  • ELVs (End-of-Vehicles) in Korea incrasease continusely because of increase of used car. Automobile Shredder Residue (ASR) is final product of ELVs (End-of-Vehicles) after recycling. Automobile Shredder Residue are composed of light and heavy fluffs and soil/dust. In this study, 5 ton/day pilot plant of shaft type has been designed and constructed and 15 times of test run were performed. For the stable operation, operation conditions such as the amount of fed ASR and cokes, air flow and temperature in the gasification melting system have been changed and the composition of the produced gas such as $H_2$, CO and $CH_4$ and air pollution compound including dioxin discharged from the stack have been analyzed.

  • This paper deals with the productivity increment through construction of lean production system for automobile factory in China. This lean production system has been progressed according to 5 steps. Step 1 is the work preparation. Step 2 is the process design. Step 3 is the establishment of method to count production quantity. Step 4 is the establishment of measuring method for input and output. Finally, step 5 is the construction of flexible production system able to adapt for environment change. This lean production system is expected to obtain the productivity increment by 50% for plastic plant and reduction by 50% in inventory quantity.

자동차 제조 사업장 근로자들의 석면 취급 이력 추정 (Estimation of the Asbestos Handling History of Workers in the Automobile Manufacturing Industry in Korea)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate asbestos handling history of workers at automobile manufacturing plants in Korea. Methods: National regulations on asbestos and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency(KOSHA) database on the information of asbestos containing products were reviewed. We investigated asbestos related materials from one automobile manufacturing plant. Material safety data sheets(MSDS) collected in 2010, work environment monitoring results reported from 2000 to 2013, trade union reports and asbestos survey reports were reviewed. We also interviewed workers with long career and did walk-through survey. Results: The Ministry of Labor in Korea has permitted asbestos manufacturing since 1990. In 1997, the use of crocidolite and amosite asbestos were banned. In 2007, the Korean government announced a total ban on the manufacturing, importation and use of all kinds of asbestos, which took full effect in 2009. A total of 174 asbestos products information from KOSHA database was analyzed. Extruded cement panel for building, special brake for crane farm machinery, gasket, joint sheet and thermal insulator were produced until 2007. From automobile manufacturing plant survey, we confirmed that asbestos containing materials(ACM) such as gasket, heating induction materials have been used until 2011. Asbestos containing building materials(ACBM) such as bamlites, slate and ceiling tex were reported at 122 asbestos dismantling projects in 2014. Conclusion: Although the use of all kinds of asbestos were banned from 2009, ACMs and ACBMs installed before 2009 were still found at automobile manufacturing plant until 2011 and 2014 respectively. In particular, asbestos slates should be managed because most of slates had not been removed until 2014.

완성차조립 부품공급의 지역적 물류체계 (Regional Physical Distribution Systems of Parts Supply for Automobile Assembly in Korea)

  • 1990년대 후반 이후 완성차 메이커의 구조조정, 외국 부품공급업체의 국내진출, 글로벌 차원에서의 부품조달, 산업의 IT화에 따른 개방적 부품 조달체계의 확산, 그리고 모듈화 등이 수직적인 부품조달체계를 완화시키는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 이와 같은 완성차 생산의 내외 환경변화에 따라 본 연구에서는 완성차 조립공장에 1차 공급업체와 모듈기업이 공급하는 부품의 지역적 물류체계가 어떻게 이루어지고 있는가를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 기존문헌 및 인터뷰 조사를 실시했다. 그 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 완성차 부품공급의 지역적 물류체계는 완성차 조립공장을 중심으로 공장 내에나 인접지역에 모듈공장이 입지하는데, 1차 공급업체의 부품은 근접권에서 살펴본 바와 같이 공급의 분산비율이 비교적 높게 나타나 JIT의 다빈도 소량배송보다는 자동차 조립공장 인근에 통합물류센터를 설치해 부품을 공급하고 여기에서 다시 조립공장에 납품을 한다. 이렇게 함 으로서 부품공급업체나 조립공장 모두에게 배송비용을 줄여주고 부품의 안정적인 공급이 이루어지기 때문에 중층적인 모듈 반제품을 위한 부품공급도 이와 같은 방식을 취한다.

  • This paper deals with the productivity increment through construction of HT8 production system for automobile factory in China. HT8 production system start to build up several management indices. The important management indices consists of organization management, location management, management of order, management of defective item, management of delivery information, and warehouse management. This HT8 production system is expected to obtain the improvement for overall organization management and reduction by 50% in warehouse cost.

  • Through process quality information, the time required for process quality analysis has been drastically shortened, the process defect rate has been reduced, and the manufacturing lead time has been shortened and the on-time delivery rate has been improved. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to develop a quality information analysis system model that effectively shortens the time required for process quality analysis in automobile safety belt parts manufacturing process. As a result of experiments on communication operation between manufacturing execution system (MES) quality server, injection machine control computer, injection machine programmable logic controller (PLC) and terminal, in analyzing quality information, the conventional handwriting input method took an average of 20 minutes, but the new multi-network method took about 2 minutes on average. In addition, the process defect rate was reduced by 13% and the manufacturing lead time was shortened from 28 hours to 20 hours. The delivery compliance rate improved from 96 to 99%.

  • This paper deals with the application and effects of MES for H automobile plant in China. There existed the production planning and the different work order in PL painting plant, but we can simultaneously prepare the painting parts and parts delivery and assembly according to painting color by introducing MES. We can respond the change of production planning and operate integratively the PL painting, parts storage and parts delivery and then we can results in reasonable logistics. We obtained the exact production information, correct work order, precise delivery order. We obtained not only the improvement of logistics but also the reduction of inventory.
