효율적인 Center-Biased Hybrid 탐색 알고리즘 (An Efficient Center-Biased Hybrid Search Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 움직임 추정을 위한 Efficient Center- Biased Hybrid Search (ECBHS) 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 Center-Biased Hybrid Search (CBHS) 알고리즘에 기초하고 있다. 제안된 알고리즘은 +, X, 다이아몬드 탐색형태를 결합하여 탐색 윈도우의 중앙으로부터 3pel 이내에 분포하는 움직임 벡터를 찾는 과정에서 탐색점을 효과적으로 감소시킨다. ECBHS는 UCHDS 및 CBHS와 거치 동일한 움직임 추정 정확도를 유지하면서 움직임 추정을 위한 연산량을 효과적으로 감소시킨다. 제안된 알고리즘의 효율성을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

비-가우시안 잡음하의 적응 시스템을 위한 바이어스된 영-오차확률의 반복적 추정법 (Recursive Estimation of Biased Zero-Error Probability for Adaptive Systems under Non-Gaussian Noise)

  • 바이어스된 영-오차확률 (biased zero-error probability)과 이에 관련된 알고리듬은 매 반복시간마다 합산과정을 지니고 있어 많은 계산상의 부담을 요구한다. 이 논문에서는 바이어스된 영-오차확률에 반복적 접근법을 적용한 알고리듬을 제안하였고 천해역 통신채널과 충격성 잡음 및 바이어스된 가우시안 잡음이 혼재한 실험 환경에서 성능을 비교하였다. 샘플 사이즈에 비례하는 계산 복잡도를 지닌 기존 알고리듬과 달리 제안한 반복적 방식은 샘플 사이즈와 무관하여 계산량의 부담을 크게 줄였다. 이러한 계산효율 특성을 지닌 제안한 알고리듬은 블록 처리방식의 기존 알고리듬과 비교하여 다중경로 페이딩, 바이어스된 잡음 및 충격성 잡음에 대한 강인성에서 동일한 성능을 나타냈다.

  • A misclassified size-biased modified power series distribution (MSBMPSD) where some of the observations corresponding to x = c + 1 are misclassified as x = c with probability $\alpha$, is defined. We obtain its recurrence relations among the raw moments, the central moments and the factorial moments. Discussion of the effect of the misclassification on the variance is considered. To illustrate the situation under consideration some of its particular cases like the size-biased generalized negative binomial (SBGNB), the size-biased generalized Poisson (SBGP) and sizebiased Borel distributions are included. Finally, an example is presented for the size-biased generalized Poisson distribution to illustrate the results.

공기압(空氣壓)타이어의 평면진동특성(平面振動特性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Study on the In-Plane Vibration Characteristics of the Pneumatic Tires)

  • The vibrational characteristics of a radial-ply (155SR13 4PR) and a biased-ply tire (6.15-134PR) were investigated for examining the effects of tires with different structure on the ride characteristics of the vehicle. The natural frequencies at the tread band, mode shapes, and damping factors of two tires at the state of plane vibration were determined experimentally. The test work was performed at four levels of the inflation pressure, ranging from 171.7 kPa to 245.2 kPa, and three levels of the vertical load, deviating by 10% from the standard load designated by the Department of Transportation of the United States of America. The following results were drawn by the analysis of the test results: 1. The first-order natural frequencies of the radial-ply and the biased-ply tires at the tread band were 112 Hz and 159 Hz, respectively, at the state o f the free vibration when the inflation pressure of 196.2 kPa was applied. It was known that the biased-ply tire has higher resonant frequency than the radial-ply tire and the natural frequencies of the both tires move to the high frequency range as t he inflation pressure is increased. 2. The vibration modes of both tires were quite different. No big difference in mode shapes was examined as the inflation pressure was increased. But the natural frequencies of two tires were changed. For the radial-ply tire, no difference in mode shape was found whether the vertical load was applied or not. But a significant difference in mode shape was examined for the biased-ply tire. 3. Any difference was not found in damping factor as the different inflation pressures were applied. 4. When no vertical load was applied, damping factors of the radial-ply and biased-ply tire at the state of the natural vibration ranged from 2.6 to 5.9%, and from 4.1 to 7.8%, respectively. It was estimated that the radial-ply tire would have better cushioning than the biased-ply tire since the vertical spring rate of the radial-ply tire was much less than that of the biased-ply tire, even though the damping effect of the radial-ply tire was smaller than that of the biased-ply tire.

