire detection model using deep learning and estimated the performance of the model. The proposed model was designed using a combination of a basic convolutional neural network, Inception block of GoogleNet, and Skip connection of ResNet to optimize the deep learning model for fire detection under underground utility facilities. In addition, a training technique for the model was proposed. To examine the effectiveness of the method, the trained model was applied to fire images, which included fire and non-fire (which can be misunderstood as a fire) objects under the underground facilities or similar conditions, and results were analyzed. Metrics, such as precision and recall from deep learning models of other studies, were compared with those of the proposed model to estimate the model performance qualitatively. The results showed that the proposed model has high precision and recall for fire detection under low light intensity and both low erroneous and missing detection capabilities for things similar to fire.

This study compared 24 newly-built elementary schools in Sejong City regarding the size of the site and school, as well as the outdoor space to improve the site and space programming in school planning. Among the others, one result indicates that the overall number of classes in a school should be reduced to 48, including the affiliated kindergarten, instead of the present number of 50. In addition, the number of classes must be counted in lieu of the number of student by classifying the size of school. In light of the present mean ratio of school building area per site in the city of 24.6%, which is much higher than other comparable city schools, the ratio should be about 20.0% by increasing the sports facility and outdoor spaces. In addition, the deprivation of the area caused by the district-unit-plan and the irregularity of the place should also be considered when determining the size of a school and site.

The smart grid replaces the traditional power structure with information inventiveness that contributes to a new physical structure. In such a field, malicious information injection can potentially lead to extreme results. Incorrect, FDI attacks will never be identified by typical residual techniques for false data identification. Most of the work on the detection of FDI attacks is based on the linearized power system model DC and does not detect attacks from the AC model. Also, the overwhelming majority of current FDIA recognition approaches focus on FDIA, whilst significant injection location data cannot be achieved. Building on the continuous developments in deep learning, we propose a Deep Learning based Locational Detection technique to continuously recognize the specific areas of FDIA. In the development area solver gap happiness is a False Data Detector (FDD) that incorporates a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The FDD is established enough to catch the fake information. As a multi-label classifier, the following CNN is utilized to evaluate the irregularity and cooccurrence dependency of power flow calculations due to the possible attacks. There are no earlier statistical assumptions in the architecture proposed, as they are "model-free." It is also "cost-accommodating" since it does not alter the current FDD framework and it is only several microseconds on a household computer during the identification procedure. We have shown that ANN-MLP, SVM-RBF, and CNN can conduct locational detection under different noise and attack circumstances through broad experience in IEEE 14, 30, 57, and 118 bus systems. Moreover, the multi-name classification method used successfully improves the precision of the present identification.

In this study, a direct tensile test was planned to identify the tensile performance of UHPC, and the irregularity of cracks, which is a problem of the direct tensile test, was complemented through the introduction of notches at the center of a specimen. In this regard, a number of specimens divided by batch to reduce the deviation of direct tensile test values were fabricated to present reference data with respect to highly reliable direct tensile strength values. In addition, the mechanical properties and reliability of the specimens were examined under the curing conditions of the specified design strength of 120MPa for the steel fiber reinforced concrete with 1.5% fiber volume fraction, which is most suitable for the field application. As a result, the deviation of averages by batch between compressive strength and direct tensile strength did not show a large difference, and all cracks occurred within 20mm in the direct tensile test. At the 95% confidence interval of the direct tensile strength, the range was considerably small in the mean and the standard deviation, and there was no significant difference depending on the curing conditions. The results confirmed that a stable direct tensile test was performed, and highly reliable results were obtained through the fabrication of specimens by batch and test progress.
In this study, characteristics of the seismic response of the non-earthquake resistant reinforced concrete (RC) frame were identified. The test building is designed to withstand only gravity loads and not in compliance with modern seismic codes. Smooth bars were utilized for the reinforcement. Members are provided with minimal amount of stirrups to withstand low levels of shear forces and the core concrete is virtually not confined. Columns are slender and more flexible than beams, and beam-column connections were built without stirrups. Through the modeling of an example RC frame, the feasibility of the fiber elementbased 3D nonlinear analysis method was investigated. Since the torsion is governed by the fundamental mode shape of the structure under dynamic loading, pushover analysis cannot predict torsional response accurately. Hence, dynamic response history analysis is a more appropriate analysis method to estimate the response of an asymmetric building. The latter method was shown to be accurate in representing global responses by the comparison of the analytical and experimental results. Analytical models without rigid links provided a good estimation of reduced stiffness and strength of the test structure due to bond-slip, by forming plastic hinges closer to the column ends. However, the absence of a proper model to represent the bond-slip poased the limitations on the current inelastic analysis schemes for the seismic analysis of buildings especially for those with round steel reinforcements. Thus, development of the appropriate bond-slip model is in need to achieve more accurate analysis.

