Objectives : The purposes of this study are to investigate the efficacy of bamboo salt pharmacopuncture on nummular eczema. Methods : The patient was treated by bamboo salt pharmacopuncture and herbal medication. The improvement of the symtoms was evaluated by The SCORAD Index. Results : After treatment, erythema and pruritus were significantly improved. The SCORAD Index changed from 60.2 to 10.1. Conclusions : It is suggested that bamboo salt pharmacopuncture is effective on nummular eczema.

There were 26 Bell's palsy cases at the Jecheon Hospital of Korean medicine, Semyung University from February 1, 2019, to February 28, 2021 reviewed. One group (A group) was treated with Bamboo salt pharmacopuncture and cervi cornu parvum pharmacopuncture (CC) pharmacopuncture in the paralyzed side of the face, and the other (B group) group was treated with Soyum pharmacopuncture, and hominis placenta (HP) pharmacopuncture. Amid a paucity of studies that have used bamboo salt and CC pharmacopuncture to treat Bell's palsy, this study aimed to demonstrate possibility of treatment effect on Bell's palsy. In addition, this study was to see if the effect of determine a change in pharmacopuncture was changed according to the progress of Bell's palsy symptoms was effective. Bell's palsy was improved in each group. Altough there were no significant differences in improvement between two groups, Bamboo salt pharmacopuncture and CC pharmacopuncture could be expected to be effective on the paralyzed face. Furthermore, it is effective to switch pharmacopuncture according to the progress of Bell's palsy.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness and availability of salt pharmacopuncture of Korean sun-dried salt and processing salt on the basis of bibliographical review. Methods : This study was done through a narrative review of related bibliography including medical books, journals, general bibliography, and web sites. Results : 1. Korean sun-dried salt is produced in the ground with soil, tiles, and pottery. Sun-dried, traditional, granulated, bamboo, and grilled salts are all appropriate for medical use. They are composed of a lower level of NaCl and unnecessary substances, and have a higher water and mineral content. 2. The 9~30 g of NaCl included in the physiological saline matches the ratio of a normal human body. However, if the saline is used for water supply, it should be improved because the recommended amount is much lower. 3. Medicine that includes NaCl is applied for lessening the congestion of the nasal cavity, alleviating cornea swelling, or for a lack of water. NaCl can also be used for washing contact lenses as well as cleaning the mucous membrane of the eyes and nose. 4. Salt relieves anger, detoxifies, induces vomiting, builds strong muscles and bones, gives energy, slows aging, and ultimately improves health. 5. Salt treats many diseases including: cardiovascular, hematosis, respirometer, obstetric, musculoskeletal, mineral supplement, eye, teeth and skin issues, etc.. However, salt is not used for treating asthma, cough, or other ailments mainly affecting the vascular system. 6. While NaCl in salt absorbs water and the vascular constriction results in higher blood pressure, the pressure induced from salt is actually a physiologically temporary rise. Rather, salt helps remove oil from the body and its potassium lowers blood pressure. Conclusions : It was suggested that salt pharmacopuncture of Korean sun-dried salt and processing salt should be made available for adjusting the physiological salt concentration and control of the Na side effects, therefore it would be useful in the treatment of diseases.

Objectives The craniosacral therapy is closely related to the herbal meridians, so we try to explore, compare and develop pharmacopuncture that can have a synergistic effect. Methods The craniosacral pharmacopuncture, Hominis placenta pharmacopuncture, jungseongohhyeol pharmacopuncture, bamboo salt pharmacopuncture 1.8%, bamboo salt pharmacopuncture 3.0%, and normal saline, which are used with craniosacral therapy in clinical practice, were all made and prepared by ourselves. In order to compare antioxidant activity, 2,2-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl, ferric reducing antioxidant powder, total flavonoids, total phenolics methods were all measured. Method validation such as specificity, linearity, precision, and accuracy were performed for craniosacral pharmacopuncture. Results In all antioxidant methods, craniosacral pharmacopuncture showed the highest activity and followed by a Hominis placenta pharmacopuncture. The rest of the pharmacopunctures were measured to have low antioxidant activity. Nodakenin and glycyrrhizin were suitable as index compounds of craniosacral pharmacopuncture and they contained 0.82±0.01 ㎍/mL and 2.56±0.01 ㎍/mL respectively. Conclusions Craniosacral pharmacopuncture has the highest activity in all antioxidant activity experiments, which will help activate craniosacral therapy and quality control is possible through standardized research. Such research will contribute to the development of the oriental medicine industry.
