대두의 세균성병에 관한 연구 (Studies on Bacterial Diseases of Soybean)

  • 1. 소규모접종시험을 위해서는 wire brush 접종 또는 다침접종법이 가장 효과적이었으며 포장에서의 대규모시험을 위해서는 전착제를 첨가한 세균현탁액의 살포가 좋았다. 2. 조사지역내에서의 발견된 병은 세균성 점무늬병과 세균성 불마름병 뿐이었고 담배 불마름병균에 의한 피해는 발견할 수 없었다. 3. 병원균은 이병조직속에서 겨울철인 경우 실내에서 6개월까지 생존할 수 있었고 냉장고 속에서는 10개월이상 존재했으며 토양속에서는 불마름병균이 4일, 점무늬병균이 30일간 생존하였다. 4. 종자표면에 부착된 세균은 전염원으로서 중요하지 않았으나 실험실내의 배양기 상에서는 종자의 발아를 억제했다.

지문 분말의 자착성(auto-adhesion)에 관한 연구 (The Auto-adhesion of Fingerprint Powders)

  • 비다공성 표면에 유류된 지문을 현출하기 위해서는 다양한 기법을 사용할 수 있는데, 분말법은 실무에서 주로 사용되고 있는 기법 중 하나이다. 하지만 분말의 종류가 다양해짐에 따라 각각의 분말마다 권장되는 붓질(stroke) 횟수가 정해져 있지 않아 숙련된 과학수사요원이 잠재지문의 현출정도를 파악하면서 붓질을 해야 하며 현출한 결과물 또한 개개인마다 다르다. 지문 분말은 원료배합과 제조방법에 따라 분말 입자간 서로 붙는 성질이 다양하게 나타나는데 이러한 성질을 자착성(auto-adhesion)이라고 한다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 종류의 지문 분말의 자착 정도를 알아보기 위하여 슬라이드 글라스에 지문을 유류한 후 분말을 각각 1회, 3회, 5회, 10회 적용하여 현출된 지문을 광학현미경으로 배율을 달리하여 관찰하는 실험을 진행하였다. 일부 분말은 붓질 횟수가 증가함에 따라 지문 융선이 더 진하게 현출되는 결과를 보였고 반대로 일부 분말은 약한 자착성으로 인해 붓질의 횟수가 증가함에 따라 지문이 흐려지는 결과를 나타냈다. 각 분말들이 갖는 자착성의 다양함은 분말마다 브러쉬의 사용방법이 달라져야 한다는 사실을 시사하고 있다.

Self-Sampling Versus Physicians' Sampling for Cervical Cancer Screening - Agreement of Cytological Diagnoses

  • Background: A major problem with cervical cancer screening in countries which have no organized national screening program for cervical cancer is sub-optimal participation. Implementation of self-sampling method may increase the coverage. Objective: We determined the agreement of cytological diagnoses made on samples collected by women themselves (self-sampling) versus samples collected by physicians (Physician sampling). Materials and Methods: We invited women volunteers to undergo two procedures; cervical self-sampling using the Evalyn brush and physician sampling using a Cervex brush. The women were shown a video presentation on how to take their own cervical samples before the procedure. The samples taken by physicians were taken as per routine testing (Gold Standard). All samples were subjected to Thin Prep monolayer smears. The diagnoses made were according to the Bethesda classification. The results from these two sampling methods were analysed and compared. Results: A total of 367 women were recruited into the study, ranging from 22 to 65 years age. There was a significant good agreement of the cytological diagnoses made on the samples from the two sampling methods with the Kappa value of 0.568 (p=0.040). Using the cytological smears taken by physicians as the gold standard, the sensitivity of self-sampling was 71.9% (95% CI:70.9-72.8), the specificity was 86.6% (95% CI:85.7-87.5), the positive predictive value was 74.2% (95% CI:73.3-75.1) and the negative predictive value was 85.1% (95% CI: 84.2-86.0). Self-sampling smears (22.9%) allowed detection of micro-organisms better than physicians samples (18.5%). Conclusions: This study shows that samples taken by women themselves (self-sampling) and physicians have good diagnostic agreement. Self-sampling could be the method of choice in countries in which the coverage of women attending clinics for screening for cervical cancer is poor.