The Bio-Climatic impact Assessment System, BioCAS was utilized to produce analysis maps of daily maximum perceived temperature ($PT_{max}$) and excess mortality ($r_{EM}$) over the entire Seoul area on a heat wave event. The spatial resolution was 25 m and the Aug. 5, 2012 was the selected heat event date. The analyzed results were evaluated by comparing with observed health impact data - mortality and morbidity - during heat waves in 2004-2013 and 2006-2011,respectively. They were aggregated for 25 districts in Seoul. Spatial resolution of the comparison was equalized to district to match the lower data resolution of mortality and morbidity. Spatial maximum, minimum, average, and total of $PT_{max}$ and $r_{EM}$ were generated and correlated to the health impact data of mortality and morbidity. Correlation results show that the spatial averages of $PT_{max}$ and $r_{EM}$ were not able to explain the observed health impact. Instead, spatial minimum and maximum of $PT_{max}$ were correlated with mortality (r=0.53) and morbidity (r=0.42),respectively. Spatial maximum of $PT_{max}$, determined by building density, affected increasing morbidity at daytime by heat-related diseases such as sunstroke, whereas spatial minimum, determined by vegetation, affected decreasing mortality at nighttime by reducing heat stress. On the other hand, spatial maximum of $r_{EM}$ was correlated with morbidity (r=0.52) but not with mortality. It may have been affected by the limit of district-level irregularity such as difference in base-line heat vulnerability due to the age structure of the population. Areal distribution of the heat impact by local building and vegetation, such as spatial maximum and minimum, was more important than spatial mean. Such high resolution analyses are able to produce quantitative results in health impact and can also be used for economic analyses of localized urban development.

If a hydrogen explosion occurs in a containment building, its multiplex defense wall may be destroyed and a large amount of radioactive material may be released. The hydrogen occurred interacting with melting fuel rods must be effectively controlled and removed. however, the countermeasures for reducing explosion risk are difficult to carry out, due owing to the various variety of accident scenarios causes and the irregularity of hydrogen distribution and behavior. In this study, We examine the guide structures while considering the ambient flows, in order to improve the efficiency of PAR the widely used Passive Autocatalytic Recombiner(PAR). We simulate the fluid behavior and the hydrogen reduction rate were simulated when a guide is attached to the two-step catalyst PAR. For an upward flow, the consisting of a height of 150mm, a gap of 0mm, and a performs $60^{\circ}$ showed the best. In contrast, for a sideways flow, a consisting of the height of 150mm, a gap of 100mm, and a performs $60^{\circ}$ showed the best in the case of side ward flow. for a downward flow, a consisting of the height of 50mm and a directly attached guide produce the best in the case of down ward flow results.

The settlement at the railroad foundation is often the leading cause of track irregularity and potential derailment. The control of such deformation is considered necessary in track maintenance practice. Nevertheless, the monitoring process performed by in situ surveying requires an excessive amount of manpower and cost. The InSAR, a remote sensing technique by RADAR satellite, is used to overcome such a burden. The PS-InSAR technique is preferred for a long-term precise monitoring method. However, this study aims to obtain relatively brief analysis results from only two satellite images using the D-InSAR technique, while a minimum of 25 images are required for PS-InSAR. This study verifies the precision of D-InSAR within a few millimeters by inspecting railroad facilities and land settlements in Korea Railroad Research Institute's test track with images from TerraSAR-X Satellite. Multiple corner reflectors were adopted and installed on an embankment and the building roof to raise the surface reflectivity. Those reflectors were slightly adjusted periodically to verify the detecting performance. The results revealed the optimum distance between corner reflectors. Further, the deformation of railway tracks, slopes, and concrete structures was analyzed successively. In conclusion, this study indicates that the D-InSAR technique effectively monitors the short-term deformation of a broad area such as railway structures.
