  • It is difficult to put it into practice in that it requires bearing too much burden to draw out the planning itself in a case of large construction work. Consequently in this paper we select evaluation criteria by construction progress, classify into several categories, and regard potential danger which often occurs, as a evaluation criterion. Further step is to allow workers or collaborated companies to express their expert opinions or experiences and to encourage quality and process control and autonomous safety control by applying PSM(Process Safety Management) method using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and to development of PSIM(Process Safety Information Management) evaluation method in the construction. The reason why PSIM method should be quantitative and substantial progress is because it contributes Korean constructing companies to enhancing their safety control ability and to taking an equal stance just like developed countries, thereby strengthening their competitive edges.

  • This paper proposes a fault detection method utilizing converted images of acoustic emission signals and texture analysis for identifying bearing's multi-faults which frequently occur in an induction motor. The proposed method analyzes three texture features from the converted images of multi-faults: multi-faults image's entropy, homogeneity, and energy. These extracted features are then used as inputs of a fuzzy-ARTMAP to identify each multi-fault including outer-inner, inner-roller, and outer-roller. The experimental results using ten times trials indicate that the proposed method achieves 100% accuracy in the fault classification.

  • As a great earthquake hit east Japan recently, the interests for the necessity of earthquake resistant design and earthquake resistance ability of existent structures are much increased. The damage or collapse of a bridge, as a social overhead capital structure affects socially and economically. Thus the evaluation of earthquake resistance ability of these structures is very important. The reviewing methods for earthquake resistance ability are mostly deterministic. Although the deterministic methods are fit for the evaluation of safety of each member, they are not practical for the whole structure. For the evaluation of structural safety for earthquake, the method for the evaluation of fragility or damage is needed for some stages of damage. In this paper, fragility curves of steel box bridge using RFPB bearing for PGA, PGV, SA, SV, SI are constructed, and these are compared with the cases of FPB.

  • Since the vibration induced by a train is transferred directly to a station via a roadbed structure, the elevated station is particularly vulnerable to noise and vibration. To establish more appropriate measures to reduce vibration, the structural behavior and damping characteristics depending on the structural type and the composition of a elevated station should be identified, because the noise inside the station is mainly structure borne noise by the vibration of a station structure. In this paper, the vibration characteristic changes depending on mechanical connection types between an elevated station and a connected bridge are analyzed. The finite element model for Daecheon Station is constructed for the purpose of this study, and the analysis is performed using ABAQUS. The analyses are conducted for with and without bridge connections, and for the bridge connections, ramen and bearing types are considered in the analysis.

  • This paper describes the implementation of AUSV system for sonar image acquisition to survey the seabed. The system is controlled by Feed Forward PID algorithm on the vessel for bearing of the thrusters composed of motion sensor and DGPS which calculates the differences between the current location and the destination location for longitude and latitude based on GPS coordinates. As experimental results, the bearing control performance is good that the error distance from the destination positions are under 6m in total survey track of 1km. And the sonar image deviation of a object is under 12 pixels from the manned survey method, which the comparison with the total image quality is almost the same as the manned survey one. Thus the proposed AUSV system is a new method of system can be utilized at the limited survey areas as the surveyor should not be able to approach on sea surface by onboard vessel.

  • Electrical power distribution is consists of high voltage, low voltage and motor control center(MCC). Motor control centers involves turning the motor on and off, it is configured electronic over current relay to detect a motor overcurrent flows. Existing electronic over current relay detects electrical fault such as overcurrent, undercurrent, phase sequence, negative sequence current, current unbalance and earth fault. However, it is difficult to detect mechanical fault such as locked rotor, motor stator and rotor and bearing fault. In this paper, we propose a condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system for electrical and mechanical fault detection of rotating machinery. The proposed system is designed with signal input and control part, system interface part and data acquisition board for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis, it was possible to detect electrical fault and mechanical fault through measurement and control of insulation resistance, locked rotor, MC counter and bearing temperature.

  • In this paper, we propose a one-class vibration anomaly detection system for bearing defect diagnosis. In order to reduce the economic and time loss caused by bearing failure, an accurate defect diagnosis system is essential, and deep learning-based defect diagnosis systems are widely studied to solve the problem. However, it is difficult to obtain abnormal data in the actual data collection environment for deep learning learning, which causes data bias. Therefore, a one-class classification method using only normal data is used. As a general method, the characteristics of vibration data are extracted by learning the compression and restoration process through AutoEncoder. Anomaly detection is performed by learning a one-class classifier with the extracted features. However, this method cannot efficiently extract the characteristics of the vibration data because it does not consider the frequency characteristics of the vibration data. To solve this problem, we propose an AutoEncoder model that considers the frequency characteristics of vibration data. As for classification performance, accuracy 0.910, precision 1.0, recall 0.820, and f1-score 0.901 were obtained. The network design considering the vibration characteristics confirmed better performance than existing methods.

  • Existing Android malware detection approaches mostly have concentrated on superficial features such as requested or used permissions, which can't reflect the essential differences between benign apps and malware. In this paper, we propose a quantitative calculation model of application risks based on the key observation that the essential differences between benign apps and malware actually lie in the way how permissions are used, or rather the way how their corresponding permission methods are used. Specifically, we employ a fine-grained analysis on Android application risks. We firstly classify application risks into five specific categories and then introduce comprehensive risk, which is computed based on the former five, to describe the overall risk of an application. Given that users' risk preference and risk-bearing ability are naturally fuzzy, we design and implement a fuzzy logic system to calculate the comprehensive risk. On the basis of the quantitative calculation model, we propose a risk classification based approach for Android malware detection. The experiments show that our approach can achieve high accuracy with a low false positive rate using the RandomForest algorithm.

  • Information storage devices have been studied to increase the storage capacity and the data transfer rate as well as to decrease the access time and their physical sizes. Optical information storage devices have been achieved high-capacity by reducing optical spot size remarkably due to the development of Blue-ray technology. Optical information storage devices usually use 1.2mm-thick polycarbonate(PC) media to get high enough stiffness. However, it would be better if we can decrease the thickness of a disk for achieving thinner device while keeping the capacity as large as possible. Decreasing the thickness of the storage media makes it difficult to read and write data because it increases the transverse vibration of the rotating disk due to the interaction with surrounding air and the vibration characteristics of thin flexible disk itself, Therefore, a special design based on the fluid mechanics is required to suppress the transverse vibration of the disk in non-contact manner so that the optical pickup can read/write data successfully. In this study, a curved wall is proposed as a stabilizer to suppress the transverse vibration of a $95{\mu}m$-thick PC disk. The characteristics of disk vibration due to a curved wall have been studied through numerical and experimental analysis from the fluid mechanics point of view. The proposed shapes are possible candidates as stabilizers to suppress the transverse vibration of a flexible disk which rotates at high speed.
