In this paper, we analyze and simulate performance of space time block coded (STBC) binary pulse amplitude modulation-direct sequence (BPAM-DS) ultra-wideband (UWB) systems with double binary turbo code in indoor environments for various ubiquitous healthcare (u-healthcare) applications. Indoor wireless channel is modeled as a modified Saleh and Valenzuela (SV) model proposed as a UWB indoor channel model by the IEEE 802.15.SG3a in July 2003. In the STBC encoding process, an Alamouti algorithm for real-valued signals is employed because UWB signals have the type of real signal constellation. It is assumed that the transmitter has knowledge about channel state information. From simulation results, it is shown that the STBC scheme does not have an influence on improving bit error probability performance of the BPAM-DS UWB systems. It is also confirmed that the results of this paper can be applicable for u-healthcare applications.

A block Jacket transform and. its block inverse Jacket transformn have recently been reported in the paper 'Fast block inverse Jacket transform'. But the multiplication of the block Jacket transform and the corresponding block inverse Jacket transform is not equal to the identity transform, which does not conform to the mathematical rule. In this paper, new binary block Jacket transforms and the corresponding binary block inverse Jacket transforms of orders $N=2^k,\;3^k\;and\;5^k$ for integer values k are proposed and the mathematical proofs are also presented. With the aid of the Kronecker product of the lower order Jacket matrix and the identity matrix, the fast algorithms for realizing these transforms are obtained. Due to the simple inverse, fast algorithm and prime based $P^k$ order of proposed binary block inverse Jacket transform, it can be applied in communications such as space time block code design, signal processing, LDPC coding and information theory. Application of circular permutation matrix(CPM) binary low density quasi block Jacket matrix is also introduced in this paper which is useful in coding theory.

고속 전송에 적합한 MC-CDMA시스템은 출력이 Multi-Level로 출력됨으로 인하여 출력신호의 복잡성과 출력단의 선형적인 증폭기 사용으로 인한 고가, 고복잡성 등의 단점을 가진다. 이러한 단점을 보완하고자 제안된 기술이 Binary CDMA 기술이다. Binary CDMA 시스템에서 가장 중요한 파라미터는 고속 데이터 연산 시 병목현상이 발생되는 코릴레이터이다. 기존의 코릴레이터는 전력소모가 작다는 장점이 있지만 코릴레이션의 값을 얻기 위해 여러 단의 가산을 거쳐야 하므로 연산량이 많아 처리 속도가 낮아지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 Binary CDMA 시스템에서 고속의 데이터를 처리함과 동시에 데이터 량이 증가하더라도 칩 면적이 독립적이며 전력소모가 일정한 구조를 가지는 Binary CDMA 시스템 PBS 코릴레이터를 제안하였다.

웨이블릿 영역은 일반적으로 신호 성분을 많이 포함하는 큰 계수와 신호 성분이 작은 크기의 계수로 나누어 질 수 있다. 이러한 웨이블릿 계수의 통계적 특성을 가우스 혼합 모델로 설정하고, 잡음 제거에 응용하는 것은 효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 웨이블릿 계수의 혼합 모델링을 이용하여 영상의 잡음 제거 방법을 제안한다. 적절한 문턱값을 이용하여 웨이블릿 계수를 두영역으로 분리하여 이진 마스크를 생성하고, 생성된 마스크의 정보는 잡음 제거에 효율적으로 사용된다 또한 생성된 마스크의 정보를 형태학적 필터를 이용하여 보다 정확히 추정하고 이를 이용하여 제안한 잡음 제거 방법의 성능을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 모의실험 결과를 통하여 제안 방법이 최신 잡음 제거 방법보다 우수한 PSNR을 나타낸다는 것을 보여 준다.

본 논문에서는 위성항법 시스템에서 (global navigation satellite system: GNSS) 사용되는 이진 옵셋 반송파(binary offset carrier: BOC) 신호 상관함수의 주변 첨두 때문에 발생하는 신호 획득 문제에 대해 소개한다. 우선 BOC 신호의 상관함수를 분석하여 상관함수의 주변 첨두가 불규칙한 형태를 갖는 부 상관함수들의 결합을 통해 형성된다는 점을 관찰하며, 관찰 결과를 바탕으로 cyclostationarity를 지니는 부 상관함수들의 재조합에 기반을 둔 신호 획득 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 모든 BOC 신호에 적용되어 주변 첨두를 완벽히 제거할 수 있으며, 모의실험을 통해 제안한 기법이 기존의 기법들에 비해 더 나은 평균 신호 획득 시간 (mean acquisition time: MAT) 성능을 제공함을 보인다.

본 논문에서는 이진 영상의 2차원 히스토그램을 이용하여 추출한 형태 정보와 HSI 컬러 좌표를 이용한 색상 정보를 결합한 영상 검색 기법을 제안한다. 또한, 제안된 방식은 부분영상의 유사도 비교를 통한 영상의 위치 정보를 추출한다 이 검색 기법을 형태 정보와 색상 정보에 활용함으로써 이진 영상으로 비교가 힘든 영역 정보의 검색도 가능하게 한다 그 결과 기존의 색상기반 영상 검색 기법에 비해 제안된 기법은 Frecision/Recall로 표현된 정량적 결과에서 훨씬 우수한 성능을 보임을 실험으로 확인할 수 있다. 특히, 제안된 검색 기법은 영상의 회전이나 객체의 이동 등이 발생한 영상에 대해서도 우수한 검색 효율을 보인다.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of a cooperative communication wireless network over independent and identically distributed (IID) Nakagami-m fading channels. A simple transmission scheme is considered where the relay is operating in amplify-forward (AF) mode. A closed-form expression for symbol error rate (SER) is obtained using the moment generating function (MGF) of the total signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the transmitted signal with binary phase shift keying (BPSK).

This paper designs a software signal generator for the new GPS L2 civil signal. The CM/CL code and the message structure of L2CS described in GPS ICD PPIRN-200C-007 are used in designing the signal generator. The output of the GPS signal generator is designed as the sampled IF data with the sampling frequency 5.7MHz and stored in the binary data format. By analyzing both the spectrum characteristics of the output signal and the correlation properties of the CM/CL code, the validation of the designed GPS signal generator is shown. It should be mentioned that the modeling of the GPS satellite constellation and the error sources remains for implementing the software space segment of GPS.

We suggest binary image decryption system using two-wavc mixing in Photorefractive crystal. Compared with a conventional method, this method can make optical alignment easily, and brighten the encrypted image even if a small input signal, by index grating of photorefractive crystal. Also it can reconstruct the encrypted image by only reference beam in real time.

본 논문은 신호처리가 가능한 2진 로가리즘 상수를 발생시키기 위한 programmable variable-rate up/down 계수기의 설계를 기술한다. 2진수에 대한 밑수가 2인 로가리즘 계승의 적용은 결 과적으로 오차가 발생한다. log\sub 2\(1+χ)-χ에 의해 정의된 것처럼 log\sub 2\(1+χ)에서의 오차는 직선의 집합으로 갖게된다. 계수기 rate는 직선의 기울기에 비례한다. 그러므로 신호처리가 가능한 2진 로가리즘 상수는 programmable 계수기를 사용함으로써 쉽게 발생될 수 있다.
