The ultrastructure of spermatozoa in Hynobius leechii was examined with transmission electron microscope and compared with those of other urodeles and anurans. The perforatorium and the tail show most of the common feature of urodeles. However, there were several ultrastructural characteristics in an acrosome, nucleus, neck, axial rod and mitochondria related to the nucleus. The acrosome was trifoliate in transverse sections and the perforatorium consisted of two different concentric parts with a fine sharp point in a subacrosomal lumen. The nucleus consisted of two different regions of chromatin area and nuclear ridge. The nuclear ridge was composed of several bundles of five to ten minute tubular subunits of 19 nm diameter in this species, while in higher urodeles it was well developed in multi layers. The protoplasmic bead was separated by a cytoplasmic canal except the connection with only the distal portion of the nucleus. The neck was a short cylinder and contained pericentriolar material with transverse striations. In Hynobius the ring was not elongated to the tail and the mitochondria were distributed only in the protoplasmic bead around the nucleus as in Cryptobranchus, while in higher groups of urodeles it elongates to the length of the middle piece and the mitochondria follow the ring. The ring elongation may be related to the distribution of mitochondria. Hynobiidae and Cryptobranchidae are closely related based on structure of neck, the axial rod and location of mitochondria, although they are different in the composition of the axial rod.
This paper presents an analytical model for calculation of crack widths in reinforced concrete structures. The model is mathematically derived from the actual bond stress-slip relationships between the reinforcement and the surrounding concrete, and the relationships summarized in CEB-FIP Model Code 1990 and Eurocode 2 are employed in this study together with the numerical analysis result of a linear slip distribution along the interface at the stabilized cracking stage. With these, the actual strains of the steel and the concrete are integrated respectively along the embedment length between the adjacent cracks so as to obtain the difference in the axial elongation. The model is applied to the test results available in literatures, and the predicted values are shown to be in good agreement with the experimentally measured data.
This paper describes a proposal for average crack width and immediate deflection calculation in structural concrete members. The model is mathematically derived from actual bond stressslip relationships and tension stiffening effect between reinforcement and the surrounding concrete, and the actual strains of steel and concrete are integrated respectively along the embedded length between the adjacent cracks so as to obtain the difference in the axial elongation. With these, a model for average crack width and immediate deflection in reinforced concrete flexural members are proposed utilizing difference in the axial elongation and average steel strain and moment-curvature relationship with taking account of bond characteristics. The model is applied to the test specimens available in literatures, and the crack width and deflections predicted by the proposal equation in this study are closed to the experimentally measured data compared the current code provisions.

In this study, hydroformability and mechanical properties of pre- and post- heat treated Al6061 tubes at different extrusion type were investigated. For the investigation, as-extruded, full annealed and T6-treated Al 6061 tubes at different extrusion type were prepared. To evaluate the hydroformability, uni-axial tensile test and free bulge test were performed at room temperature and $200^{\circ}C$. Also mechanical properties of hydroformed part at various pre- and post-heat treatments were estimated by tensile test. And the tensile test specimens were obtained from hexagonal prototype hydroformed tube at $200^{\circ}C$. As for the heat treatment, hydroformability of full annealed tube is 25% higher than that of extruded tube. The tensile strength and elongation were more than 330MPa and 12%, respectively, when hydroformed part was post-T6 treated after hydroforming of pre- full annealed tube. However, hydroformed part using T6 pre treated tube represents high strength and low elongation, 8%. Therefore, the T6 treatment after hydroforming for as-extruded tube is cost-effective. Hydroformability of Al6061 tube showed similar value for both extrusion types. But flow stress of seam tube showed $20{\sim}50MPa$ lower value.

