충전 특성과 어텐션 기반 LSTM을 활용한 개선된 리튬이온 배터리 SOH 예측 모델 (Improved SOH Prediction Model for Lithium-ion Battery Using Charging Characteristics and Attention-Based LSTM)

  • 최근 리튬이온 배터리 사용이 늘어남에 따라 배터리 화재 및 사고 예방의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 사고 예방을 위해서는 배터리 SOH(State of Health)를 예측하여 열화가 많이 진행된 배터리의 교체 시기를 확인하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 배터리의 충전 과정에서 얻을 수 있는 최대 전압 도달 시간, 전류 변화 시간, 최대 온도 도달 시간, IC(Incremental Capacity) 등 4가지 배터리 열화 특성과 어텐션 메커니즘을 이용한 장단기 메모리(Long Short Term Memory, LSTM)를 사용하여 배터리의 열화 상태를 예측하는 모델을 제안한다. NASA에서 제공하는 배터리 데이터 세트를 사용해 제안하는 모델의 성능을 측정한 결과 일반적인 LSTM 모델을 사용하는 경우보다 예측성능의 개선을 확인할 수 있었고, 특히 배터리 교체 주기에 가까운 SOH 90-70% 구간에서 더 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • 정보통신 기술의 발전과 광범위한 통신망의 이용으로 인하여, 최근 생존성을 갖는 메쉬기반 네트워크의 설계는 주요 관심사가 되고 있다. 본 논문은 메쉬기반 광전송망에서의 예비용량 설계방안에 대해 논의한다. 본 연구에서는 메쉬기반 광전송망의 경로복구에 있어서, 예비용량 증가인자를 찾아 예비용량의 공유를 증가시키는 새로운 예비용량 설계방안을 제안한다. 정수계획법의 링크복구기법, SLPA, GA의 세 가지 다른 장애복구 방안과 더불어 제안한 방안의 성능을 비교한다. 이 방법은 예비 용량 할당을 결정하는데 있어서 휴리스틱 알고리즘과 결합하여 보다 우수한 성능을 보이고 있으며, 예비용량 할당을 결정하는 시간적인 면에서 대형 통신망으로 쉽게 확장할 수 있다. 이 새로운 방법의 주요 장점은 예비용량을 줄이고 다항식의 시간 복잡도를 갖는 것이다.

  • 흡수역량(absorptive capacity)에 관한 활발한 연구에도 불구하고 선 후진국 간의 빈부격차는 심화되고 있으며, 일부 성공사례를 제외하면 개발도상국의 기술혁신 역량의 향상은 기대수준에 미치지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 KIST 설립 사례를 분석하여 개발도상국 측의 흡수역량과 더불어 선진국 측의 새로운 역량이 필요함을 주장하고, 이를 '공유역량(transplanting capacity)'이라 명명 하였다. 기존 연구에서 밝혀진 흡수역량의 핵심요소, 즉 사전지식의 정도 및 노력의 강도에 대비되는 공유역량의 핵심요소로서 개발경험의 성문화(codification), 현지화(localization), 그리고 의지(committment)가 필요함을 제시하였다. 지구 온난화 및 감염성 질병 등 글로벌 이슈에 공동대처, IT기술의 발달 및 신생기술의 출현에 의한 개도국의 혁신 가능성 확대, 개도국 시장의 성장 가능성은 공유역량의 확보가 개도국지원 차원뿐만 아니라 선진국 자신을 위해서 반드시 갖추어야 할 역량임을 보여준다.

Reliability of analytical models for the prediction of out-of-plane capacity of masonry infills

  • The out-of-plane response of infill walls has recently gained a growing attention and has been recognised fundamental in the damage assessment of reinforced concrete and steel framed buildings subjected to seismic loads. The observation of damage after earthquakes highlighted that out-of-plane collapse of masonry infills may occur even during seismic events of low or moderate intensity, causing both casualty risks and unfavourable situations affecting the overall structural response. Even though studies concerning the out-of-plane behaviour of infills are not as many as those focused on the in-plane response, in the last decades, a substantial number of researches have been carried out on the out-of-plane behaviour of infills. In this study, the out-of-plane response is investigated considering different aspects. First, damages observed after past earthquakes are examined, with the aim of identifying the main parameters involved and the most critical configurations. Secondly, the response recorded in about 150 experimental tests is deeply examined, focusing on the influence of geometrical characteristics, boundary conditions, prior in-plane damage, presence of reinforcing elements and openings. Finally, different theoretical capacity models and code provisions are discussed and compared, giving specific attention to those based on the arching theory. The reliability of some of these models is herein tested with reference to experimental results. The comparison between analytically predicted and experimental values allows to appreciate the extent of approximation of such methods.

