일제 강점기의 신문불매운동 연구 : 1920년대 중반을 중심으로 (Audience's Boycott Movement to the Korean Newspapers in the mid-1920s)

  • 이 논문은 1924년부터 1927년까지 독자들이 특정 신문을 대상으로 집단적인 불매운동을 벌였던 다섯 사례를 분석했다. 1924년 $\ll$동아일보$\gg$의 사설 '민족적 경륜'을 둘러싸고 벌였던 불매운동과 1923년 혁청단의 $\ll$동아일보$\gg$ 불매운동과 진남포 객주조합의 $\ll$조선일보$\gg$ 불매운동, 1926년과 1927년 마산 지역의 유지들이 벌였던 $\ll$남선일보$\gg$ 불매운동, 그리고 1927년 부강 청년회가 벌였던 $\ll$조선일보$\gg$ 불매운동이 본 논문에서 분석되었다. 1920년대 중반 신문 불매운동의 특징으로는 이전 시기에 비해서 훨씬 활발해졌으며 대상 신문도 다양화되었다. 1920년대 초반의 신문불매운동은 주로 $\ll$동아일보$\gg$가 대상이 되었지만 1920년대 중반으로 오면서 $\ll$조선일보$\gg$에 대한 불매운동도 나타났으며 지방지에 대한 불매운동도 벌어졌다. 지역적으로도 널리 확산되었다. 1920년대 초반에는 서울의 운동 단체들에 의해서 이루어졌지만 1920년대 중반에는 서울뿐만 아니라 마산과 진남포, 부강, 김천, 부산 등 지방으로까지도 확산되었던 것이다. 신문불매운동이 이루어졌던 배경도 이념투쟁 보다는 집단적 이해관계의 의해서 이루어진 것들이 많았다. 본 논문에서 분석한 사례 중 1924년의 $\ll$동아일보$\gg$ 불매운동을 제외하고는 거의 모두 자신들 집단에 대한 보도 태도가 직접적인 이유가 되었다. 이러한 분석을 통해 우리는 1920년대 중반으로 접어들면서 1920년대 초반에 비해 수용자 집단의 저변도 확대되고 이에 따라 수용자들의 적극적 인식도 심화되었다고 결론지을 수 있을 것이다.

  • Purpose The business ecosystem perspective offers a new lens in which to view customers. Customers as the member of business ecosystems influence firms by participating in both the firm level activities and the business ecosystem level activities. For example, customers participate in the business ecosystems by forming interest groups, allowing their voice to be heard the within business ecosystems. Customers can also, turn public opinion around and foster the business ecosystems favorable to firms. On the other hand, as an extreme case of customer participation, customers can engage in community activities to boycott the purchase of products or services from certain firms or business ecosystems. Design/methodology/approach This study views content creation and feedback activities as customer participation in the firm level. On the other hand, word-of-mouth (WOM) and boycott activities are considered as customer participation in the business ecosystem level. This study presents a research model regarding the relationships among customer socialization, customer participation, and psychological ownership. The proposed model is validated through an empirical analysis on online platform business ecosystems. Findings When the two business ecosystems are compared, different results were drawn. In the Facebook ecosystem, boycott and psychological ownership did not have a significant relationship. However, in the Kakao ecosystem, the two had a significant positive relationship. The mediating effect of the business ecosystem type sheds a light on the mission, purpose, vision, and other values associated with the theory of the business on the customer-firm relationship. Further implications for theory and practice were discussed in this study.