Stern tube bearing is a shaft device playing important roles to reduce the friction of axial rotation and to support the weight of shaft. However, because there is no domestic producer of stern tube bering, imported stern tube bearings have many practical problems including prices, delivery and after services. This is why stern tube bearing should be localization. For the purpose of development of polyurethane resin for stern tube bearings, the effect of additives on the hardness, tensile strength and elongation of the polyurethane resin were systematically investigated. For the preliminary researches, depending on the type of curing agent, MOCA type and non-MOCA type polyurethanes were synthesized. Preliminary researches concluded that MOCA type polyurethane resin has more excellent mechanical properties than non-MPCA type for stern tube bearings that Tensile strength and Hardness of non-MOCA type investigated 23 D, 4.3 Mpa. Therefore, MOCA type polyurethane was adapted as base resin of this research. Silica, calcium carbonate and graphite were selected as additives for the enhancement of mechanical properties of polyurethane resin. Effect of the type and the dosage of these additives on the hardness, tensile strength, elongation of the polyurethane resin were experimentally examined. However, addition of calcium carbonate and graphite showed only minor effect on the hardness of the resin. Polyurethane resin with silica showed relatively excellent hardness, tensile strength and improved elongation.
The Ballast Track has been widely applied in traditionally due to low initial cost and abundant elastic property. But the disadvantages of Ballast track are; labor-intensive and costly maintenance, weak in high-speed and heavy axial load, in additionally need wide cross section of tunnel and massive substructure in viaduct. Therefore, recent applications tend to more and more towards slab track such as Gyeungbu high speed rail and existing line. The slab track increased the stability, resistance and durability of track, and save maintenance cost compare to the Ballast Track. But the slab track have weakness of track elongation by sub-ballast differential settlement and that threat safety of train operation. Therefor the slab track need to prevent cracks in concrete ballast for insure the durability of slab track. In this paper, review main items and its expected effects of the slab track maintenance standards that control sub-ballast settlement and concrete ballast cracks.
Experimental study was conducted to investigate the effects of axial forcing on the flame structures near the nozzle exit of non-premixed flame. The most notable observation is that the direction of vortical motions is changed at some ranges, according to the increase of excitation amplitude. Especially, the elongation flame and the phenomenon of In-burning are always occurred when the vortical motion turnabout. In an analysis of the flame/flow visualization by means of direct photography and RMS technique, a plausible explanation can be made that above phenomena are related only to the amplitude of phase average velocity between the instantaneous velocity elements of excited flow.

One of the important technical issues is how to decrease thermal expansion of ballscrew in proportion to the increase of machining speed. when measuring force of stretch of ballscrew, since not only actual expansion and the value of bending have to be considered, it's impossible to definite the exact value of expansion. In addition, support bearings of ballscrew gain considerable force in axial direction. It also generates thermal expansion on the ballscrew, and deteriorates the bearings. In conclusion, it's impossible to give the pretension enough to absorb the all elongation due to thermal expansion generated during machine running. If gave, bed, column and saddle are all bent to change machine accuracy, and the support bearings of ballscrew are damaged. The purpose of this paper is to study the pretension of support bearing of ballscrew in machine tool.
We examined the ultrastructure of eupyrene and apyrene spermatogenesis in the testis of Helicoverpa assulta (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae). The spermatogenesis was progressed near the fringe adjacent to the follicular layer of the testicular follicle, surrounding the apical cell concentrically. Eupyrene and apyrene were firstly distinguished at the telophase stage of the primary spermatocyte. Chromatin was evenly scattered in eupyrene nuclei, whereas it was lumped near the nuclear envelope in apyrene spermatogenesis. Then, the nucleus of eupyrene was transformed into two daughter nuclei by meiosis, while the nucleus of apyrene was divided into many micronuclei by irregular meiosis. After the meiosis was completed, a number of mitochondria in the cytoplasm of the early spermatids of the eupyrene and the apyrene were fused into one nebenkern. Also, as axial filament was formed due to the elongation of the spermatid, the nebenkern became splitted into mitochondrial derivatives. An acrosome precursor was present only in the eupyrene, attached to nuclear envelope.
