The purpose of this study is to develop and technically implement the design and scenario of cabin safety contents for virtual reality (VR)-based cabin safety learning for aviation service majors. The process for developing VR cabin safety learning contents consisted of a total of four stages: learning stage, research stage, verification stage, and application stage. The cabin safety scenario items for the production of VR learning contents reflected the occurrence of an emergency, the procedure for survival from impact, and the evacuation procedure from the aircraft as the core. For the technical implementation of learning contents, modeling work is conducted by checking scenario reviews, types and numbers of objects related to equipment and facilities, and items of interaction. In addition, the connection work with the actual metaverse platform is carried out to enable the utilization of the manufactured facilities and equipment objects. Finally, application tests were carried out to reconfirm supplementary items.

Fighter pilot's ability to maintain both mental and physical capabilities in highly stressful situations is important for aviation safety as well as mission performance because pilot may confront frequently unexpected physical and psychological stimulation. Cumulative psychological stress and physical fatigue can be causes of mood distortion, declined alertness, and can lead to reduction of combat capability. We have investigated bio-signals and performance tests to monitor stress and fatigue levels, and developed a system to evaluate aviation mission suitability before flight. This study elucidated that stress and fatigue level of pilot can be monitored by psychomotor cognitive test(PCT) and heart rate variability(HRV), and that the best of reference for aviation mission suitability was confidential interval obtained from cumulative data of individuals. The system to evaluate aviation mission suitability was constructed with measuring part with PCT and HRV and control part with DB and algorithm.

In accordance with ICAO SARPs, the states should implement appropriate aviation-related health promotion for airmen subject to an aviation medical examination to reduce future medical risks to flight safety. We aimed to analyze the results of the aviation medical examination to use as objective evidence for establishing an aviationrelated health promotion plan. The results of the final issuance of airmen medical certificate from 2015~2017 were collected from the e-sky computer system. The 30 cases (0.3%) in 2015, 22 cases (0.2%) in 2016, 38 cases (0.3%) in 2017 were unfit for flight duty. The 34 unfit out of the total 90 cases were renewal physical examinations. The cardiovascular disease was most commonly in 11 cases, followed by 8 tumors, 4 psychiatric diseases, 3 ophthalmic diseases, 2 respiratory diseases, 2 neurologic diseases, 2 otolaryngological diseases, 1 endocrine disease and 1 digestive disease. The results of this study can be used as objective data in aviation-related health promotion plan. The health promotion activities based on objective data can contribute to improving aviation safety by improving the lifestyles of airmen.

Flight instructors at aviation training centers are exposed to various stresses, such as stress caused by special work environments, stress caused by working conditions, and stress related to uncertain future airline employment. These stresses are expected to not only affect flight safety, but also adversely affect the job satisfaction of flight instructors, and consequently negatively affect the performance of high-quality flight education. Therefore, this study was conducted to understand the effects of these stresses on the job satisfaction of flight instructors by examining the stress experienced by flight instructors in flight, psychological, and physical aspects based on the results of previous studies on stress. To the end, this study conducted a survey of flight instructors belonging to aviation training centers, and as a result of analyzing the collected data, it was confirmed that the physical stress of flight instructors had a significant negative effect on their job satisfaction.

Aviation industry is moving towards the third innovative era of AAM with electric power and AI after the JET-powered era following the Wright brothers' first flights. Research on UAM, eVTOL development, certification, and operations is competitively progressing, primarily in aviation-leading countries, aiming to resolve urban traffic saturation and foster the future aviation industries. This study introduces the concept of the pilot's role transition in operational safety as AI autonomous flight advances, comparing K-UAM operational concept with research from FAA, NASA, and EASA. It is to identify and propose solutions for challenges from the pilot's perspective in developing UAM and its safe operation system. To succeed in Advanced Air Mobility National Project, we suggest the collaboration among industry, academia, and institutions, along with the cooperation between civilians, governments, military, and the need for Urban Air Mobility integrated policies.

A Flight test is an important process that must be performed to maintain airworthiness in the aircraft lifecycle, including aircraft development and certification. Flight test can be conducted for the purpose of demonstrating or verifying compliance with the applicable standard. Results of the flight test air accident analysis confirm that it is caused by a combination of various factors as well as aircraft. The International Civil Aviation Organization recommends the establishment and implementation of a safety management system to prevent aircraft accidents, but it does not reflect the specificity of the flight test. As such, advanced countries are providing separate criteria to assist stakeholder in conducting flight test safety management. This study investigates and analyzes relevant regulations of advanced countries, in accordance with the construction of a national flight performance test site in Korea, and proposes government-level guidelines to help stakeholders develop their flight test operation manuals. The guidelines discuss topics such as organizational composition, safety and risk management, flight operation, personnel management, and administrative issues.

The article specified in aviation legislation, 'The captain has the final authority and responsibility in flight safety' could be one reason running counter to applying "Vertrauensgrundsatz". In practice, however, captains do not have professional skills in every task and they should distribute duties and responsibilities to flight attendents and other staffs to operate the flight as safely and efficiently as possible. Therefore, in aviation, fair criterion, namely, "Vertrauensgrundsatz" is necessary to balance between efficiency and legal interest for participants. In addition, when it comes to mutual trust of duty which was the starting point of this study, the standard in mutual advice or interference must be based on the duty specified in air law and flight regulations. Also, pervasive trust will not only be attributed to joint responsibility but an act that cannot be trusted.

In the case of aviation maintenance work, several kinds of shift works are performed during day and night, and a lot of works are performed on the ramp due to the characteristics of the aircraft flight schedule. Maintenance workers are often exposed to the sun or in cold temperatures for aircraft maintenance works. The fatigue risk of the maintenance workers will be weighted. In particular, the work at night shift under normal biological rhythms can make maintenance workers feel sleepy during daytime work. It can also affect the safety of aircraft and individual workers. Accordingly, this study will consider fatigue-related previous researches in the field of aviation maintenance, review the effects of shift work, and how fatigue affects aviation mechanics during the day/night shifts. Considering these factors, we tried to present a plan that can minimize the fatigue of aviation workers through this study.
Since 1961, Aviation Act has regulated all aspects related to air transport business, aviation safety and airport. However, we are to face the new challenges that have to support air transport business more efficiently and air transportation services to the people effectively in condition of the globally competitive air transport industry. In this sense, the government proposed to devide "Aviation Act" into 'Air Transport Business Act', 'Aviation Safety Act', 'Airport Facility Act' in a timely manner. At first I am to take a look about the laws of traffic-related legislation and national laws of Japanese aviation system, and to evaluate implications. In addition, the background, the organization and the main information of the Act (Draft) will be introduced. And I would like to discuss the issues raised and suggest an alternative. In particular, the name of the Act (Draft), the specifying of airport manager operater, accounting method of airport development projects belong to the nation, the delegation of the authority and other issues are discussed to provide a starting point. In conclusion, the division of current "Aviation Act" is considered absolutely necessary. To stimulate fair competition, safety regulations and efficiency, the legislation process would be desirable in the direction of the total development of the aviation industry as well as ensuring aviation safety.
