This paper proposes a new concept about dual band predistortion linear power amplifier(PD LPA) using diplexer for digital cellular ($f_o$=880 MHz) and IMT-2000($f_o$=2,140 MHz) base stations. The diplexer is composed of low pass filter having defected ground structure(BGS) microstrip line and high pass filter having high-Q lumped capacitors and distributed elements. The proposed predistorter adopts a reflection type intermodulation signal generator with 3 dB hybrid coupler for good reflection characteristic. for a forward link one carrier CDMA IS-95A 1FA and WCDMA 1FA signal, the proposed dual band PD LPA shows the adjacent channel leakage ratio(ACLR) improvement about 10 dB and 9.36 dB for digital cellular and IMT-2000 band, respectively.

This study is a study on the characteristics and analysis of the reflected signals about the target in the VHF band. In advance, the RCS(Radar Cross Section) characteristics of the target were analyzed by using the CST electromagnetic analysis tool, and the target was detected by using the Bi-Static method, and the change in the signal-to-noise ratio was tested. The test results show similar results with no significant fluctuations in the signal-to-noise ratio characteristics for the detection of signals reflected on the target, such as the results for RCS analysis according to the pre-incidence angle. In the future, this study will be used for RCS analysis of the targets and target detection of Radar in VHF/UHF band with relatively large wavelength compared to the X band.

In this paper, a novel CPW(Coplanar Waveguide)-fed UWB(Ultra Wide Band) antenna is designed, implemented, and measured for UWB communications. CPW-fed planar antenna has advantages of wide-bandwidth, low-cost and easy interaction with radio frequency front end circuitry. We have used HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator) of Ansoft which is based on the FEM(Finite Element Method) to simulate the proposed antenna. FR-4 substrate of thickness 1.6 mm and relative permitivity 4.4 is used for implementation. The proposed antenna showed VSWR(Voltage Standarding Wave Ratio)${\leq}2$ for the frequency band from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz which is used for ultra wide band communication. Measured peak gains are 2.61, 4.95, 2.89, 7.35 dBi at 3, 6, 8, 11 GHz, respectively.
Eighty-five different cultivars of Brassica rapa, B. juncea, B. nap us, B. carinata, B. oleracea and hexaploid Brassica collected from Bangladesh, Japan, China and Denmark were analyzed by SDS-PAGE for seed and leaf protein variations, using esterase, acid phosphatase and peroxidase isozyme analysis. Ten polymorphic bands were identified from seed protein however no identifiable polymorphic band was found in the leaf protein. Polymorphic markers clearly distinguished the different Brassica species as well as yellow sarson (YS) and brown seeded (BS) cultivars of B. rapa. The $F_1$ cross between YS and brown seeded cultivars showed the existance of all poly-morphic bands of the respective parents. The Bangla-deshi and Japanese cultivars of B. rapa differed in the amount of seed protein. In the case of isozyme analysis, esterase showed the highest number of polymorphic bands (13) followed by acid phosphatase (9) and peroxidase (5). These polymorphic markers were very effec-tive for classification of all the species studied in this experiment. In parentage tests using isozymes, the hybridity of intra-and-interspecific crosses of almost all the seedlings could be identified from their respective cross combinations. Esterase polymorphism showed a clear differentiation between YS and BS types of B. rapa. In addition, two esterase polymorphic markers were iden ified to differentiate some cultivars of B. juncea. Segregation patterns in these two esterase bands showed a simple Mendelian monohybrid ratio of 3:1 in $F_2$, 1:1 in test cross and 1:0 in back cross progenies. No polymorphic band was identified to distinguish different cultivars of the same species by acid phosphatase or peroxidase. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was carried out with seed coat color specific marker of B. juncea. The yellow seeded cultivars produced a strong band at 0.5 kb and weak band 1.2 kb. In the addition of these two specific bands, Japanese yellow-seeded cultivars expressed two more weak bands at 1.0 kb and 1.1 kb. Where the brown seeded cultivars generated a single strong band at 1.1 kb. In segregating population, the yellow seed coat color marker segregated at a ratio 15 (brown) : 1 (yellow), indicating the digenic inheritance pattern of the trait.