Experimental study to evaluate design procedure and proposed improvement measures for clarifier with inclined plates

  • The Standards for Water Works issued by the Korean government prescribed the insertion of inclined plates in a clarifier to enhance the settling of the suspended solids. In this study, in order to verify the role of the inclined plates, two identical laboratory-scale rectangular clarifiers were constructed and eight inclined plates were inserted into one of the clarifiers and inflow from same source was treated in both the clarifiers. Dye tests revealed that only the front three of the seven slots received the inflow at $0.57m^3/m^2{\cdot}h$, which was the highest SOR (surface overflow rate). Three different SORs, with 12 different SS (suspended solid) concentrations at each overflow rate, were fed to both clarifiers. However, the clarifier with the inclined plates failed to show an improved removal rate for the SS. In order to enable the Boycott effect within the slot, it is suggested that each slot created by the inclined plates receives equalized inflow. Moreover, collision of the inflow with the settled sludge at the bottom of the clarifier has to be avoided. These provisions, which can maximize the Boycott effect, should be added to the Standards for Water Works endorsed by Korean government.

패션 소비자의 가치, 지식 및 지속가능한 소비행동에 관한 연구 (The Value, Knowledge, and Sustainable Consumption Behavior of Fashion Consumers)

  • This study examines the value, knowledge and sustainable consumption behavior of fashion consumers. The study shows that universalism/harmony, security/benevolence, power, and tradition/faith have positive effects on buying/usage behavior; however, hedonism/wealth has a negative effect. Stimulation/self-direction and universalism/harmony positively influence boycott behavior; however, power has a negative influence. Universalism/harmony and politeness have positive impacts on care/disposing behavior. Consumer knowledge about fashion related environmental problems, labor practices, ethical issues and sustainable environment knowledge influence sustainable buying/usage behavior; in addition, knowledge about ethical issues and sustainable environmental problems positively influence boycott and care/disposing behavior. Moreover, there were significant differences in values, knowledge, and consumption behavior by age.

  • 본 논문에서는 불매운동에 따른 스마트폰의 수출영향에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 2019년에 일본의 한국에 대한 수출규제로 일어난 한국의 불매운동에 대응하여 역으로 일본에서 한국제품 불매운동이 일어난 바 있다. 이 사례를 활용하여, 한국의 일본 수출에 얼마나 타격을 입었는지 살펴보기로 한다. 연구 과정 전반에 걸쳐 수출물품 중 스마트폰의 수출량과 시장 점유율의 변화추이를 살펴보면서 불매운동과 스마트폰의 수출의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 이를 통해 불매운동이 수출입에 미치는 영향과 극복방안을 모색해 볼 수 있는 기회가 됐으면 한다.

소비자불매운동에 대한 소비자와 기업 근로자 간의 인식 차이 및 불매운동 참여 영향요인 분석 (The Difference in Consumers' and Company Employees' Perceptions of Consumer Boycotts and Analysis of the Factors Affecting Boycott Participation)

  • This study investigated how consumers and company employees differ in their perceptions of boycotts based on the co-orientation model. Regarding the reasons of boycotts, consumers take both consumer damage cases and unethical conduct equally seriously, while company employees take consumer damage cases more seriously than unethical conduct. Consumer perceptions of the necessity for boycotts was higher than company employees, while employees were more aware of the negative impact of boycotts than consumers. Based on the co-orientation model, we examined how consumers and employees estimate differences in their perceptions of boycotts. The results showed that consumers and company employees are not accurately aware of each other's perceptions. Lastly, logistic regressions were conducted to identify the factors affecting three types of participation: online opinion expression, personal non-purchasing, and persuading other people to join the boycotts. The results showed that male consumers are more likely to participate in online opinion expression; consumer perceptions of effectiveness of boycotts and the perceived severity of consumer damage increase the likelihood of participation in online opinion expression. Consumer perceptions of the necessity of boycotts and their opinion leadership increased the likelihood of non-purchasing. Finally, consumers with higher opinion leadership and female consumers were more likely to encourage others to take part in boycotts. In addition, consumers are more likely to persuade others to join the boycotts if they have stronger beliefs that companies will not seriously consider consumer problems.

