  • The submarine's intercept pulse detection detects pulses radiated from enemy surface ships, submarines, and torpedoes, and performs an important function of providing maneuverability and survivability of submarine. Whether or not the intercept pulse is detected is determined by comparing the size of the received pulse with the threshold value by the operator. In the case of intercept pulses, the intensity of the pulses is frequently reduced under the influence of various environmental factors. In the situation, if detection is performed with a fixed threshold, a non-detection problem occurs and persists until the operator sets a low threshold. In this paper, we proposed method for automatically adjusting threshold to reduce the non-detection problem caused by a fixed threshold. Simulation were preformed on 4 cases with different pulse level fluctuation widths, and it was confirmed that the detection performance was improved by increasing the number of detections when a method for automatically adjusting threshold was applied to all cases. Through the proposed method, it is expected that the intercept pulse detection performance will be improved in the marine environment the large fluctuations in pulse level in the future.

  • Many more use e-mail purely on a personal basis and the pool of e-mail users is growing daily. Also, the amount of mails, which are transmitted in electronic commerce, is getting more and more. Because of its convenience, a mass of spam mails is flooding everyday. And yet automated techniques for learning to filter e-mail have yet to significantly affect the e-mail market. This paper suggests Web Mail Filtering Agent for Personalized Classification, which automatically manages mails adjusting to the user. It is based on web mail, which can be logged in any time, any place and has no limitation in any system. In case new mails are received, it first makes some personal rules in use of the result of observation ; and based on the personal rules, it automatically classifies the mails into categories according to the contents of mails and saves the classified mails in the relevant folders or deletes the unnecessary mails and spam mails. And, we applied Bayesian Algorithm using Dynamic Threshold for our system's accuracy.

  • In this paper, we propose the method for extracting Homogeneity Threshold($H_T$) and for segmenting homogeneous regions by USRG(Unseeded Region Growing) with $H_T$. The $H_T$ is a criterion to distinguish homogeneity in neighbor pixels and is computed automatically from the original image by proposed method. Theoretical background for proposed method is based on the Otsu's single level threshold method. The method is used to divide a small local part of original image int o two classes and the sum($\sigma_c$) of standard deviations for the classes to satisfy special conditions for distinguishing as different regions from each other is used to compute $H_T$. To find validity for proposed method, we compare the original image with the image that is regenerated with only the segmented homogeneous regions and show up the fact that the difference between two images is not exist visually and also present the steps to regenerate the image in order the size of segmented homogeneous regions and in order the intensity that includes pixels. Also, we show up the validity of proposed method with various results that is segmented using the homogeneity thresholds($H^*_T$) that is added a coefficient ${\alpha}$ for adjusting scope of $H_T$. We expect that the proposed method can be applied in various fields such as visualization and animation of natural image, anatomy and biology and so on.

  • We have implemented a technique to correct the brightness, saturation, and contrast of an image according to the degree of light, and further compensate the backlight. Backlight compensation can be done automatically or manually. For manual backlight compensation, we have to select the region of interest (ROI). ROI can be selected by connecting the outline of the desired object. We make users select the region delicately with the new magnetic lasso tool. The previous lasso tool has a disadvantage that the start point and the end point must be connected. However, the proposed lasso tool has the advantage of selecting the region of interest without connecting the start point and the end point. We can automatically obtain various results of backlight compensation by adjusting the number of k-means clusters for texture extraction and the threshold value for binarization.

  • Recently, the RPAS(Remote Piloted Aircraft System), by remote control and autonomous navigation, has been increasing in interest and utilization in various industries and public organizations along with delivery drones, fire drones, ambulances, agricultural drones, and others. The problems of the stability of unmanned drones, which can be self-controlled, are also the biggest challenge to be solved along the development of the drone industry. drones should be able to fly in the specified path the autonomous flight control system sets, and perform automatically an accurate landing at the destination. This study proposes a technique to check arrival by landing point images and control landing at the correct point, compensating for errors in location data of the drone sensors and GPS. Receiving from the Google Map API and learning from the destination video, taking images of the landing point with a drone equipped with a NAVIO2 and Raspberry Pi, camera, sending them to the server, adjusting the location of the drone in line with threshold, Drones can automatically land at the landing point.
