  • The auto-collimation by using theodolite has been accomplished for the straight measurement and the horizontality adjustment. But according to the procedure of auto-collimation or composition of the measurement equipment, an error of the measurement can be occurred. Therefore, this paper accomplished the research for enhancement of measurement accuracy according to measurement procedure of auto-collimation. For that, it has been compared the study of the combination of several precise measurement equipment with using of several theodolite.

자동배수형 무게식 강수량계 개발 및 강우량 측정 성능검사 (Development of Auto-Empting Type Weighing Precipitation Gauge and Performance Test on Rainfall Measurement)

  • The weighing precipitation gauge with auto-empting capability was developed in the R&D project organized by the Research Agency for Climate Science (RACS) and supported by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). This project was initiated in line with the KMA's plan executed since 2010 to introduce the weighing precipitation gauges partly into of their Automatic Weather Station (AWS) network in order to upgrade the quality of precipitation data. The innovative feature of this research is that the auto-empting in weighing precipitation gauge is realized by abrupt rotation of receiving container. The prototype was tested in compliance with the relevant standards of KMA. The results of performance test on rainfall measurement in laboratory verified that the accuracies for 20 mm and 100 mm reference rainfall amount were 0.1 mm and 0.4 mm, respectively in both conditions of auto-empting and no-empting. During the rotation of container for auto-empting, the data was extrapolated smoothly by applying the same precipitation intensity of the previous 10 sec. Consequently, it was found that the auto-empting precipitation gauge developed in this research is quite enough to be used for the operational purpose of accurate measurement with 0.1 mm resolution, regardless of the precipitation intensity.

  • 유도전동기의 센서리스 벡터제어 방식은 선동기 등가모델을 이용하는 경우가 대부분이다. 따라서 센서리스 벡터 제어 기능을 갖는 인버터에 전동기 상수의 자동 측정 가능은 필수적이며, 전동기 상수 측정의 정밀도가 센서리스 벡터제어 인버터의 성능에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 자동 측정 방법에 있어서의 문제점을 고찰하고, 이를 보완한 새로운 유도전동기 상수 측정 방법을 제시한다.

  • The Auto-synchronizer is essential equipment for synchronizing a generator to the power system. It is performing that measurement of the magnitude, frequency and phase of the voltage signal of the power system and generator. It is important to select the appropriate measurement algorithm for preventing various problem such as mechanical stress and Electrical problem. Teager Energy Operator(TEO) and Discrete separation algorithm(DESA) is measurable the instantaneous parameters of a sine wave using 5 samples and can be measured at a fast and with a simple operation. Therefore it has many advantages in measuring the parameters. In this paper, it confirmed measurement results using matlab simulations when there are synchronized in order of frequency, magnitude. Also it presented methods using digital filters and sample intervals to improve accuracy.

  • A crack in concrete structure gives trouble to safety of building and human life. This study gives that development of auto extract system in a structure crack by digital image impersonal method for extract structure crack. This system will be possible to impersonal measurement for old concrete building and structure. For this auto extract system, used geometry of high resolution digital image and crack line extract by relation based image matching method. Now to conclude, this auto extract system gives a method that a quick measurement of building crack, hold objectivity in result, makes standardization for acquirement data, optimization result of measurement.

A New Application of Human Visual Simulated Images in Optometry Services

  • Due to the rapid advancement of auto-refractor technology, most optometry shops provide refraction services. Despite their speed and convenience, the measurement values provided by auto-refractors include a significant degree of error due to psychological and physical factors. Therefore, there is a need for repetitive testing to obtain a smaller mean error value. However, even repetitive testing itself might not be sufficient to ensure accurate measurements. Therefore, research on a method of measurement that can complement auto-refractor measurements and provide confirmation of refraction results needs to be conducted. The customized optometry model described herein can satisfy the above requirements. With existing technologies, using human eye measurement devices to obtain relevant individual optical feature parameters is no longer difficult, and these parameters allow us to construct an optometry model for individual eyeballs. They also allow us to compute visual images produced from the optometry model using the CODE V macro programming language before recognizing the diffraction effects visual images with the neural network algorithm to obtain the accurate refractive diopter. This study attempts to combine the optometry model with the back-propagation neural network and achieve a double check recognition effect by complementing the auto-refractor. Results show that the accuracy achieved was above 98% and that this application could significantly enhance the service quality of refraction.

  • A high performance EEG signal measurement system is fabricated. It consists of high precision pre-amplifier and auto identification bandwidth unit. High precision pre-amplifier is composed of signal generator, signal amplifier with a impedance converter, body driver and isolation amplifier. The pre-amplifier is designed for low noise characteristics, high CMRR, high input impedance, high IMRR and safety, Auto identification bandwidth unit is composed of AD-converter and PIC micro-controller for real time processing EEG signal. The performance of EEG signal measurement system has been shown the classified bandwidth through the clinical demonstrations.

수직벽을 가진 자동차 부품 성형공정의 스프링백 유한요소 해석 (Finite Element Springback Analysis of Vertically-Walled Auto-Body Part)

  • A vertically-walled auto-body part is one of the most difficult stamping parts because of angle change, wall curl, and twisting of the blank after springback as well as fracture and wrinkle. In this study, computational simulations of the vertically-walled auto-body part are carried out focusing on angle change, wall curl, and twisting after springback. Binderwrap blank shape is used in forming analysis for precise initial contacts between punch and blank. An adaptive mesh method is used in springback analysis for precise calculation of bending moments. In springback analysis, the differences of 2 and 3 dimensional analysis are compared and the effects of blank holdig force and friction coefficient are evaluated. In order to verify the validity of simulation results, they are compared with measured ones. The predicted thickness distribution and formed shape are agreed well with those of the measurement. The Predicted springback amount is less than that of the measurement.

Auto-Measurement of Induction Motor Parameters

  • This paper presents the parameter measurement methods for high performance drive of induction motors, which are suitable for the self-commissioning function of commercial inverters. In this study, some factors that affect the accuracy of parameter measurement are examined. Measuring methods and conditions that are best fit to each parameter measurement procedure are then proposed. All the measurement procedures can be done without any auxiliary equipment, so that those can be easily adopted as self-commissioning functions of commercial inverters. To improve the measuring accuracy, least square approximation methods are adopted during the measurement procedure. The validity of the proposed methods are confirmed through experiments.
