광고유형, 브랜드 전형성, 인지욕구가 광고태도에 미치는 영향 - 아웃도어 의류 브랜드를 중심으로 - (The Effect of Advertisement Type, Brand Typicality and Need for Cognition on Attitude toward Advertisement Intention - Focused on Outdoor Apparel Brands -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of comparative advertisement brand typicality and need for recognition in outdoor apparel market. This study was created with a mixed factorial design of 2 (Advertisement types: Comparative advertisement vs. General advertisement) X 2(Brand Typicality: High Brand vs. Low Brand) X 2 (Need for Cognition: High vs. Low). The results of this study are as follows: First, it was shown that comparative advertisement had a greater positive influence on attitudes toward advertising intentions in comparison to general advertisements. Second, while comparative advertisement was more effective than general advertisement for outdoor apparel brands with low typicality. Third, consumers with higher need for cognition showed a preferred attitude toward advertising intention when met with comparative advertising in contrast to general advertisement. Fourth, when consumers with higher needs for cognition were exposed to advertisement for brands of lower typicality, there was higher positive influence on the attitudes toward advertisement intention with comparative advertisement in comparison to general advertisement. This means the comparative advertisement may be effective for the new garment brand or the garment brands having low typicality to secure the cognition quickly from the consumers having high need for cognition.

패션 복제품 태도가 명품 브랜드 관련 변인에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effect of Attitude toward Fashion Counterfeits on Variables Related to Luxury Brand)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of attitudes toward fashion counterfeits on brand attachment and equity. Four hundred-eight female college students in Seoul and its suburb responded for this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and multiple regression were used for this study. The results of this study were as follows. First, attitude toward fashion counterfeits was classified into three factors such as goodwill, approve of purchase, and counterfeit quality factors. Second, brand attachment was classified into four factors such as love, interest, perception and trust factors. Third, brand equity was classified into five factors such as loyalty, quality, image and recognition factors. Generally, attitudes toward fashion counterfeits factors were correlated with lower scores on brand attachment and brand equity. Finally, the results revealed that attitudes toward fashion counterfeits had a negative effect on brand attachment and equity. Brand attachment had a positive effect on brand equity, and also brand attachment and brand equity had a positive effect on purchasing intention. Based on these results, fashion brand marketing strategies would be suggested.

도시특성평가가 도시브랜드개성과 도시태도에 미치는 영향에 대한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Study on the Effects of City characteristics on City Brand Personality and City Evaluation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 도시브랜드 개성의 원인변수를 탐색하고, 도시브랜드 개성이 도시태도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 아직까지 도시브랜드와 관련한 선행 연구가 미흡하여, 도시브랜드와 관련한 변수들의 인과관계를 탐색적으로 연구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 1) 선행 연구결과를 종합하여 도시를 평가하기 위한 평가특성을 정리하고, 2) 도시의 개성적 요인을 살펴본 후, 3) 도시특성, 도시개성, 도시 평가와의 구조적 관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 도시의 문화 역사성과 생활 안정성은 도시의 역동적 개성에는 부정적인 영향을 미치지만, 안정적 개성에는 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 도시의 시설 편리성 및 경제적 풍요성이 높을수록 도시가 역동적인 것으로 인식한 반면, 도시의 환경 친화성이 높을수록 도시가 안정적인 것으로 인식하였다. 아울러 경관 이미지는 역동성과 안정성에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 교양 교육성은 역동적 개성과 안정적 개성 모두에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 도시의 역동적 개성과 안정적 개성은 모두 도시 평가에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이 두 가지 도시 브랜드 개성은 도시특성과 도시태도를 매개하는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

의류광고의 소구유형에 따른 소비자의 태도 연구 (Causal Relationships on Consumer Attitude Toward the Types of Fashion Advertising Appeal)

  • The purpose of this study were to identify the types of consumer responses and to investigate the attitude formation process toward the fashion advertising. A consusmer attitude model for the fashion advertising and to select relevant variables. A consumer attitude model was composed of the prior brand attitude, the consumer re, ;posses (affective, cognitive) the advertising attitude, the brand attitude, and the purchase intention paradigm. The result of this study were as follows: 1. Consumer responses on the fashion advertising were distingished between affective response and cognitive responses and the degree of responses differed by the advertising appeals types (emotional advertising, sex appeal advertising and product attribute advertising). 2. The main casual course of the fashion advertising was that the prior brand attitude $\rightarrow$ the consumer responses (affective, congnitive) $\rightarrow$ the advertising attitude $\rightarrow$ the brand attitude $\rightarrow$ the purcha, ie intention. These attitude formation process was differed by the advertising appeals types. Finally, consumer responses on the fashion advertising were disinguished beween affective responses and congitive responses, and were affected to advertising attitude, brand attitude, purchase intention. These consumer attitude formation process was differed by the advertising appeals.

  • Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles Vol. 19, No. 6 (1995) p. 887~894 The purpose of this study were to reveal the relationships among the consumer's advertising involvement toward each related variables (the prior brand attitude, the consumer responses, the advertising attitude, the brand attitude, and the purchase intention). Also it were to identify these variables differences according to mediated roles of product use experiences. The result of this study were as follows: 1. Consumer advertising involvement were composed of five dimentions; the hedonic involvement, social involvement, utilitarian involovement, perceived risk involvement, and comfortable involvement. 2. There were significant relationships among the five dimentions, such as advertising involvement, the prior brand attitude, the advertising attitude, the brand attitude, and the purchase intention, according to the types of advertising appeal. 3. The related variables were significant differences according to the consumer's product use experiences.