윤리적 소비의 개념 및 실태에 대한 고찰 (Study on the Concept and Practice of Ethical Consumption)

  • Nowadays, ethical consumers are increasing and they consider social values such as worker's human rights, environment and animal's welfare as key criteria in purchasing products. This study focused on the academic and practical research of ethical consumption, in which the needs and interests are now growing globally. This study addressed the concept, trend and practices of ethical consumption as well as seeking methods to support and promote ethical consumption. It examined the concept and types of ethical consumption from the perspective of the philosophy on ethical consumption. Ethical consumption was defined as a behavior that intended to improve the environment and the welfare of people and animals by purchasing products produced according to sound ethical principles and avoiding products that are made through the exploitation or the damage of people, animals and the environment. It also dealt with the practices of ethical consumption such as the fair trade movement, Clean Clothes Campaign, boycott, local food movement, animal's welfare movement. In conclusion, I suggested that consumers, companies, governments, and NGOs should make an effort to promote ethical consumption.

자동차시장의 위기 유형과 커뮤니케이션 전략이 소비자 태도와 부정적 행동 의도에 미치는 영향: 중국인 유학생을 중심으로 (Influences of Crisis Types and Crisis Communication Strategy on Consumers' Attitudes and Negative Behavioral Intentions in the Auto Market: in the Case of Chinese International Students)

  • 세계 자동차산업은 제품 결함, 비윤리적 기업경영과 같은 다양한 위기를 겪어왔다. 본 연구는 세계 시장에서 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 중국 소비자를 대상으로 자동차기업의 위기 커뮤니케이션 전략의 효과성을 검증하기 위해 위기책임성, 위기유형과 위기커뮤니케이션 전략이 기업태도, 부정적 커뮤니케이션 의도, 불매운동 참여의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 서울에 거주하는 중국인 학생 1,600명을 대상으로 2(위기책임성: 고·저) × 2(위기유형: 기업 능력/사회적 책임감) × 2(위기커뮤니케이션 전략: 수용/방어) 설계 실험을 실시하였다. 높은 위기책임성과 사회적 책임감 위기유형은 비호의적 기업태도, 높은 부정적 커뮤니케이션 의도와 불매운동 참여의도로 연결되었다. 위기책임성과 위기커뮤니케이션 전략은 유의한 상호작용을 보였다. 위기책임성이 높을 경우에는 수용 전략이 방어 전략보다 더 효과적으로 나타났으나 위기책임성이 낮은 경우에는 전략 간의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 기업의 사회적 책임감 위기 경우에는 위기책임성에 상관없이 전략간 차이가 나타나지 않았고, 기업 능력 위기경우에는 위기책임성이 높을 때 수용 전략의 효과가 효과적으로 나타났다.

패션 소비자의 도덕적 정체성과 공감성향이 윤리적 소비태도 및 기부행동에 미치는 영향 (The effects of fashion consumers' moral identity and empathy propensity on ethical consumption attitude and donation behavior)

  • This study analyzed the effects of fashion consumers' moral identity and empathy propensity on ethical consumption attitude and donation behavior, and the effect of ethical consumption attitude on donation behavior. The survey was conducted on consumers over the 20s who experienced the donation of fashion products, 384 responses were used for data analysis. The result showed that the internality and symbolism of moral identity had a positive effect on ethical consumption attitudes. The all factors of empathy propensity positively affected eco-friendly oriented consumption, and cognitive empathy and social empathy positively affected boycott oriented consumption. The cognitive empathy, social empathy and relational empathy positively affected community oriented consumption and practice oriented consumption. Furthermore, social empathy and relational empathy positively affected recycling oriented consumption. The eco-friendly, boycott, community, and recycling oriented consumption positively affected temporal donation. The all factors of ethical consumption attitude positively affected emotional donation, and eco-friendly, community, recycling, and practice oriented consumption positively affected material donations. The internality and symbolism of moral identity positively affected temporal and emotional donation, and the symbolism except internality positively affected material donation. The cognitive empathy, social empathy and relational empathy positively affected the temporal donation and material donation. In addition, the all factors of empathy propensity positively affected emotional donation. The results of this study will contribute to the ethical product strategy, marketing, and sustainable development of the fashion industry.