사용자 정의 팔레트에 기반한 점묘화 렌더링에 관한 연구 (A Study on Pointillistic Rendering Based on User Defined Palette)

  • 프랑스의 신인상파 화가 쇠라(Seurat)는 캔버스위의 독립 색채들은 망막위에서 재조직된다는 이론을 바탕으로 점묘화를 개발하였다. 점묘화는 캔버스에 작은 브러시 스트로크로 가득 채워서 그림을 그리는 방식이다. 이렇게 그려진 그림을 멀리 떨어져서 보면 각각의 브러시 스트로크는 보이지 않고, 혼합된 색상으로 보이게 된다. 이것을 색상의 병치혼합이라고 불린다. 본 논문에서는 점묘화 표현을 위한 회화적 렌더링기법을 제안한다. 우리는 점묘화에 나타나는 무수히 작은 점들을 자연스럽게 표현하기 위해서 왕타일링(Wang Tiling)기법을 활용한 계층적인 점 구조를 제안한다. 또한 신인상파의 팔레트 사용방법을 기반으로 사용자가 정의한 안료로 표현가능 한 팔레트를 설계한다. 마지막으로, 우리는 설계된 팔레트를 기반으로 계층적인 점구조로 샘플링 된 입력영상을 점묘 화가들이 했던 방식을 사용하여 병치혼합 시킴으로써 최종결과영상을 얻게 된다.

정밀 파종용 롤러식 배종장치의 설계 (Design of Roller-Type Metering Device for Precision Planting)

  • Scattering of seeds is one of the problems in the hill- dropping planters with a roller-type metering device. For crops like rice, corns and beans, the hill-dropping is own better for a high yield than the drill planting. The roller type metering device has been used for the drill planters and has many advantages. However, it has a problem of scattering of seeds when they are placed on rows. In this study a method was developed to design the roller type metering device fir the precision hill-droppings. Design parameters were derived to configure completely the geometries of the roller and brush. The method was applied to the design of the metering device of the rice seeding machines. The field test showed that the metering device designed by the method made a better performance of seed placement than that made by the precvious one. The method also can be applied to the design of metering devices for the precise hill-droppings of other crops.

  • This paper introduces the improved analysis method for PMDC (Permanent Magnet DC) motors. The effect of field yoke is considered by equivalent area. Overhang effect, caused by different axial length of magnet and armature, is analyzed by 3D EMCN(Equivalent Magnet Circuit Network) method. Then brush contact resistance and mechanical loss extracted by experimental data are used in characteristic analysis. The validity of the proposed method is verified by the comparison of analysis results and experimental ones.

  • The purpose of this paper is characteristic analysis of permanent magnet generator (PMG) for automatic voltage regulator (AVR)power of brush less synchronous generator. However, this PMG has a spoke type permanent magnet rotor with large overhang for high power density, characteristic analysis considering concentration effect of air-gap flux density due to the overhang should be performed. 30 transient finite element method (FEM)analysis is good solution for overhang parameter, but this method needs too much calculation time. In this paper, we examined the overhang effects based on overhang length and material of rotor core by using 20 and 30 static FEM analysis, and proposed 20 dynamic FEA model considering overhang parameter which gives good and rapid results. The proposed method is verified by the test results of no load, load and short circuit test.

통계적 처리방법을 이용한 동해안 염해 오손물의 분포특성 (The Distribution Characteristics of Salt Contaminants with Statistical Method in East Coast)

  • In this paper, the distribution characteristics of salt contaminants with the distance from sea in East coast, from Sokcho to Pusan of Korea peninsula were investigated to evaluate the design standard of KEPCO. To get the equivalent salt deposit density(ESDD), conventional brush wiping method was used. As the measuring period is comparatively short, and the measuring interval is long to check the maximum value, acquired ESDD data is very lower than the recommended value in the standard. The measured data didn't follow normal distribution, so it should take the statistical treatment. Through normalizing method, we could get a reliable probability data. In the past investigation, the accumulation characteristics of Japan is consulted to set the criterion, but the climatic condition of Korea is different to Japan. With the comparison of precipitation data and some measured data for long tern accumulation, we could set appropriate accumulation factor.

  • This paper presents the result of a study on the distribution characteristics of salt contaminants in the west coast region, from Inchon to Yearsoo, of South Korea. To evaluate the distribution characteristics of salt contaminants, we had measured the equivalent salt deposit density(ESDD) with brush wiping method for thirteen month(from May 1999 to June 2000). Under the consideration on the measuring interval and method, normalization method was applied for the ESDD data. Besides the measurement, the chemical analysis (chromatography) was carried to investigate the relationship, between the electrical property and the amount of specific ingredient, such as sodium, magnesium and chloride. From the result, we could get the representative value of contamination for each site and distribution characteristics of salt contaminants with the distance from sea in the west coast.

  • The magnetic polishing is the useful method to finish using magnetic power of magnet. This method is one of precision polishing techniques and has an aim of the clean. technology using for the pure of gas and inside of the sanitary pipe for transportation. The magnetic abrasive polishing method is not so common for machine that it is not spreaded widely. There are rarely researcher in this field because of non-effectiveness of magnetic abrasive. In this paper. We could have investigated into the changes of the movement of magnetic abrasive grain. In reference to this result, we could have made the experiment which is set under the condition of the magnetic flux density, polishing velocity according to the form of magnetic brush.
