A Mathematical Approach for Modal Frequency Analysis in Actuators (운동방정식 유도에 의한 액추에이터 모드 주파수 분석)

  • In this paper, the vibration for actuators having lens module, confined to lateral and torsional directions of suspensions, is described by mathematically analyzing its suspension configuration and motion. In order to prove the accuracy of this result, it is compared to a finite element analysis. Also it is shown that modal frequencies can be modified by changing design parameters in mathematical motion expressions.

  • This study has been aimed at figuring out the fact that four kinds of body type grouped according to the tilting of scapular of upper extremity and ilium of low extremity showed the mobility increase for joint parts and the limitation. When we make a thrapy plan which should be comprehensive and general in preventative management and therapy. For the sake of patients who have spinal disabilities including low back pains, it is required for many joints distributing among upper and lower extremity to have hypermobility and hypomobility based on regulation. So, this study was conducted to establish a standard for the effective pattern of hypermobility or hypomobility. I hope that the result of this study can help support the practics of physical therapy as a part of scientic method. Especially I think it will be able to be conductive to those who major in physical therapy on the arthrogenic region.

  • This paper investigates human discomfort response to the foot-to-head acceleration. During ambulance transport, a patient suffers from the foot-to-head acceleration, which might deteriorate his illness. To investigate the relationship between the ride discomfort and the foot-to-head acceleration, experiments were performed using a van type automobile similar to an ambulance. The experimental results show that head-ward acceleration is more uncomfortable than the foot-ward acceleration. For further investigation of the difference of ride discomfort caused by the direction of acceleration, two experiments were peformed using a tilt bed. In these experiments, foot-to-head acceleration is applied to the subjects by tilting the bed.   • Extruded aluminium panels have been widely used for railway vehicle structures because of their light specific weight and other merit. In the past, GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) were mainly used to join aluminium panels. But recently friction stir welding (FSW) is widely used. due to its lots of advantage. In this study aluminium A6005-T6 which are used for car body structures was chosen. The influence of main parameters such as : pin rotating speed, welding speed, shoulder diameter, pin length and tilting angle on mechanical properties was examined. Optical microscope observation, micro hardness test and tensile test were carried out. Tensile strength of the stir welded plates is 74% of that of the base material.

  • The sophisticated technologies, ensuring both stability and curving performance, are required for the medium high speed train running on conventional railway line where tangent and curved section mixed together. We can hardly meet the both requirements conflicting each other with the conventional type of bogie. Effective solution is to apply stabilizing mechanism for the bogie design, which increase hunting stability or dynamically critical speed while maintaining curving performance. In this research the numerical analysis by means of multi-body dynamic simulation S/W, experiments by using roller test rig and main line running test have been comprehensively performed for the 200km/h Korean Tilting Train with newly developed stabilizer. The paper proposes the effectiveness of stabilizer and its usefulness based on the results of analyses.

  • Recently, the railway has been growing as the eco-friendly transport which is excellent for reducing carbon dioxide. However, the level of using tools to quantitatively and objectively evaluate the environmental performance is still low in the rail industry. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce Environmental Product Declaration(EPD) which describes the environmental performance by using Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) for evaluating the environmental impacts through entire life cycle of a product. The EPD enables stakeholders including policy makers, operation body, vehicle manufacturers and drivers and consumers to be informed about the superior environmental performance of rail vehicles.

  • In this paper, the crush characteristics of a tilting train express (TTX) M-car design are evaluated with a head-on collision scenario. Its body shell is divided into three parts - front end, middle section, and rear end. For each part, crush-force relation is evaluated numerically through 3-dimensional shell element analysis with LS-DYNA. TTX's embody structure is a hybrid type structure made of steel and composite materials. Composite sandwich panels are modeled as layered shells whose layers have different material properties. And a damage material model is used to consider the effect of stiffness degradation during deformation. The crush characteristics obtained from these calculations will be used as material modeling data of full-rake collision analyses.

  • The purpose of this study is to design a flexural structure that has a function of pan and tilt for an artificial eyeball. The artificial eyeball system has a function of image stabilization, which compensate panning and tilting vibration of the body on which the artificial eyeball is attached. The target closed loop control bandwidth is 50Hz, so the mechanical resonance frequency is required to be more than the control bandwidth, which is a tough design problem because of a big mass of camera and actuator. In this study, the design process including the selection of the principal parameters by numerical analysis with ANSYS will be described, as well as the design results and frequency response.

  • Fatigue fracture behavior of a hybrid joint part with bolting was evaluated in comparison to the case of static fracture. Hybrid joint part specimens for bending test were made with layers of CFRP and aluminum honeycomb. Characteristic fracture behaviors of those specimens were obviously different under static and cyclic loads. Static bending load showed the shear deformation at the honeycomb core, whereas cyclic bending load caused the delamination between CFRP skin layers and honeycomb core. Experimental results obtained by static and fatigue tests were considered in modifications of design parameters of the hybrid joint.

  • The vestibular system located in the inner ear controls reflex body posture and movement. It has the semicircular canals sensing an angular acceleration and the otolith organs sensing a linear acceleration. With this organic signal, medical doctor decide if a person has disease or not. To obtain this data, a precision stimular system is considered. Robust control is needed to obtain eye signals induced by off-vertical axis rotation because of an unbalanced load produced by tilting the axis of the system upto 30 degrees. In this study, off-vertical axis rotatory system with visual stimulation system are developed. This system is consisted of head mounted display for generating horizontal, vertical, and three dimensional stimulus patterns. Furthermore wireless recording system using RF modem is considered for noiseless data transmission.
