Using the principle of damage mechanics, zero-thickness pore pressure cohesive elements (PPCE) are used to simulate the casing-cement interface (CCI) and cement-rock interface (CRI). The traction-separation law describes the emergence and propagation of the PPCE. Mohr-coulomb criteria determines the elastic and plastic condition of cement sheath and rock. The finite element model (FEM) of delamination fractures emergence and propagation along the casing-cement-rock (CCR) interfaces during hydraulic fracturing is established, and the emergence and propagation of fractures along the wellbore axial and circumferential direction are simulated. Regadless of the perforation angle (the angle between the perforation and the max. horizontal principle stress), mirco-annulus will be produced alonge the wellbore circumferential direction when the cementation strength of the CCI and the CRI is less than the rock tensile strength; the delamination fractures are hard to propagate along the horizontal wellbore axial direction; emergence and propagation of delamination fractures are most likely produced on the shallow formation when the in-situ stresses are lower; the failure mode of cement sheath in the deep well is mainly interfaces seperation and body damange caused by cement expansion and contraction, or pressure testing and well shut-in operations.

Residual stresses induced in U-bending and tube-to-tubesheet joining processes of PWR's steam generator row-1 tube were measured by X-ray method and Hole-Drilling Method(HDM). The stresses resulting from the Internal pressure and the temperature gradient in the steam generator were also estimated theoretically. In U-bent lesions, the residual stresses at extrados were induced with compressive stress(-), and its maximum value reached -319 MPa in axial direction at ${\psi}=0^{\circ}$ in position. Maximum tensile residual stress of 170MPa was found to be at the flank side at Position of${\psi}=90^{\circ}$, i.e., at apex region. In tube-to-tubesheet fouling methods, the residual stresses induced by the explosive joint method were found to be lower than that by the mechanical roll method. The gradient of residual stress along the expanded tube was highest at the. transition region, and the residual stress in circumferential direction was found to be higher than the residual stress in axial direction. Hoop stress due to an internal pressure between primary and secondary side was analyzed to be 76 MPa and thermal stress was 45 MPa.

In this paper, three axial accelerometer was used to develop a small sensor module, which was attached to human body to calculate the acceleration in gravity direction by human motion, when it was positioned in any direction. To measure its wearer's walking or running motion using the sensor module, the acquired sensor data was pre-processed to enable its quantitative analysis. The acquired digital data was transformed to orthogonal coordinate value in three dimension and calculated to be single scalar acceleration data in gravity direction and normalized to be physical unit value.

This paper describes the design and evaluation procedure of an ultra-precision rotary table for freeform generating machined tools. Design of the thrust and journal hydrostatic bearings and experimental evaluation of the table were performed. To get the compact size and less lost motion direct drive servomotor with ultra precision encoder. From the considered design, following performance were confirmed by experiment. The total stiffness of the prototype rotary table was 483.6 $N/{\mu}m$ and 97.6 $N/{\mu}m$ for axial and radial direction, respectively. Rotational accuracy of the table was investigated by capacitive sensor and reversal measurement technique, and 0.10 ${\mu}m$ radial direction and 0.05 ${\mu}m$ axial direction of the rotational accuracy were confirmed. The micro resolution of the table was also investigated with displacement of capacitive sensor, and $0.5/10000^{\circ}$ of micro resolution was confirmed. Index accuracy of the table was evaluated by the autocollimator and polygon mirror, and the $\pm0.39$ arcsec accuracy and $\pm0.16$ arcsec repeatability of the table were confirmed. Those are under the general requirements of ultra precision rotary tables for freeform generating machined tools.
In this paper, we consist of three dimensional acceleration sensor as a small-sized sensor module to acquire base technologies that need to estimate exhibition audience' moving distance. and that we developed algorism and device that can calculate acceleration in gravity direction with attaching it to people's body part without regard to three dimensional direction. By making use of the sensor module, we have to process the data that let it quantitatively process possible to measure people's walk and movement by computer system. We normalized sensor output data in the process of change from sensor module to acquisition of data, rectangular coordinates and single scalar acceleration value in gravity direction. Printed out sensor data attaching sensor module to people's body part is used for motion pattern detection after normalization, Motion sensor devised mode change algorism because it print data of other pattern according to attached position of body. For algorism design, we collected data occurring during walking about subject and we also defined occurring problem domain after analyzing the data. We settle defined problem domain and that we simulated the walking number measuring instrument with highly efficient in restricted environment.

