MPLS에서 ATM의 스위칭 기능은 인터넷 백본망에 대해 효율적인 전송을 제공할 것이다. 특히, VC merging은 다수의 IP 경로와 한 VC 레이블간의 대응을 가능케 함으로써 망의 확장 시에도 유연하게 대처 할 수 있다. 이미 VC merge 관련 메커니즘들이 제안되어 있으나 단지 best-effort 트래픽에 대해서만 가능하며 다중 클래스 트래픽에 대해 각 QoS를 충족시키는 구체적인 방안은 제시되어 있지 않다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 각 클래스의 VC merge시, 동적 대역폭 할당을 적용해 merge된 트래픽의 QoS를 만족시키는 메커니즘 및 ATM-LSR의 구조를 제안한다. 아울러, 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 동적 VC 대역폭 할당 방안에 대한 성능 평가를 수행하였다.

Network reconfiguration is an operation task, and consists in the determination of the switching operations such to reach the minimum loss conditions of the distribution network. In this paper, an effective heuristic based switch scheme for loss minimization is given for the optimization of distribution loss reduction and a solution approach is presented. The solution algorithm for loss minimization has been developed based on the two stage solution methodology. The first stage of this solution algorithm sets up a decision tree which represent the various switching operations available, the second stage applies a proposed technique called cyclic best first search. Therefore, the solution algorithm of proposed method can determine on-off switch statuses for loss reduction, with a minimum computational effort.

현재 국방전산망은 인터넷과 마찬가지로 Best Effort 서비스만을 지원하고 있으나 급속도로 발전하는 외부의 미래 네트워크 환경에 대비하여 지속적으로 진화가 추진되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 미래 국방전산망의 요구사항인 서비스의 차별화에 관점을 두고 신속하고 신뢰성 있는 중요 의사결정 자료 전송을 위해 국방전산망에 ATM기반 MPLS 기술을 적용하여 군 기능별 차등서비스 제공방안 및 서비스 우선순위에 따른 트래픽 재 할당에 대하여 제안 하고자 한다.

The Internet is a packet switched network which offers best-effort service, but current IP network provide enhanced services such Quality of Services, Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, Distribute Firewall and IP Security Gateways. All such services need packet classification for determining the flow. The problem is performing scalable packet classification at wire speeds even as rule databases increase in size. Therefore, this research offer packet classification algorithm that increase classifier performance when working with enlarge rules database by rearrange rule structure into Bitmap Intersection Lookup (BIL) tables. It will use packet's header field for looking up BIL tables and take the result with intersection operation by logical AND. This approach will use simple algorithm and rule structure, it make classifier have high search speed and fast updates.

Three hundred years ago, the fractional differential equation that is one of concept of fractional calculus released. Now, many researchers continue to try best effort applying into the control engineering, mathematics and physics. In this paper, the dynamics equation which is represented by Van der Pol, represent integer order and fractional order that having real order. Then this paper performs the comparisons between integer and real order as time series and phase portrait according to variation of parameter value for real order.

Textile education in advanced textile countries focused to provide the best possible opportunities for the graduates. The purpose of this study is to analyze tendency of education in advanced textile countries as German, UK and Italy and apply it to the education of our country. Recently there are increasing needs for Internet and various kinds of contents. These traffics for various contents need more amount of data to provide high-quality information and require various QoS depending on the characteristics of contents. However, current Internet service supports BE (Best Effort) service only, therefore IntServ (Integrated Service) scheme and DiffServ (Differentiated Service) scheme are represented to support QoS in IP layer. This paper describes new scheme that provides QoS taking into account the traffic characteristics over Mobile IPv6 network based on IEEE 802.11e by decreasing signal process time using traffic class of DiffServ and MAC and evaluates the performance through computer simulation.

This paper proposes an extension scheme of the well-known Berkeley Socket Interface for supporting QoS-provided multipeer multimedia communications. The current BSD Socket Interface has been TCP/IP-centric historically and the protocol suite was developed for the peer-to-peer best effort data communications. In order to support multiparty multimedia applications, such key functions as group management, QoS control, and reliable multicast transport should be exploited in the current simple unicast communication architecture and the well-known interface should be extended to cover the functions. This paper proposes a few new API functions and some changes in the current APIs.

To provide high-quality media streaming service over the best-effort Internet, an efficient streaming system with a network-adaptive transport is essential. By adopting FEC-based adaptive transport and by matching it to the priority of media packets, in this paper, an enhanced MPEG-4 streaming system is implemented. The implemented adaptive transport can complement the existing MPEG-4 streaming server with components such as elementary stream provider, sync layer and DMIF layer. Sync layer packets of each MPEG-4 elementary stream are prioritized and then selectively dropped at the sender to match the currently available bandwidth. Also, with the proposed adaptive transport module, the level of FEC protection is dynamically adjusted based on the underlying network condition. With preliminary verification over the emulated network testbed, it is shown that the proposed implementation can mitigate the impact of network fluctuation and thus improve the quality of streaming.

With the expansion of e-commerce, E-marketplace has become one of the most discussed topics in recent years. Limited theoretical works, however, have been done to optimize the practical use of e-marketplace systems. Other potential issues aside, this research has focused on this problem: 'the participants waste too much time, effort and cost to find out their best partner in B2B marketplace.' To solve this problem, this paper proposes a system which provides the user-company with the automated and customized brokering service. The system proposed in this paper assesses the weight on the priorities of a user-company, runs the two-stage clustering algorithm with self-organizing map and K-means clustering technique. Subsequently, the system shows the clustering result and user guide-line. This system enables B2B marketplace to have more efficiency on transaction with smaller pool of partners to be searched.