Roles of Social Identity Verification in the Effects of Symbolic and Evaluation Relevance on Chinese Consumers' Brand Attitude

  • Purpose - Current study aimed at investigating the symbolic and evaluation relevance to global luxury brands as the causes of inducing social identity verification, and also explored whether the social identity verification will affect the attitude toward the brands. Research design, data, and methodology - 323 questionaries from Chinese consumers were used to test hypotheses by structural equation model of AMOS 22.0. Results - First, social identity verification positively affected on the brand attitude. Second, both the symbolic relevance and the evaluation relevance positively affected on social identity verification. Third, the mediation roles of social identity verification were identified. Social identity verification played a full mediation role in the effect of the symbolic relevance on the brand attitude, and played a partial mediation role in the effect of the evaluation relevance on the brand attitude. Conclusions - This study could contribute to the advancement of theory concerned with the roles of consumers' social identity verification which induces positive attitude toward the global luxury brands. Global brand managers in China should try to search ways by which consumers can feel both the symbolic relevance and evaluation relevance to their luxury brands, and should make efforts to improve the symbolic relevance and evaluation relevance to their brand.

모브랜드 제품-확장브랜드 제품간 유사성이 확장제품평가에 미치는 영향 - 프랜차이즈 브랜드를 중심으로 - (Influence of Product Similarity between Parent Brand and Extended Brand on Extended Product Evaluation - Focus on Franchise Brand -)

  • 본 연구는 프랜차이즈 브랜드가 다양한 제품군으로 브랜드를 확장하는 상황에서 모브랜드 제품과 확장브랜드 제품간 유사성 차이를 살펴보고, 각 확장제품과 모브랜드 제품간 유사성이 확장브랜드에 대한 태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명해 보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 제품간 유사성은 확장제품에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 또한, 유사성이 높은 제품과 낮은 제품간 인식적 태도 및 행동적 태도를 살펴 본 결과, 유사성이 높은 제품은 인식적 태도, 행동적 태도 모두 높게 나타났다. 한편, 음식속성 유사성이 기술적 유사성에 비해 태도에 미치는 영향이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과들은 프랜차이즈 브랜드의 브랜드확장전략에 있어서 중요한 시사점을 제시해 준다.

광고 태도와 VMD 태도가 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향 - 스포츠웨어를 중심으로 - (The Effect of the Attitude toward the Advertising and the Attitude toward the Visual Merchandising on the Attitude toward the Brand - Focused on Sports Wear -)

  • This study examined the correlation between the attitude toward the advertising($A_a$) and the attitude toward the VMD(Visual Merchandising)($A_{VMD}$), and the effect of $A_a$ and $A_{VMD}$ on the attitude toward the brand($A_b$) in sports wear market. 287 questionnaires were distributed to 20's male and female, and 284 respondents were used for the analysis. To analyze the data, we used the structural equation model, LISREL 8.0. The key points of the result were as follows: 1) $A_a\;and\;A_{VMD}$ influenced each other, and the effect of $A_{VMD}\;on\;A_a$ was bigger than the effect of $A_a\;on\;A_{VMD}$. 2) Both $A_a\;and\;A_{VMD}$ affected $A_b$ directly, and the effect of $A_{VMD}\;on\;A_b$ was bigger than the effect of $A_a\;on\;A_b$. 3) $A_b$ create by $A_a$ could be changed by the mediating effect of $A_{VMD}$, but $A_b$ created by $A_{VMD}$ could not be changed by the mediating effect of $A_a$. 4) The indirect effect of $A_a\;on\;A_b$ through $A_{VMD}$ was bigger than the direct effect of $A_a\;on\;A_b$. 5) $A_b$ affected the purchase intention directly in a positive way.

다중원산지와 가격정보가 청바지 상표태도와 제품평가에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Multiple Country-of-Origin Cues and Price Information on Attitude toward the Brard and Evaluation of Jean Products)

  • As imported fashion products are increasing in the marketplace, country of origin information becomes a powerful product cue that can be used to gain competitive advantages of fashion brands. This study assessed the impact of multiple country of o.igin information(origin of brand and origin of production) on attitude toward the brand and product evaluation. Especially, the influence product price level was also examined. Jean was used as product stimuli and students were respondents for the empirical study. Results of this study affirmed the importance of country of brand origin and price information in brand attitude formation and product evaluation. Country of brand origin information and interaction effects of brand origin-price were significant for brand attitude formation. Country of brand origin and price information had significant influence on evaluation of Jean products.

뷰티브랜드 확장상황에서 희석효과 -전형성에 기초한 브랜드 확장 시 모브랜드의 지식이 전이 되었는가?- (The Effect of Dilution on Beauty Brand Extension Situation -Was Parent Brand's Knowledge Transferred to Brand Extension by Typicality?-)

  • The potential for brand dilution occurs when new brands merge with an identical image of a parent brand. Despite the significant attention regarding the effects of dilution on brand extension, there is limited research on brand dilution in the beauty industry. This study analyzes the effect of the typicality of extensional type on brand attitude or purchase intention for potential dilution toward beauty brand extension. In addition, we examine the moderating effect of knowledge transfer when customers evaluate the typicality of the extensional type for potential dilution toward beauty brand extensions. For the experiment, 4 description type factorial designs were performed. A total of 219 students participated in the experiment who had experience of visiting a beauty salon. The results are as follows. First, there are significant independent and interaction effects between the typicality and extensional type that reveals differential influences on the attitude or purchase intentions toward extended beauty brands. Second, the knowledge of the parent brand is transferred to extended brands. Third, there is a significant moderating effect of knowledge transfer, as customers evaluate the typicality of the extensional type for the potential dilution toward beauty brand extension. This study provides some theoretical and practical perspectives with some limitations.
