  • Computer technology pursuing more innovative image than before, makes some characteristics which distinguishes the digital fiction film from the analogue fiction film. One hand, the split screen in analogue film aides the development of drama in the aspect of narrative, on the other hand, it controls the psychology of spectator. The composite image in digital fiction film by computer graphic, and elaborated digital editing show many innovation in the field of audiovisual. In this context, I would like to remark on the digital film (2003) directed by Ang-Lee. In , the split screen and the composition of the fast transiition of shots in the scene of laboratory were created by computer graphic program for special effects. As visual special effect plays an important role in digital film, its narrative space creates a space which is distinguishable from that of analogue film. This can be an example which says a lot for the special aspect of digital narrative.

  • The development of the internet, which is due to the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, has been slowly affecting our lives. Based on this trend, various products have recently emerged, and have yet to be developed in the context of identifying the dangers of infant babies. Increasingly, children are experiencing problems with detecting and responding to children's lives because of their daily living noise and housekeeping activities. This project attempts to develop a raspberry pie and an audiovisual sensor module to avoid the risk of preventing unwanted behavior from tripping the child's sudden behavior in everyday life. Further, it was designed to provide convenience to the guardian's convenience by implementing the smartphone app with the Wifi signal.

  • Background: The objective of this article is to make some analysis on the process of work and accidents occurring in slaughterhouses, evidenced in the Brazilian documentary film called Flesh and Bone. As such, it was necessary to discuss an alternative theoretical concept in relation to theories about health and safety at work. This alternative discussion focuses on the concepts of biopower and biopolitics. Methods: The use of audiovisual elements in research is not new, and there is already a branch of studies with methodological and epistemological variations. The Brazilian documentary Flesh and Bone was the basis for the research. The analysis of this documentary will be carried out from two complementary perspectives: "textual analysis" and "discourse analysis." Results: Flesh and Bone presents problems related to health and safety at work in slaughterhouses because of the constant exposure of workers to knives, saws, and other sharp instruments in the workplace. The results show that in favor of higher production levels, increased overseas market sales, and stricter quality controls, some manufacturers resort to various practices that often result in serious injuries, disposal, and health damages to workers. Conclusion: Flesh and Bone, by itself, makes this explicit in the form of denunciation based on the situation of these workers. What it does not make clear is that, in the context of biopolitics, the actions aimed at solving these problems or even reducing the negative impacts for this group of workers, are not efficient enough to change such practices.
