A study of domestic furniture arrangements may reveal the living style relevant to the room as conceived and coded by occupants and the effects of the physical environment on the structure of behavior settings. The purpose of this study was to investigate, through analizing the furniture usage and behavior as a non-reactive and activity oriented behavioral measures, the occupants` domestic habits as a living style using MDS. MDS(multidimensional scaling technique) is a statistical technique for creating a spatial representation of data. It Is a particularly appropriate technique for analizing qualitative data such as the furniture usage and behavior because it takes into account all of the relationships between items. For the MDS analysis, the furniture usage and behavior examined by housing types based on 114 households in Seoul. The result of spatial configuration by MDS has three dimensions : recogn;lion of room function, pattern of room organization, understanding of room meaning. The effect of housing types for dimensions is identical but configuration of furniture items is different.

As the life style of modern people is gradually being more scientific, up-to-date, and specialized, food habit and food cut lure are a measure of cultural level of a country. Studies on consumer behavioral model show that food habit is closely related to consumer preference, changing life pattern and increasing family income. The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to define the impact of menu characteristics on customer menu selection. For that purpose, some at tempts were made: First, discuss the theories on family restaurant and customer purchasing behavior as a standard of analysis. Second, find out if there are any differences in customer menu- selection factors in family restaurant Third, make an empirical analysis of menu-selection factors in family restaurant to suggest in which direction it should move forward Fourth, analyze the relationship of demographic characteristics to menu-select ion factors.

The purpose of this study is to examine temporal structures of English words beginning with an /s/ plus stop sequence through production experiments with native speakers of Korean learning English and native speakers of English. According to the results of our production experiment, both a beginner and an advanced group of Korean English learners produced /s/ shorter than a following stop, while the opposite pattern was observed in English native speakers' production. An advanced group of Korean English learners were good at producing a stop after /s/ as unaspirated, but their production of a stop following /s/ was different from English native speakers' production in that the closure duration of the stop was much longer.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurobehavioral developmental disorder characterized by a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity, as well as forgetfulness, poor impulse control or impulsivity, and distractibility. The recommended evaluation includes documenting the type and severity of ADHD symptoms, verifying the presence of normal vision and hearing, screening for comorbid psychological conditions, reviewing the child's developmental history and school performance, and applying objective measures of cognitive function. Prevailing opinion characterizes ADHD as a disorder of executive function attributable to abnormal dopamine transmission in the frontal lobes and frontostriatal circuitry. A clearly defined etiology remains unknown, but studies suggest a strong genetic link. The aim of treatment is to decrease symptoms, enhance functionality, and improve well-being for the child and his or her close contacts. Stimulants remain the pharmacological agents of first choice for the management of ADHD, and psychosocial, behavioral and educational strategies that enhance specific behaviors may improve educational and social functioning in children with ADHD.

A computer simulation model is proposed for selecting effective agrees paths and estimating the evacuation time in case of evacuating all the residents of a building to the safe area. The physical structure of a building is formulated into a network. The followings are considered in the model : the congestion effect to the velocity, the behavioral pattern of the evacuees, and the probabilistic nature of the evacuation process. Coded in SLAM II/PC, the simulation model can generate the output such as evacuation time(max, average), utilization of exits, utilization of passages, floor clearance times, and bottleneck information. The "rigorous" validation of the proposed model is not completed yet but remains to be a future research topic.rch topic.

Twelve black seabreams (Acanthopagrus schlegeli) were tagged with acoustic transmitters and their movement and behavior patterns were tracked using acoustic telemetry from 12 December 2006 to 15 August 2007. Seven of the 12 fish stayed within 500 m of the release point for over a month. In the spring tide, the number of detected signals and swimming depth of tagged fish changed at 12-hour intervals with the ebb tide. The number of detected signals of tagged fish decreased dramatically with the passage of time and had decreased by over 80% in May 2007, compared with January 2007.

"Saikdong" is a material that represents the Korean aesthetic behavioral pattern of colors. It shows the unique harmony of the color combination with the use of simple combined colors. The objective of this paper is two-folded. First, it is to explore the direction of Korean Design. Secondly, it is to find out aesthetic charateristics and consciousness in Saikdong. 17 traditional costumes made with the designs of Saikdong were selected from three museums in Seoul. The most properly matched color hues selected after comparing each color with the Pantone Textile Color Specifier. The results were shown as follows. 1. Korean design is to recreate the traditional objects considering the contemporary circumstances. 2. Contrast effects in lightness and saturation are very noticeable in Saikdong. Saikdong maintains the same widths of color stripes with the asymmetric balance of hues which give the rhythmical arrangement of colors. 3. Sikdong contains the shamanic wishes that everything is going well and the desire for the beauty. 4. The aesthetic consciousness of Saikdong has turned out to be happiness and harmonizing.rmonizing.

소비자의 행동이론은 경영학의 주된 관심사이다. 소비자의 소비 행동패턴 이론은 소비자의 합리적 소비에 근거한 선호도로써, 선택의 문제를 주요한 연구대상으로 삼고 있다. 하지만 본 모델링은 소비자의 선택을 선호의 문제로 취급하는 기호에 의존하기 보다는, 상권의 측정가능한 크기에 의존하는 수동적 의미의 소비패턴을 산정하게 된다. 단순한 몇 가지 가정을 기반으로 하여 상권이 미치는 영향력을 상권의 거리와 상권의 크기로만 한정할 경우, 최적 경로에 따른 합리적인 소비함수 모델링을 만들 수있다. 상권의 거리 및 상권의 크기로 상권의 범위를 제한 할 경우, 물리학 분야인 전기자기학 중에서 쿨롱의 법칙으로부터 유도된 전기장의 개념을 도입하여 상권의 의미를 재해석할 수 있다. 향후 본 모델링에 대한 소비자 행동패턴의 실질적인 검증 및 추가 도입변수 및 에러항을 도입한 일반적인 모델링으로 발전시킬 수 있고, 그 또한 추가 연구주제가 될 수 있다.