New Definition of the Fibrogram and Its Application to Cotton Blending

  • The fibrogram theory is newly derived from the superposition principle of the conventional staple diagram, in which the left-hand ends of the fibers have to share a common starting point in order for the fiber length distribution to be measured, and the right-hand ends of the fibers form points. It is shown that the fibrogram is the staple diagram of the fiber sample having different random starting points, as well as the double cumulative distribution function of the frequency length function in the length biased sample. Also, the various means, viz. the numerical mean length, numerical mean length in median, length biased mean length, and length biased mean length in median, and the various upper half means, viz. the numerical upper half mean length, numerical upper half mean length in median, length biased upper half mean length, and length biased upper half mean length in median, are discussed in relation to the cotton blending process.

  • Up to now, DC-biased magnetic properties have been measured in one dimension (scalar). However, scalar magnetic properties are insufficient to clarify DC-biased magnetic properties because scalar magnetic properties can only impossibly consider the phase difference between the magnetic flux density B vector and the magnetic field strength H vector. Thus the magnetic field strength H and magnetic flux density B in magnetic materials must be directly measured as a vector quantity (two-dimensional). This paper presents measurement system to clarify the two-dimensional DC-biased magnetic properties.

편재된 비대칭형 전류고정날개 추진시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a Biased Asymmetric Pre-swirl Stator Propulsion System)

  • This paper deals with a theoretical and experimental method for the design of a biased asymmetric pre-swirl stator propulsion system which is an energy saving device by recovering a propeller rotational energy. In the case of slow-speed ships, the upward flow is generated along the afterbody hull form at the propeller plane. The generated upward flow cancels the rotating flow of the propeller at the starboard part while it increases at port part. The present biased asymmetric pre-swirl stator propulsion system consists of three blades at the port and one blade at the starboard which can recover the biased rotating flow effectively. This paper provides the design concept which gives more simple and a high degree of efficiency and the experimental results for the compound propulsion system.

  • Ferrite cores are often magnetized under DC-biased field because they have been intensively used in electronic circuits such as an inverter circuit and a switching regulator circuit. Thus we investigated the effects of DC-biased field on magnetic properties in the frequency range of DC-100kHz for two kinds of ferrite cores, TDK PC38 and TDK $H_{3}S$, which have different shapes of B-H loop from each other. The magnetic loss per cycle, W/f, in the $H_{3}S$ core decreased with increasing the strength of DC-biased field, although W/f in the PC38 core increased monotonically with DC-biased field. The observed decreasing tendency differs from the previous result for Si-Fe and ferrite cores, and can be attributed to decrease in eddy current loss as well as that in hysteresis loss.

  • G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are a family of cell-surface proteins that play critical roles in regulating a variety of pathophysiological processes and thus are targeted by almost a third of currently available therapeutics. It was originally thought that GPCRs convert extracellular stimuli into intracellular signals through activating G proteins, whereas ${\beta}$-arrestins have important roles in internalization and desensitization of the receptor. Over the past decade, several novel functional aspects of ${\beta}$-arrestins in regulating GPCR signaling have been discovered. These previously unanticipated roles of ${\beta}$-arrestins to act as signal transducers and mediators of G protein-independent signaling have led to the concept of biased agonism. Biased GPCR ligands are able to engage with their target receptors in a manner that preferentially activates only G protein- or ${\beta}$-arrestin-mediated downstream signaling. This offers the potential for next generation drugs with high selectivity to therapeutically relevant GPCR signaling pathways. In this review, we provide a summary of the recent studies highlighting G protein- or ${\beta}$-arrestin-biased GPCR signaling and the effects of biased ligands on disease pathogenesis and regulation.

랜덤 심볼열의 바이어스된 분포를 이용한 정보 포텐셜과 블라인드 알고리즘 (Information Potential and Blind Algorithms Using a Biased Distribution of Random-Order Symbols)

  • 출력 샘플과 수신단에서 랜덤한 순서로 발생된 심볼의 정보 포텐셜을 기반으로 한 블라인드 알고리즘은, 바이어스된 충격성 잡음이 채널에 더해질 때, 정보 포텐셜을 바탕으로 한 비용함수에 바이어스된 신호를 처리할 변수가 포함되어 있지 않아 성능저하를 겪게 된다. 이러한 바이어스된 충격성 잡음에 대한 강건성을 목표로, 이 논문에서는 수정된 정보 포텐셜을 제안하고, 이 제안된 정보 포텐셜에 기반하여 증강된 필터 구조와 랜덤 심볼을 사용한 새로운 블라인드 알고리즘을 도출하였다. 다중 경로 채널의 블라인드 등화에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과로부터, 제안된 정보 포텐셜에 기반한 블라인드 알고리즘이 바이어스된 강한 충격성 잡음 환경에서 탁월한 수렴 성능을 나타냈다.
