Design of an Automatic Synthesis System for Datapaths Based on Multiport Memories (다중포트 메모리를 지원하는 데이터패스 자동 합성 시스템의 설계)

  • In this pape, we propose a graph-theoretic approach for solving the allocation problem for the synthesis of datapaths based on multiport memories. An efficient algorithm is devised by using the weighted bipartite matching algorithm to assign variables to each port of memory modules. The proposed algorithm assigns program variables into a minimum number of multiport memory modules such that usage of memory elements and interconnection cost can be kept minimal. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm generates the datapaths with fewer registers in memory modules and less interconnection cost for several benchmarks available from the literatures.

  • High pressure. high temperature steam/water blowdown test loop has been constructed. The loop simulates a pressurizer. depressurizalion system and In-Containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST) with full pressure and temperature conditions. and will be used to generate data for development of an optimal sparser as well as for design of safety/automatic depressurization system. In addition. experiments for reactor safety and pressurizer thermal hydraulics are scheduled. In this paper. general description of the Blowdown and Condensation (B&C) Loop will be given together with the test program.

  • In this paper, a simple parallel compiler of a sequential loop is presented. This is a procedure for the automatic conversion of a sequential loop into a nested parallel DOALL loops at compile time. For this. the source program of Parafrase II parallel compiler is analyzed and a new general method the extracting parallelism in order to parallel processing effectively in nested loop is implemented.

  • This paper is to present a selected method of circuit parameters in the inverter part of the electronic dimming ballast for fluorescent lamps, that is adequate to use with the prevailing dimming controller IC. Through the experiment result using the prototype of the electronic dimming ballast produced by this method, its validity is verified from the electrical and light output characteristics on fluorescent lamps. Also, it is feasible to remote automatic and passive control fur dimming electronic ballast as using a microprocessor, and we easily recognize the lamp condition owing to make a program indicate abnormal behavior for fluorescent lamp at PC screen.

  • In this paper, We designed a 2-stage amplifier for transponder of satellite with dual GaAs FETs NE13783, and performed the worst-case analysis for circuit qualification in the space environment. The bandwidth of amplifier was chosen 11.7-12.2 GHz which is the down link frequency band for domestic Ku-band satellite communication, and the alumina substrate with 25 mil of thickness. The design and optimization of amplifier was achieved by the commercial CAD program TOUCHSTONE and the measurement was performed through the automatic network analyzer.

  • One of the problems we frequently face during the ROK and US Combined operations is the English Military abbreviations because they often causes a lot of confusion. Many military abbreviations we generated, changed, and disappeared, so it is very hard to figure out their meaning sometimes. This system is designed to make it easier to register, alter, and find out English abbreviations through hypermedia techniques, which is utilizing nonsequential and direct search system similar to human sensory organs. So this enables us to keep up with the latest abbreviations. It is also designed to overcome mutual communications barriers by audio-visual aids through the graphic and phonetic functions of the program, and to test users via a random selection of questions.

  • In this paper, Verification of the qualitatively identical relationships existing between simulation data and experimental results allowed for a new analysis procedure of a planetary gear set -- in an automatic transmission -- to be conducted. Tooth profiles were found to be crucial to the gear mesh forces of the planetary gear set. Based on Kahraman's Model, dynamic resonances of the planetary gear set were found to be out of operating range. Most importantly, a 2DPLANETARY FEM program, an innovative design tool for planetary gear sets, was utilized.

  • Effective cost management requires reliable cost estimates at every stage of project development. The primary purpose of this research is to develop systematic modeling procedures and an automatic computing program for infrastructure estimating in the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The computing system toggles between project input information and segregated district unit prices for highway work item quantity estimates associated with earthwork and landscape, subgrade treatments and base, surface courses and pavement, structures, miscellaneous construction, and lighting, signing, markings and signals. This quantity-based approach was chosen because of the conventional approach lacking of quantity information until primary design is complete.

  • In this paper, the research contents and results related to the automation of the hull-form optimal design of container ships are summarized. A container ship is a ship that generally operates near Froude number of 0.26. To implement hull-form optimal design automation for ships operating at this speed, an optimization algorithm, a hull-form change algorithm, a ship performance prediction algorithm, an automation algorithm, and an iterative calculation technique were applied to develop a numerical analysis computer program that enables hull-form optimal design automation of the container ship, and it was named HOTCONTAINER. In this study, a sensitivity analysis algorithm was developed and applied to appropriately set design variables for hull-form optimal design. To understand the reliability and real ship applicability of the developed algorithm, a numerical analysis was performed on KCS(KRISO Container Ship), a container ship that has been studied in various ways worldwide. Consequently, the optimal ship was derived, and the wave resistance, wave pattern, and wave height of the target and optimal ship were compared. In conclusion, compared the target ship, the optimal ship a 47.63% decrease in wave resistance, and the displacement and wet surface area decreased by 0.50% and 0.39%, respectively.

Research on Wave-Making Resistance Reduction Technology for Container Ships (컨테이너선의 조파저항 감소 기술에 대한 연구)

  • This paper aimed to summarize research on technologies that could efficiently reduce wave-making resistance of container ships. Tto develop wave resistance reduction technology that could be applied to container ships and use it in real ship design, hull-form optimal design was performed by applying optimization algorithms, hull-form change algorithms, ship performance prediction algorithms, automation algorithms, and iterative optimal design techniques. A computer program was also developed. To properly set design variables known to be important elements in hull-form optimal design and to efficiently set lower and upper limits of design variables, a sensitivity analysis algorithm was developed and applied to hull-form optimal design. To predict the reliability and applicability of the developed computer program for real ships, hull-form optimal design was performed for a KRISO Container Ship (KCS), a container ship with various studies conducted worldwide. Hull-form optimal design was performed at Fn=0.26, the design speed of the KCS ship. Numerical analysis was performed on the hull-form of the target ship, the KCS ship, and the hull-form of the ship derived as a result of the hull-form optimal design to determine wave resistance, wave system, and wave height. The optimal ship's wave resistance was found to be reduced by 80.60% compared to the target ship. The displacement and wetted surface area were also found to be reduced by 1.54% and 1.21%, respectively.