  • Attentional processes facilitate cognitive and behavioral performance in several ways. Attention serves to reduce the amount of information to receive. Attention enables humans to direct themselves to appropriate aspects of external environmental events and internal operations. Attention facilitates the selection of salient information and the allocation of cognitive processing appropriate to that information. Attention is not a unitary process that can be localized to a single neuroanatomical region. Before the cortical registration of sensory information, activation of important subcortical structures occurs, which is called as an orienting response. Once sensory information reaches the sensory cortex, a large number of perceptual processes occur, which provide various levels of perceptual resolution of the critical features of the stimuli. After this preattentional processing, information is integrated within higher cortical(heteromodal) systems in inferior parietal and temporal lobes. At this stage, the processing characteristics can be modified, and the biases of the system have a direct impact on attentional selection. Information flow has been traced through sensory analysis to a processing stage that enables the new information to be focused and modified in relation to preexisting biases. The limbic and paralimbic system play significant roles in modulating attentional response. It is labeled with affective salience and is integrated according to ongoing pressures from the motivational drive system of the hypothalamus. The salience of information greatly influences the allocation of attention. The frontal lobe operate response selection system with a reciprocal interaction with both the attention system of the parietal lobe and the limbic system. In this attentional process, the search with the spatial field is organized and a sequence of attentional responses is generated. Affective, motivational and appectitive impulses from limbic system and hypothalamus trigger response intention, preparation, planning, initiation and control of frontal lobe on this process. The reticular system, which produces ascending activation, catalyzes the overall system and increases attentional capacity. Also additional energetic pressures are created by the hypothalamus. As psychophysiological measurement, skin conductance, pupil diameter, muscle tension, heart rate, alpha wave of EEG can be used. Event related potentials also provide physiological evidence of attention during information process. NI component appears to be an electrophysiological index of selective attention. P3 response is developed during the attention related to stimulus discrimination, evaluation and response.

지역역량 강화에 영향을 미치는 주민참여 요소 분석 (Exploring Key Facts of Residents' Participation for Local Capacity Building)

  • 본 논문은 지역역량에 영향을 미치는 개인적인 요소 중 하나인 지역사회 활동에의 '참여 요소'를 검토하고자 한다. 지역활동에 참여하지 않던 주민이 어떤 경로를 통해 참여에 관심을 가지기 시작하고, 지속적으로 참여를 하게 되는지를 파악함으로써, 지역역량 강화를 위해서 주민참여의 수준을 높이는 방법을 모색하는 데 시사점을 제공하고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 목표이다. 심층면담을 통해, 본 연구에서는 참여를 끌어내고 지속시키기 위한 3가지 핵심 요소를 도출하였다. 첫째, 자신이 한 일에 대한 지역사회로부터의 인정, 즉 사회적 성취감을 느낄 수 있도록 하는 지역사회에서의 작은 참여, 둘째, 자신의 문제를 공유할 수 있다는 신뢰 관계의 구축, 셋째, 개인적인 이해(관심)를 지역 수준의 현안으로 확대시키는 노력이다.

Relation of Serum Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity with Metabolic Risk Factors in Human Volunteers

  • Oxygen radical absorbance capacity(ORAC) is known to be a sensitive and simple method to determine total antioxidant capacity(TAC) in biological samples. While TAC has received great attention with its relation to pathogenesis in the progression of several diseases, little is known about association of ORAC with metabolic risk factors. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between ORAC and serum lipid profiles, fasting glucose and anthropometric measures. One hundred seventeen volunteers participated in the study. Perchloric acid treated serum was used to determine $ORAC_{pca}$. Mean$ORAC_{pca}$ of subjects whose serum total cholesterol(TC) concentrations were $\geq$ 200 mg/dl was significantly(P < 0.05) higher than that of subjects whose TC concentrations were < 200mg/dl. There were significantly positive correlations between $ORAC_{pca}$ and serum concentrations of TC(P < 0.05) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol(P < 0.01). The positive relation between cholesterol concentrations and $ORAC_{pca}$ in serum may suggest an elevated TAC against oxidative stress associated with the cardiovascular risk factors. Large-scale pilot test study on bearing capacity of sea-crossing bridge main pier pile foundations

