  • In the present day context of changing information needs of the farmers and diversified production systems there is an urgent need to look for the effective extension support system for the small and marginal farmers in the developing countries like India. The rapid developments in the collection and analysis of field data by using the spatial technologies like GPS&GIS were made available for the extension functionaries and clientele for the diversified information needs. This article describes the GIS and GPS based decision support system in precision agriculture for the resource poor farmers. Precision farming techniques are employed to increase yield, reduce production costs, and minimize negative impacts to the environment. The parameters those can affect the crop yields, anomalous factors and variations in management practices can be evaluated through this GPS and GIS based applications. The spatial visualisation capabilities of GIS technology interfaced with a relational database provide an effective method for analysing and displaying the impacts of Extension education and outreach projects for small and marginal farmers in precision agriculture. This approach mainly benefits from the emergence and convergence of several technologies, including the Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information system (GIS), miniaturised computer components, automatic control, in-field and remote sensing, mobile computing, advanced information processing, and telecommunications. The PPP convergence of person (farmer), project (the operational field) and pixel (the digital images related to the field and the crop grown in the field) will better be addressed by this decision support model. So the convergence and emergence of such information will further pave the way for categorisation and grouping of the production systems for the better extension delivery. In a big country like India where the farmers and holdings are many in number and diversified categorically such grouping is inevitable and also economical. With this premise an attempt has been made to develop a precision farming model suitable for the developing countries like India.

  • With the proliferation of artificial intelligence technology, it is becoming important to obtain, store, and utilize scientific data in research and science sectors. A number of methods for extracting meaningful objects such as graphs and tables from research articles have been proposed to eventually obtain scientific data. Existing extraction methods using heuristic approaches are hardly applicable to electronic documents having heterogeneous manuscript formats because they are designed to work properly for some targeted manuscripts. This paper proposes a prototype of an object extraction system which exploits a recent deep-learning technology so as to overcome the inflexibility of the heuristic approaches. We implemented our trained model, based on the Faster R-CNN algorithm, using the Google TensorFlow Object Detection API and also composed an annotated data set from 100 research articles for training and evaluation. Finally, a performance evaluation shows that the proposed system outperforms a comparator adopting heuristic approaches by 5.2%.

  • P&ID((Piping and Instrument Diagram) is a key drawing in the engineering industry because it contains information about the units and instrumentation of the plant. Until now, simple repetitive tasks like listing symbols in P&ID drawings have been done manually, consuming lots of time and manpower. Currently, a deep learning model based on CNN(Convolutional Neural Network) is studied for drawing object detection, but the detection time is about 30 minutes and the accuracy is about 90%, indicating performance that is not sufficient to be implemented in the real word. In this study, the detection of symbols in a drawing is performed using 1-stage object detection algorithms that process both region proposal and detection. Specifically, build the training data using the image labeling tool, and show the results of recognizing the symbol in the drawing which are trained in the deep learning model.

  • In this paper, we proposed the methodology for security testing using block-based file fault injection. When fault is inserted into software, we consider the format of file in order to efficiently reduce the error that is caused by mismatch of format of file. The Vulnerability the methodology focuses on is related to memory processing, such as buffer overflow, null pointer reference and so on. We implemented the automatic tool to apply the methodology to image file format and named the tool ImageDigger. We executed fault-injection focused on WMF and EMF file format using ImageDigger, and found 10 DOS(Denial of Service) in Windows Platform. This methodology can apply to block-based file format such as MS Office file.

  • Recently, due to COVID-19, studies have been popularly worked to apply neural network to mask wearing automatic detection system. For applying neural networks, the 1-stage detection or 2-stage detection methods are used, and if data are not sufficiently collected, the pretrained neural network models are studied by applying fine-tuning techniques. In this paper, the system is consisted of 2-stage detection method that contain MTCNN model for face recognition and ResNet model for mask detection. The mask detector was experimented by applying five ResNet models to improve accuracy and fps in various environments. Training data used 17,217 images that collected using web crawler, and for inference, we used 1,913 images and two one-minute videos respectively. The experiment showed a high accuracy of 96.39% for images and 92.98% for video, and the speed of inference for video was 10.78fps.