Our study is aimed at proposal of systematic verification method of molecular structure using measuring method of selective ionic determination and spectrometry on 34 kinds of surfactants such as sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) which are most widely used today. In the IR spectrum, unsaturated fatty acids reveal themselves by HC= at $3000{\sim}3020cm^{-1}$, and intensity of $720cm^{-1}$ depends on carbon length of alkyl group. Also ethylene oxide(EO) adducts exhibit weak characteristic bands by $-CH_{2}-CH_{2}-O$ at 1350, 1100 and $950cm^{-1}$. Isethionate can be distinguished from diester succinate by intensity ratio of 1740 and $1200cm^{-1}$ spectrums, the ratio of latter is close to 1 due to 2 carboxylate radical in diester succinate. Quaternary ammonium salts exhibit characteristic band of $C_{4}N^{+}$ at $1000-900㎝^{-1}$. In the case of dialkyl dimethyl ammonium salts in quaternary ammonium surfactants, the spectrum of $3000cm^{-1}$ by $N-CH_{3}$ collapses to a very weak band at $3020cm^{-1}$. In ammonium heterocyclic derivatives, pyridinium salts show characteristic bands at 1640 and $1460cm^{-1}$, while imidazolinium salts exhibit characteristic band at $1620-1610cm^{-1}$. In the characteristic spectrum at $1080-1050cm^{-1}$ on OH radicals of the alkyl esters, primary alcohol appears as weak band and the 2 bands show in almost same intensity when primary and secondary alcohols exist together in one molecule. Also, alkyl ester of polyhydric alcohols appears as various broad band.
Problem solving and/or decision making process usually encountered in human living consists of a sequence of human behaviors based upon his/her knowledge. Thus, Rasmussen introduced Skill-Rule-Knowledge paradigm to countermeasure human errors that can occur in Nuclear Power Plants. Unfortunately however, it was not so easy as expected since objective evidence have not been obtainable with conventional research techniques. With the help of EEG band pawer ratio techniques, this study tried to get psycho-physiological symptoms of human errors, if any, while human beings perform knowledge-based behaviors such as simple arithmetic computations with different difficulty level. A set of simulated works was carried out with a computer station. Four kinds of arithmetic computation tasks were given to 10 health male under-graduate students on different day individually, and during the experiment, EEG and ECG was measured continuously for objective psycho-physiological analysis. According to the results, ${\alpha}$/(${\alpha}+{\beta}$) as well as ${\alpha}/{\beta}$ band power ratio were sensitive to task difficulty level which consistently decreased both. However, any one of them failed to reveal the influence of tasks with different difficulty level in the aspect of task duration time. On the contrary, Heart Rate Variability was more suggestive than expected. To make a conclusion, it can be said that band power of EEG waves will be helpful in not only assessment of work difficulty level but also assessment of workers' skill development if supported by cardiac function such as HRV.

The error rate equation of FH/MFSK signal of repeated diversity received over m-distribution fading channel with partial-band interference has been derived and the error rate has been evaluated to show in figures as a function of signal to noise ratio, signal to interference ratio, fading figure, repeated number, partial-band interference fraction and power correlation coefficient between signal and interference. In this paper, we assumed that repeated diversity technique is used in transmitter against fading occurred in mobile radio channel. By comparing the error rate performance in diversity against fading and the obtainable degree of improvement of error performance with diversity technique has been found out. From the result, it is known that error rate performance deteriorates more as $\rho$ becomes small i.e., the partial-band interference gives more effect on error performance than full-band interference. Also when the values of $E_b/N_1$ and $\rho$ are small. as depth of fading diversity technique.
In this paper, we have studied narrow-band analog pre-distortion linearization technique using UHF 400 MHz band 20 W power amplifier. The analog pre-distorter used the SC1894 radio frequency power amplifier linearizer(RFPAL) provided by MAXIM Corp and through the look-up table technique confirmed the intermodulation distortion(IMD) performance and the adjusted channel leakage ratio(ACLR) improvement for bandwidth below 1 MHz which does not operate on existing chips. In the 400 MHz (400 ~ 500 MHz) band, IMD performance and the ACLR improvement of up to 17.46 dB based on 1-channel offset and up to 16.6 dB based on 2-channel offset were confirmed. In the system requiring the same linearity, we confirmed power efficiency improvement of 12.41% at output power of over 40 W.
The IBAC (In-Band Adjacent-Channel) DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) system is to provide multichannel CD quality audio services and multimedia data services including text and picture in FM band (88~105 MHz). As the FM band is being used by the existing analog radio broadcasting, there must he an analysis of the interference effect between IBAC DAB and analog FM signal. Therefore, the protection ratio should be evaluated to verify the system compatibility and allocate the new IBAC DAB channel in FM band. In this paper, among the three types of interferences, FM-to-DAB, DAB-to-FM and DAB-to-DAB, that can be occurred, the Protection ratio of IBAC DAB system for co-channel FM interferer is analyzed by modeling the FM interferer and considering the multipath fading channel. The simulation results show that IBAC DAB system has far better sensitivity than Eureka 147 and needs a relatively high protection ratio for co-channel FM interferer, because of its narrow bandwidth, about one third of that of Eureka 147.
This paper studies interconnection of DCS1800 and GSM900 dual-band networks. Two types of interconnection config-urations for GSM services, non-overlap and overlap, are described. We propose analytic and simulation models to investigate the ben-efit of the overlap configuration. Our results explain how the radio channel capacities, the inter-system handoff failure rate, the origi-nating call traffic ratio and the offered loads affect the system per-formance. This study indicates that with appropriate overlap con-figuration, the GSM dual-band network can significantly improve the quality of cellular service.
