드로우비드 성형시 박판재 마찰계수 영향인자 해석 (Analysis on Parameters Affecting the Friction Coefficient in Drawbead Forming of Sheet Metal)

  • In sheet metal forming, drawbeads are often used to control uneven material flow which may cause deffets such as wrinkles, fractures, surface distortion and springback. Appropriate setting and adjusting of the drawbead force is one of the most important parameters in sheet forming process control. Therefore in this study, drawbead friction test with circular shape bead was performed at various sheets, lubricants(dry, three kinds of lubricants having different viscosities), bead materials and surface treatments of bead surface. The results obtained by drawbead friction test show that the friction and drawing characteristics of deforming panels were mainly influenced by strength of sheet, viscosity of lubricant and hardness of bead surface.

  • An expert drawbead model is developed for the finite element analysis of stamping processes. The expert model calculates drawbead restraining forces and bead-exit thinnings with the forming condi-tions and drawbead size. The drawbead restraining forces and bead-exit thinnings of a circular draw-bead and stepped drawbead are computed by mathematical models and corrected by the multiple lin-ear regression method based on experimental measurements. The squared drawbead preventing the sheet from drawing-in inside die cavity is assumed to have a very huge drawbead restraining force and no pre-strain just after drawbead. The combined beads are considered as a combination of basic draw-beads such as circular a drawbead stepped drawbead and squared drawbead so that the drawbead restraining forces and bead-exit thinnigs are basically sum of those of basic drawbeads.

  • With the importance of comfortable environment, research about noise reduction of construction is consisting much. If construction receives the input force, noise will be generated thereby. We must predict vibration and noise characteristic to reduce structured borne noise, and construction which become a basis of such research is plate. In order to predict the radiating noise from the vibrating surface. It is required to know the velocity distribution of vibration surface exactly. It is good to use bead for reducing vibration and noise of plate. In this study, we have analyzed structure-borne noise of plate with bead and compare with plate that there is no bead about equal exciting force.

$CO_2$ 용접의 스패터 발생에 미치는 용적이행 모드의 영향 (Effect of Metal Transfer Mode on Spatter Generation of $CO_2$ Welding)

  • The spatter generation rate of GMA welding with $CO_2$ gas shielding was measured with the change of welding conditions such as wire feeding rate and welding voltage and then the results were analized with the accompanying changes in metal transfer mode and in bead geometry. The spatter generation rate (SGR) was relatively low not only wit the short circuit transfer but with the truely globular transfer mode. However, the SGR resulted with the mixed mode were consistantly high. The resultant wave pattern of mixed mode was due to the coexistance of short-circuit and globular transfer and characterized by the frequent appearance of instantaneous short circuit. Considering the result of SGR and that of bead geometry, it could be concluded that when the wire feeding rate (or welding current) was either low or high, the optimum bead shape could be obtained along with the low spatter generation. However, in the middle range of wire feeding rate, the optimum bead shape was only obtained in the mixed mode condition resulting in the high spatter generation.

Developed multiple linear regression model using genetic algorithm for predicting top-bead width in GMA welding process

  • This paper focuses on the developed empirical models for the prediction on top-bead width in GMA(Gas Metal Arc) welding process. Three empirical models have been developed: linear, curvilinear and an intelligent model. Regression analysis was employed fur optimization of the coefficients of linear and curvilinear model, while Genetic Algorithm(GA) was utilized to estimate the coefficients of intelligent model. Not only the fitting of these models were checked, but also the prediction on top-bead width was carried out. ANOVA analysis and contour plots were respectively employed to represent main and interaction effects between process parameters on top-bead width.

  • Immobilized nitrifier bead in airlift bioreactor were used to remove high levels of ammonia nitrogen from synthetic wastewater. Polyvinylalcohol(PVA) bead for immmobilization of nitrifier consortium were prepared by PVA-boric acid method by varying concentration of PVA and nitrifier consortium. By determining viscosity, sphercity and tailing, the characteristics of prepared beads were investigated and the continous immobilization process was developed. Synthetic wastewater containg 25g/$\textrm{m}^3$ of ammonia nitrogen could be treated within 0.5 hour and the highest removal rate of ammonia nitrogen was 934.2g/$\textrm{m}^3{\cdot}$ day.

  • This research proposed an advanced Electronic bead (EB) using MMA (Methy methacrylate) and CCA (Charge Control Agent). In the first, this paper presents about measurement method and characterization analysis of EB with wet coating method. Furthermore, this work presents the positive and negative EB fabrication procedure. As the experimental results, the proposed EB with charge to ratio[Q/M] is very attractive to Electronic paper driving characterization.

However, in this paper, the magnetic bead is used in order to detect the Alzheimer's disease. The 'magnetic bead used in this paper is able to make the amyloid-beta and the selective binding known as cause of the Alzheimer's disease.

  • Arc sensor gives important groove information during welding. Automatic seam tracking control system with arc sensor has significant characteristics such that bead formation is given as decentralization of penetration and formation of concave bead profile and that a turning point of transverse weaving with constant arc length control is decided whether or not torch height reaches to a specified setting level. Furthermore, the rotating action of the arc prevents hanging of weld bead and forms flat bead surface under high speed welding condition. The variation of groove and deposition area can be detected from the trace of weaving. The area and width of weaving trace has close correlation with the area of groove and deposition.   • Measurement of welding residual stresses is one of important tasks to assess the structural integrity of welded structures. For operating components, especially, nondestructive techniques are required. By now, authors have proposed a new residual stress evaluation method, the bead flush method, where residual stresses are calculated from eigenstrain distribution determined by surface removal of reinforcement. In this paper, a brief description of the bead flush method is given and its utility and problem to be overcome are discussed. And also stabilization method of solution set of eigenstrain in inverse analysis is proposed.