In this study, the progressive inelastic deformation, so called, thermal ratchet phenomenon which can occur in high temperature structures of liquid metal reactor was simulated with thermal ratchet structural test facility and 316L stainless steel test cylinder. The thermal ratchet deformation at the reactor baffle cylinder of the liquid metal reactor can occur due to the moving temperature distribution along the axial direction as the sodium free surface moves up and down under the cyclic heat-up and cool-down transients. The ratchet deformation was measured with the laser displacement sensor and LVDTs after cooling the structural specimen which is heated up to 55$0^{\circ}C$ with steep temperature gradients along the axial direction. The temperature distribution of the test cylinder along the axial direction was measured with 28 channels of thermocouples and was used for the ratchet analysis. The thermal ratchet deformation was analyzed with the constitutive equation of nonlinear combined hardening model which was implemented as ABAQUS user subroutine and the analysis results were compared with those of the test. Thermal ratchet load was applied 9 times and the residual displacement after 9 cycles of thermal load was measured to be 1.79mm. The ratcheting deformation shapes obtained by the analysis with the combined hardening model were in reasonable agreement with those of the structural tests.
For the prediction of the shear strength of reinforced concrete members subjected to axial force, this paper presents a truss model, Transformation Angle Truss Model (TATM), that can predict the shear behavior of reinforced concrete members subjected to combined actions of shear, axial force, and bending moment. In TATM, as axial compressive stress increases, crack angle decreases and concrete contribution due to the shear resistance of concrete along the crack direction increases in order to consider the effect of the axial force. To verify if the prediction results of TATM have an accuracy and reliability for the shear strength of reinforced concrete members subjected to axial forces, the shear test results of a total of 67 RC members subjected to axial force reported in the technical literatures were collected and compared with TATM and existing analytical models(MCFT RA-STM and FA-STM). As a result of comparing with experimental and theoretical results, the test results was better predicted by TATM with 0.94 in average value of $\tau_{test}/\tau_{ana}$. and $11.2\%$ in coefficient of variation than other truss models. And theoretical results obtained from TATM were not effect by steel capacity ratio, axial force, shear span-to-depth ratio, and compressive steel ratio.

The increasing needs for higher cargo capacity in the container vessels' fleet has led to ship builder's demand for higher power output rating engine to meet the propulsion requirement, thus, leading to the development of super large two stroke low speed diesel engines. This large sized bore engines with more than 12 cylinders are capable of delivering power output up to more than 100,000 bhp at maximum continuous rating. The thrust variation force due to axial vibration occurring in propulsion shafting of these ships are transmitted to ship structure via thrust bearing. This force may vibrate the super structure of ship in the fore-aft direction and the fatigue strength of crank shaft can be decreased by additional bending stress increase in crank shaft pin and journal. In this paper, the axial vibration of propulsion shafting system on the 14RT-flex96C super large diesel engine with 14 cylinders is identified by theoretical analysis and vibration measurement.
The characteristics of amplitudes and power spectra of X axial, Y axial, and RZ axial (i.e., body axis) wind forces on a 492 m high-rise building with a section varying along height in typical wind directions are studied via a rigid model wind tunnel test of pressure measurement. Then the corresponding mathematical expressions of power spectra of X axial (across-wind), Y axial (along-wind) and torsional wind forces in $315^{\circ}$ wind directions are proposed. The investigation shows that the mathematical expressions of wind force spectra of the main structure in across-wind and torsional directions can be constructed by the superimposition of an modified wind spectrum function and a peak function caused by turbulent flow and vortex shedding, respectively. While that in along-wind direction can only be constructed by the former and is similar to wind spectrum. Moreover, the fitted parameters of the wind load spectra of each measurement level of altitude are summarized, and the unified parametric results are obtained. The comparisons of the first three order generalized force spectra show that the proposed mathematical expressions accord with the experimental results well.
Measurements of the leakage flow in the shrouded cavity were performed in axial compressor cascades at $Re=2.6{\times}10^5$. This paper describes the effects of the leakage flow tangential velocity on kinematics of the leakage flow in the shrouded cavity and consequent overall loss and exit flow turning at stator blade row downstream. Flow data and flow visualization images consistently indicate that leakage flow circumferentially migrates 2, 4 and 5 blade passages in the direction of rotation for ${\upsilon}_y/c=0.09$, 0.35 and 0.45, respectively where ${\upsilon}_y$ is the leakage tangential velocity and c is the mainstream velocity. The leakage flow contracts to a jet across the seal-tooth resulting in an increase in the leakage axial velocity-doubling the leakage axial velocity in upstream cavity compared to that in the downstream cavity. Consequently, two flow regions are distinguished before and after the seal-tooth. As increasing the leakage tangential velocity, the overall loss downstream of stator blade row decreases and the exit flow turning in the range of span. from the hub endwall to 15% increases while the decreases in the flow turning from 15% to 30% span is observed.
