The turbulent properties in a mixed statistically stationary flow were investigated experimentally by a pseudo stereoscopic PIV. In order to validate the experimental results, the profiles of the turbulent kinetic energy were evaluated with the flow features. A mechanical agitator having 6 blades was installed at the bottom of the mixing tank (D=60cm, H=60cm). The agitator was rotated with 80rpm clockwise and counter-clockwise. For the measurements, three cameras were used and all were synchronized. The images captured by one of the three cameras was used for the measurement of rotational speed, and the images captured by the other two cameras were used to measure three dimensional components of velocity vectors. All vectors captured at the same rotational angle were phase averaged to construct three-dimensional vector fields to reconstruct the spatial distribution of the flow properties. It was seen that the jet scrolling along the tank was the main source of mixing.
In order to acquire more comprehensive understanding of textile composites, the processing-microstructure-performance relationships for a variety of material systems, reinforcing schemes and processing technologies should be established. In this paper, emphasis is placed on the integrated analysis of three-dimensional (3-D) 2-step braided composites. The analysis includes the geometric model of unit cells, identification of key process parameters and processing windows due to limiting geometries of yarn jamming, and prediction of elastic constants of the composite. The coordinate transformation and averaging of stiffness and compliance constants are utilized in the prediction of elastic constants. Since there are several types of unit cells in the thickness and width directions of the composites, characterization of mechanical properties is based upon the macro-cell, which occupies the entire cross-section and the unit pitch length of the sample. The performance map demonstrates that a wide range of elastic properties can be achieved by varying the geometric and process parameters.
The development of manufacturing technology for braided composites has led to farther extension of the applications in aerospace structures. Since the mechanical characteristics of braided composites are affected by various materials and manufacturing parameters, it is important to determine the parameters required to appropriately design the braided composite structures. In this study, we proposed a geometric model of RUC (repeating unit cell) for 2D braided composites, and predicted the mechanical properties according to the change of fiber volume fraction, fiber filament size, braiding angle, and gap between adjacent yarns by the yarn slicing technique and stress averaging method. Finally, we analyze the characteristics of mechanical properties according to each manufacturing parameter of the braided composite material.
The various DNA-protein interactions associated with the expression of genetic information involve double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) bending. Due to the importance of the formation of the dsDNA bending structure, dsDNA bending properties have long been investigated in the biophysics field. Conventionally, DNA bendability is characterized by innate averaging data from bulk experiments. The advent of single-molecule methods, such as atomic force microscopy, optical and magnetic tweezers, tethered particle motion, and single-molecule fluorescence resonance energy transfer measurement, has provided valuable tools to investigate not only the static structures but also the dynamic properties of bent dsDNA. Here, we reviewed the single-molecule methods that have been used for investigating dsDNA bendability and new findings related to dsDNA bending. Single-molecule approaches are promising tools for revealing the unknown properties of dsDNA related to its bending, particularly in cells.

An induced hesitant linguistic aggregation operator is investigated in the paper, in which, hesitant fuzzy linguistic evaluation values are associated with probabilistic information. To deal with these hesitant fuzzy linguistic information, an induced hesitant fuzzy linguistic probabilistic ordered weighted averaging (IHFLPOWA) operator is proposed, monotonicity, boundary and idempotency of IHFLPOWA are proved. Then andness, orness and the entropy of dispersion of IHFLPOWA are analyzed, which are used to characterize the weighting vector of the operator, these properties show that IHFLPOWA is extensions of the induced linguistic ordered weighted averaging operator and linguistic probabilistic aggregation operator. In this paper, IHFLPOWA is utilized to gather linguistic information and create fuzzy ontologies, and a movie fuzzy ontology as an illustrative case study is used to show the elaboration of the proposed method and comparison with the existing linguistic aggregation operators, it seems that the IHFLPOWA operator is an useful and alternative operator for dealing with hesitant fuzzy linguistic information with probabilistic information.
Manganese ore deposits of the Samhan Changgun Properties are located at the valley of west-lope-side of Changgun-bong (1132m) occupied over the Myon border between Sochon-myon and Jaesan-myon Pongwha-gun, Kyongsang-Pukdo. Geology of the more property and it's vicinity consists of Wonnan formation and Yulri formation of pre-Cambrain and Changgun limestone formation, Mica-schist formation, quartizite formation and Jaesan formation (containing coal bearing zone the unknown age. And granites and dykes were intruded into the above formation later. 1. Management deposits is embedded the formation of Janggun limestone especially Contact zone in the contact zone to of Chunyang Granite limestone enclosed by Granite, and Maginal zone of fault line in the limestone. Therefore, Chunyang Granite is Closely related to ore deposit. Pegmatite which is near by ore deposit was intruded before mineralization and it seems to be a channelway of ore solution. The most important ore deposits of property grouped into south deposit, east deposit, east-Gachon deposit, South-Gachon deposit, Durimgok deposit and West deposit, out-crops at several place. Besides these deposits there also are several prospects on outcrop scathered. Hydrothermal alteration take place strongly in the well rock and it's sequence are Characterized as following; 1) Dolomitization 2) Carbonization 3) Mamgamotozation 4) Pyritization 5) Silicification 6) Oxidation 2. The grade of manganese dioxide is up to Mn 45% in Maximum, but generally, averaging Mn 30~35% of high grade ore and averaging Mn 30~32% of manganese carbonates are mined in his property.

In this study, tensile strength and modulus were evaluated for a filament wound ring specimen by split disk test and compared with the theoretical values obtained by the rule of mixtures. The circumferentially wound ring specimens were prepared from 4 types of material systems. The results showed that the measured strengths of the composite systems were considerably lower than the theoretical values due to the local bending stresses around the split disk edges. for the measurement of elastic moduli of the filament wound ring specimens, the effect of friction on the strain of the ring must be taken into account. But the effect of friction between the split disk fixture and the ring specimen can be eliminated by averaging the moduli for loading and unloading state with maintaining the same crosshead rates. The measured elastic moduli of ring specimens showed very good agreement with the theoretical values.

In this paper, we present analytic forms of the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator weighting functions, each of which has properties of rank-based weights and a constant level of orness, irrespective of the number of objectives considered. These analytic forms provide significant advantages for generating OWA weights over previously reported methods. First, OWA weights can be efficiently generated by use of proposed weighting functions without solving a complicated mathematical program. Moreover, convex combinations of these specific OWA operators can be used to generate OWA operators with any predefined values of orness once specific values of orness are α priori stated by decision maker. Those weights have a property of constant level of orness as well. Finally, OWA weights generated at a predefined value of orness make almost no numerical difference with maximum entropy OWA weights in terms of dispersion.
In order to overcome the disadvantages of linear filters in certain cases of practical interest, a class of nonlinear filters(rank filters) are constructed based on a class of robust estimates, the rank estimates. A subclass of these filters, the limited-degree extended-averaging Wilcoxon filters, is then described as an interesting example of the rank filters with desirable characteristics. The properties of these filters are discussed and the performance of these filters are analyzed for ideal edges and narrow pulses.
For the formation identification, surface geological survey, drill core analysis, core description and well log analysis are widely used. Among them well log analysis is a popular method with drill core analysis, since it measures continuously physical properties at in-situ. In this study we calculated Thomsen anisotropic parameters (${\varepsilon},\;{\delta},\;{\eta}$) after applying Backus averaging method to the P wave velocity, S wave velocity, and density logs. The well log data application of Blackfoot, Canada, shows the formation could be divided by 12 layers. This shows that Thomsen anisotropic parameters for identifying formation using anisotropic parameters is useful if there is no natural gamma log that is widely used for the formation identification.
