  • This study is a review on the relationship between furniture purchasers and producers in the Joseon period. Understanding the relationships in our traditional spirit and the Joseon furniture that reflects a aesthetic sense is a meaningful work. Joseon was to build an ideal country which put emphasis on the order and harmony through Theory of 'Yeak' as the confucianism nation. Human aesthetics, which emphasis on the spiritual value by confirmity to nature and forcus on the relaxed, deficient personality rather than completeness was established as the central formative consciousness of the Joseon Dynasty. The nature of things in the confucian scholar prior to the representations of things is expressed in the form of master craftsman's skill and soul. Formative consciousness of the confucian scholar is to realize ideals by communciation and interchange with master craftsman's soul in the form of the Joseon furniture. The beauty of restraint and brevity in the Joseon Dynasty furniture includes meanings and procedures of art work. It implies an orderer's purpose of production and a producer's products. Understanding the spirit of times in the production becomes the cornerstone capable of getting closer to the furniture ultimate proper function. These problems have a very close relationship with the problems of modern people's commnuication. We expect an even higher growth of the furniture by achieving more improved communication based on the consumer's great insight and the producer's passion.

  • This study investigated the formation of communication education which is based on the contemporary language education. Concretely I watched chronologically the proportion of culture element and behavior element, its change, and the contents of writing education. To achieve this, I took the ancient Greek language education as the main materials. The sophists are right if we think only the empirical world, because of the changeability of external world and the relativity of sense. On the other hand, Platon emphasized the ability of abstract thought which is inherent in the human inside. But today's education only emphasizes the 'expression' which came from the Platonic thought. So students fills their devastated inside with arbitrary idea in this history-forgotten social circumstance. It is very beneficial to make subject have some cultural studies and to enhance the sensation on the world through the writing of representation because these can be good to the growth of subject. It is our-not as educator but as a predecessor of human being-duty to set the catalogue of cultural studies of this age and to make students feel the fundamental harmony and the beauty of the world.

  • Some reverse fault lines pass through the alluvial fans and west hill slope of Bulguksa mountains including Mt. Toham in the directions of N-S and NW-SE. The study area is known as relatively unstable, because of active faults. Assuming the record of earthquake in the Samguksagi, the architects in the construction of the Bulguksa temple should have recognized the possibility of breakdown from the earthquakes and the need for an unique structure against at that time. Against earthquakes, Greavee technique, a stonework construction technique following woothe one and use of Chushouok (Dongtleouok or Chumchaouok) were applied for the construction of Bulguksa temple. By designing the foundation stone with hole, a structure is prevented from motiff Ction that pillarsakdcede from a foundation stone in spite of horizontal load of earthquake while woot construction isaktrong frame at earthquake. The Bulguksa-temple isausually evaluated to be a beautiful architecture from the appeaultces like the weight balltced structure with unique decoration. ampressive architectures are beautiful in balance and harmony coming from the important and specific rolls in its own way by each part of whole structure. • Recently the word "digital" is widely used in almost every field and is dominating this generation. Digital has become the most significant characteristic representing the 21st century, and is leading change across wide range of our life-styles in our culture and thoughts. New art is in harmony with digital in the 21st century. Digital photography is simpler, faster and newer than the analog system of the past. From ancient times, the nature has been the subject of art, and many designers have studied the ways to create beauty from nature. In this study, I chose the lotus as the subject material of textile design development. The lotus invokes a sense of stillness, and nestles many fluid elements, including the curved fluid lotus, rhythmic lotus petal, sinuous lotus leaf, radial vein, lotus pip and oval seed. Therefore, I tried to use these elements of lotus for development of textile design. For this purpose, I photographed the lotus with a digital camera as equipment of design development. Then, on computer, I have developed six textile designs through the process of modification and editing by using the adobe illustrator program.

Analyzing the characteristics of the Poulaines provided basic data for different shoes. The study method utilized previous studies to explore the concept and characteristics of Poulaines. In the empirical analysis, shoe design data mainly came from collections that illustrate formative elements of contemporary shoe design from the 2010 S/S season to the 2020 S/S season. A total of 709 photo materials were collected and analyzed. The results showed that the morphological characteristics of Poulaines were exaggerated to symbolize classes of the past and sexual expression. The expanding structure was divided into the fore nose, heel, and top-line and featured a design that expressed the formative beauty of Poulaines. Additionally, the decorative desire to represent wealth and class using various materials introduced new designs into contemporary shoe designs while showing extreme decorativeness through over-trimming and color contrast. Furthermore, the heterogeneous characteristics that come from the change and harmony of the shoes' body and heel that deviated from the existing shoe shapes were classified into the dissolution of shapes and mixing and matching. Thus, they broke the monotonous silhouette of shoes and gave variety delicately.
