Pearlescent pigments have been widely used in cosmetic applications. Up to date; the most widely used pearl effect pigment is the mica-based pigment, which uses natural mica as the substrate that is in turn coated with metal of oxide interference layer. However, when natural mica is employed as a base material the final product often has a yellowish color, mainly due to the fact that natural mica contains low levels of iron as an impurity[1,2]. This study was focused on developing a pearl pigment which might have a similar sparkling effect as snow. This effect was found to be due to its structure and purity, and this concept was also applied to development of our pearl pigments. More specifically, this invented pearl effect pigments are the mixture of glass-flake and glass-flake coated metal oxides and present the optical properties of snow matrix such as refractive index and particle size, unlike only the glass-flake or glass-flake coated metal oxides to be applied in. Using base material having similar physical properties (refractive index and particle size) as snow matrix as platelet for pearl effect pigments, these invented pigments present a three-dimensional glittering effect of the snow matrix. With this invented figments an applied; we achieved the beauty of snow crystal from makeup products containing these pigments.
This study verified the moderating effect of the influence of the reference group on the effect of socio-cultural attitude toward appearance and appearance complex on semi-permanent makeup satisfaction. To this end, a survey was conducted on 210 people who had undergone semi-permanent makeup and the results were obtained. The results were analyzed through the SPSS program, and the results are as follows. The recognition of the social importance of appearance among social-cultural attitudes toward appearance had a significant effect on satisfaction with the procedure. The self-conscious appearance complex had a significant effect on the satisfaction with the procedure. It was found that the influence of the reference group had a moderating effect on the effect of internalization, which is a social-cultural attitude toward appearance, on the satisfaction with the procedure. showed Both the appearance complex caused by others, the appearance complex, and the self-conscious appearance complex showed a moderating effect of the reference group effect in the effect on the satisfaction of semi-permanent procedures. Lastly, it was found that the higher the satisfaction with the semi-permanent procedure, the higher the number of additional treatment in the future.
The purpose of this study were to identity face satisfaction and make-up behavior according to their lifestyles of middle aged women. The subjects were 350 women of 40 - 59 years old. The results of this study were as follow: 1. Lifestyle factors of middle aged women were self confidence, leisure activities, interests in appearance, economical efficiency, conservatism, and value-orientation. They were classified into four types of dignified & appearance interested group, passive stagnated group, unconfident & economic group, and value-oriented & leisure group according to their lifestyles. 2. They were satisfied with their eyes, lips, and eyebrows, but not satisfied with face tone, face shape, and skin texture. Total face satisfaction level was over average. The face satisfaction level of dignified & appearance interested group and value-oriented & leisure group were higher than other groups, but that of passive stagnated group was the lowest. 3. They pursued internal beauty and natural makeup, and did not follow trendy colors. Dignified & appearance interested group pursued characteristic, elegant, changeable, and various make-up colors, but value-oriented & leisure group pursued more various, changeable, and trendy colors. They did not prefer trendy products because of high price. Dignified & appearance interested group and unconfident & economic group were highly price-oriented, but value-oriented & leisure group purchased trendy products. 4. Dignified & appearance interested group included working women with not much income, but passive stagnated group included low-educated and non-working women. Unconfident & economic group included low-educated non-working women with not much income, but value-oriented & leisure group included highly-educated working women with high income.
In the modern 21st century society, the personal image is considered to be very important. As a result, the importance of presenting one's personal image through personal color in fashion and beauty related fields are increasing, and is the most realistic and practical field of color. When the color of the wardrobe and the skin color are in disharmony, that disharmony becomes the source of the lines and wrinkles that appear on one's face, resulting in shades. The boundary that is created when the color of the wardrobe and the skin color are in disharmony, it works negatively on one's image. When color arrangements are close or similar (in harmony) or are in complementary color arrangements or in strong contrasting state (contrasting harmony), it is generally believed to be beautifully harmonious. Personal color assessment is finding colors, through systematic and scientific methods, that improve the personal image by reaching harmony with skin colors that each and every individual are uniquely born with. In this study, one was able to learn the improved visual effects of the face image through creating harmony with the wardrobe and color shade make up and complementary colors that were selected based on personal colors. The base make up, through using the contrasting effects of the complementary colors which represents the supplementing, correcting, and complementing of the face image by contrasting with complementary colors, brings positive changes through correcting the base skin color. It is believed that this study finds its importance in that the improved image that is created by the overall harmony of the wardrobe and body can be used as valuable data in marketing and new product development efforts in the related industries.
With the occurrence of interest in image-presentation that helps express one's individuality in several place in our society, it has affected make-up field. Now, make-up is getting to be recognized as a key role player that reflects our social and cultural concerns not only by presenting a appropriate one that is proper when to use and what for, but also presenting individualistic images that are able to express one's attractiveness free from a last plain concept that meant merely applying cosmetics to one's face is makeup. Like above, the reason that a change for consciousness of the function of make-up was possible is a noticeable outcome that results from the difference before and after make-up. In other word, with the help of Corrective Make-up that makes use of optical illusion, the analytic research for features could have been carried out systematically, therefore, women get to present their beauty of innate facial shape and features at their pleasure. The basic principles of the Corrective Make-up, which was introduced to satisfy the purpose of the existing make-up take advantage of lines and colors that are part of the optical illusion. The nature of direction and movement was expressed by the direction and angle of lines and the colors are also able to induce the variation of images depend on the whole color around them or contrastive color around. This thesis is mainly about optical illusion through lines that are part of elements that induce the optical illusion and deals with phenomena that occur when we apply lines that are part of design into the make-up. And this is written for the purpose of establishing the last basis of make-up more scientifically and systematically through the research for the variation when we apply the nature of lines into our features and deriving facial image variation from it. This is also for study into the role of make-up as for psychological effect that is able to make facial images look different when the optical illusion with possible visual errors is applied into it. In conclusion, we can say "Make-up is optical illusion through visual elements such as lines, surfaces, books, touch and so on."