  • Due to the sea-crossing bridge span is generally large and main pier pile foundations are located in deep water and carry large vertical load, sea-crossing bridge main pier pile foundations bearing mechanism and load deformation characteristics are still vague. Authors studied the vertical bearing properties of sea-crossing bridge main pier pile foundations through pilot load tests. Large tonnage load test of Qingdao Bay Bridge main pier pile program is designed by using per-stressed technique to optimize the design of anchor pile reaction beam system. Test results show that the design is feasible and effective. This method can directly test bearing capacity of main pier pile foundations, and analysis bearing behaviors from test results of sensors which embedded in the pile. Through test study the vertical bearing properties of main pier pile foundation and compared with the generally short pile, author summarized the main pier pile foundations vertical bearing capacity and the main problem of design and construction which need to pay attention, and provide a reliable basis and experience for sea-crossing bridge main pier pile foundations design and construction.

지역사회 자발적 결사체의 연결망과 지역사회 역량 (The Network Analysis for Community Voluntary Organizations and Its Implication for Community Capacity Building Toward Health Promotion)

  • The paradigm of health promotion requests community participation and its active problem-solving. Community is conceptualized as a resource pool to be organized. Such resource is called community capacity. Community participation is a process of capacity building. Community voluntary associations are considered as valuable resource to be used for health promotion. This paper tried to identify the network structure among community voluntary associations and to infer the possibility to make such network of organizations participate in health promotion programs. Two survey data were used for this research: 1) Measurements and Evaluations of Community Capacity on Dobong-gu (N=94) 2) A development plan of health medicine service to be Healthy Gangdong-gu (N=69). The questionnaire included such variables measuring community capacity as leadership, membership, organizational resources, and inter-organizational network, etc. Both regions had the following common characteristics: 1) There were positive correlations between the organization's budget and membership. 2) Organizational types were associated with their founded years. Two regions showed the following differences: Dobong displayed the high density of community organizations, but Gangdong showed the low density. Dobong community organizations were able to be classified into three network clusters such as women & environments, youth & adolescent, and sports organizations. Each cluster of organizations favored the different type of health promotion programs. Gangdong community organizations were less developed, and not possible to be clustered. Depending upon the level of community capacity or community organizations' differentiation, the strategy of community participation could be settle down in different ways. Particularly the health agency had to pay more attention to support the growth of civil organizations.

BES를 사용한 에너지 절감형 양돈장의 지열히트펌프 적정 용량 산정 (Estimation of Adequate Capacity of Ground Source Heat Pump in Energy-saving Pig Farms Using Building Energy Simulation)

  • In Korea, attention is being paid to the use of renewable energy in the livestock industry, and Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP), which is advantageous for temperature control, is considered as one of the ways to reduce the use of fossil fuels. But GSHP is expensive to install, which proper capacity calculation is required. GSHP capacity is related to its maximum energy load. Energy loads are affected by climate characteristics and time, so dynamic analysis is required. In this study, the optimal capacity of GSHP was calculated by calculating the heating and cooling load of pig farms using BES (Building Energy Simulation) and economic analysis was performed. After designing the inside of the pig house using TRNSYS, one of the commercial programs of the BES technique, the energy load was calculated based on meteorological data. Through the calculated energy load, three heating devices and GSHP used in pig farms were analyzed for economic feasibility. As a result, GSHP's total cost of ownership was the cheapest, but the installation cost was the highest. In order to reduce the initial cost of GSHP, the capacity of GSHP was divided, and a scenario was created in which some of it was used as an auxiliary heating device, and economic analysis was conducted. In this study, a method to calculate the proper capacity of GSHP through dynamic energy analysis was proposed, and it can be used as data necessary to expand the spread of GSHP.