  • The automatic defect sorting function of machinery parts is being introduced to the automation of the manufacturing process. In the final stage of automation of the manufacturing process, it is necessary to apply computer vision rather than human visual judgment to determine whether there is a defect. In this paper, we introduce a deep learning method to improve the classification performance of typical mechanical parts, such as welding parts, galvanized round plugs, and electro galvanized nuts, based on the results of experiments. In the case of poor welding, the method to further increase the depth of layer of the basic deep learning model was effective, and in the case of a circular plug, the surrounding data outside the defective target area affected it, so it could be solved through an appropriate pre-processing technique. Finally, in the case of a nut plated with zinc, since it receives data from multiple cameras due to its three-dimensional structure, it is greatly affected by lighting and has a problem in that it also affects the background image. To solve this problem, methods such as two-dimensional connectivity were applied in the object segmentation preprocessing process. Although the experiments suggested that the proposed methods are effective, most of the provided good/defective images data sets are relatively small, which may cause a learning balance problem of the deep learning model, so we plan to secure more data in the future.

  • In this paper, by applying IoT technology to the Ultimate game, which is one of the games using Flyingdisc, the process of the game is traced based on the players and the flyingdisc, and a comprehensive relationship analysis between players is performed on the results of the game. A WiFi module with built-in GPS is attached in the players and flyingdisc. The player's ID, latitude/longitude values received from GPS and time are stored in the database in realtime during the game. Process informations of the game is also stored in the database at the same time using mobile Ultimate game App. Based on this informations after the game is over, we developed a system that can perform comprehensive analysis of the game contents. By using the informations stored in the database, the player-based game process and the flyingdisc-based scoring process are visualized in the virtual playground. Various game result informations for players are graphically analyzed using Python.

  • As the amount of time that elementary school students spend online increased due to Corona 19, the amount of posts, comments, and chats they write increased, and problems such as offending others' feelings or using swear words are occurring. Netiquette is being educated in elementary school, but training time is insufficient. In addition, it is difficult to expect changes in student behavior. So, technical support through natural language processing is needed. In this study, an experiment was conducted to automatically filter profanity sentences by applying them to a pre-trained language model on sentences written by elementary school students. In the experiment, chat details of elementary school 4-6 graders were collected on an online learning platform, and general sentences and profanity sentences were trained through a pre-learned language model. As a result of the experiment, as a result of classifying profanity sentences, it was analyzed that the precision was 75%. It has been shown that if the learning data is sufficiently supplemented, it can be sufficiently applied to the online platform used by elementary school students.

  • The purpose of this study is to build and evaluate a high-resolution (50 m) KMAPP (Korea Meteorological Administration Post Processing) reflecting building data. KMAPP uses LDAPS (Local Data Assimilation and Prediction System) data to detail ground wind speed through surface roughness and elevation corrections. During the detailing process, we improved the vegetation roughness data to reflect the impact of city buildings. AWS (Automatic Weather Station) data from a total of 48 locations in the metropolitan area including Seoul in 2019 were used as the observation data used for verification. Sensitivity analysis was conducted by dividing the experiment according to the method of improving the vegetation roughness length. KMAPP has been shown to improve the tendency of LDAPS to over simulate surface wind speeds. Compared to LDAPS, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) is improved by approximately 23% and Mean Bias Error (MBE) by about 47%. However, there is an error in the roughness length around the Han River or the coastline. Accordingly, the surface roughness length was improved in KMAPP and the building information was reflected. In the sensitivity experiment of improved KMAPP, RMSE was further improved to 6% and MBE to 3%. This study shows that high-resolution KMAPP reflecting building information can improve wind speed accuracy in urban areas.