Formatively and artistically aspect, a hybrid can be said to be a phenomenon in which two mutually different genres are combined. Make-up is thought to be very important to arrange the foundation available for predicting and pursuing a flow and direction of future hybrid make-up based on this, by analyzing a flow centering on hybrid trend, which was shown previously. In terms of objectives of this study, the first, aim is to suggest a model for researching make-up by grasping the developmental process and the characteristics of hybrid art through considering an art theory of hybridity, shown in make-up. The second, aim is to design make-up by analyzing trends in make-up style after deconstructing the hybrid genre. The modern make-up design through genre-deconstruction characteristics beyond diverse plurality and genre could be known to be highlighted as aesthetic characteristic by a slight attempt as communication of open space, which connects culture and genre, which had failed to be recognized and was neglected. Empirical research has, produced a work by systematically arranging make-up design. This study, identifies two kind of barrier demolition, such as the class deconstruction and the temporal, spatial disorder centering on genre deconstruction of hybrid. There are infinite possibilities in developing make-up design in line with modern sensation through aesthetic element and symbolic significance through genre deconstruction. It was the expression mode in future make-up, to providing basic data, and to strengthening competitive edge of culture and art.

The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of the professor's image making (internal, external, social image) perceived by college students on instructional outcomes. The influence of the professor's image making on class satisfaction and class commitment was analyzed, and the mediating effect of class satisfaction and the relationship between class satisfaction and class commitment in the relationship between image making and class commitment was considered. First, it was found that the external image and social image of the professor had a significant effect on class satisfaction. The level of interpersonal relations, such as communication, manners, manners, and intimacy as well as the management of external expressions, clothing style, makeup, hair, gestures, postures, attitudes, voices, speech, and speech speed brings satisfaction to the class. Second, it was found that the professor's inner image, outer image, and social image had a significant effect on class commitment. In order to satisfy the students' immersion in class, professors are required to manage internal, external, and social images. Third, it was found that class satisfaction had a significant effect on class commitment. If the class satisfaction is high, it means that class immersion also increases. Fourth, as for the social image of a professor, it was found that class satisfaction had a completely mediating effect in the relationship between class commitment, and the external image of a professor was found to have a partial mediating effect in class satisfaction in the relationship between class commitment. It was found that the social image of professors perceived by college students improve class satisfaction, and this improves class satisfaction further enhances class immersion.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aromatherapy planned behavior on behavioral intention using the theory of planned behavior of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control as factors of the theory of planned behavior. The behavioral intention of aromatherapy planned behavior was analyzed to have a significant positive causal relationship between the independent variables of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control on the behavioral intention of aromatherapy. As a result of testing Hypothesis 1, "Aromatherapy planned behavior will have an effect on behavioral intention," previous research confirmed that the greater the attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norm during aromatherapy planned behavior, the higher the participation intention. The verification was consistent with similar results between this study and this study. These results suggest that aromatherapy planned behavior will contribute to increasing aromatherapy's market share, reducing stress, and improving health through behavioral intention.
In order to verify the effect of using functional cosmetic ingredients for skin beauty, the composition and content of some phenolic acid and flavonoids in the hot water and 80% methanol extract of Akebia quinata fruit pericarp and seeds were analyzed, and the skin care antioxidant activity was investigated. The results are as follows. Total polyphenol and flavonoid contents were found to be higher in pericarp extract than seed extract in both hot water and 80% methanol extract. In the analysis of the composition and content of phenolic acid and flavonoids, two kinds of phenolic acids were identified in the hot water extract of pericarp, 6 kinds of phenolic acids were identified in the 80% methanol extract, and one kind of flavonoid. Two types of phenolic acids were identified in the hot water and 80% methanol extract of seeds, respectively. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities tended to increase in proportion to the treatment concentration in both hot water and 80% methanol extracts, and antioxidant activity was found to be high. Therefore, from the above results, it was found that the hot water and 80% methanol extract of Akebia quinata fruit pericarp and seeds contained various kinds of phenolic acid and flavonoids, and the antioxidant activity was also high. It is believed to be of value as a natural antioxidant in skin care cosmetic ingredients.

This study is intended to present the direction of art mask design development and help people's life care by producing an art mask with the motif of the characteristic of abjection concept. It went through the definition and characteristics of abject and abjection focusing on previous research, professional books and art works. The characteristics of abjection based on theoretical research are to express death with dead bodies and skulls, including the dismantling of ideal beauty standards, the expression of fragmented bodies, and the expression of sick and alienated bodies. This researcher produced 6 research works by combining the fascinating abjection, induced by ugly and disgusting abject, to design factors. These works fragmented each part of the facial form by the cutting and dismantling, and made viewers feel the abjection by giving a grotesque deformation. The results obtained through the research works are as follows. First, It was found that the abjection characteristics-applied works was helpful in the treatment of the mental wound of modern people. Second, the production of works based on the abjection characteristics paved the way to expand the scope of art mask design concepts and establish the new design ideas. Third, the application of the motif using the abjection characteristics to the art mask design showed that the use of various objects could express creative designs and secure diversity in using materials. In the future, this researcher hopes that such research will be used as the basic data of the follow-up study on art mask design, and it will help develop art mask designs.
