자동화 컨테이너터미널의 이적작업에 관한 시뮬레이션 연구 (A Study on Simulation of Remarshalling Work in an Automated Container Terminal)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 자동화 컨테이너터미널의 ATC에 의한 이적작업의 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 자동화 컨테이너터미널은 수직배치의 장치장 형태이며 한 블록에서 반입, 반출, 양하, 적하의 네가지 작업이 발생하게 되므로 운영측면에서 장치장 할당이 매우 중요한 문제이다. 그러므로 효율적인 장치장 운영을 위해서 ATC에 의한 한 블록내에서의 이적작업이 반드시 필요하다. 시뮬레이션 실험을 통하여 이적작업의 효율성을 분석하고 장치장 할당에 관한 방법을 제시한다.

  • In Smart mobile devices embedding big.LITTLE architectures, the conventional multi-core assignment scheme for user applications may incur wasteful energy consumption and long response time. In this paper, we propose a user experience assisted energy-efficient multicore assignment scheme. Our simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves at 40% less energy consumption and at 20% less response time comparing to the legacy scheme.

맞춤형 야구복의 효율적 생산관리를 위한 공정관리 분석 (Process Control Analysis for Efficient Production Management of Customized Baseball Uniforms)

  • To increase the productivity and product quality of customized baseball jerseys, this study developed a multi-variable system for a production process that efficiently controls diverse production management factors. The working time was measured through the establishment of a standard process where skilled workers and Chinese factory workers manufactured 5 sets of the same basic design jerseys. Based on the measured working time (1,136 seconds/per unit), the multi-variable process control system was developed, where hourly production management is possible according to the involved workers and equipment types. Each process was assigned accoding to the production management factors for a total of 28 standard processes. The processes were developed based on consideration of work characteristics according to the order of needlework of open-type set baseball jerseys with sleeves(the basic design of baseball jerseys)to result in a customized production system structure that could be set up with multi-variables. As a result, a total 12 types of systems were developed in consideration of the personnel involved and the number of equipments. The optimal production management system (with the highest efficiency compared to the number of workers)was A-2, B-1, C-1. D-2, E-2, F-1, and G-1. This system had extremely high efficiency and showed 99% assignment efficiency for the 7-person team. Though not optimal, possible process assignment for each working personnel is proposed as a reserve process in case work modification is inevitable due to malfunctions and the absence of equipments.

조별과제 동료평가의 역효과 해결을 위한 직무배정 수업기법 (Teaching Method using Job Assignment as a Solution on the Adverse Effects of Peer Evaluation in Team-based Learning)

  • 본 연구에서는 조별과제 시 발생할 수 있는 무임승차자, 학생들 간의 갈등, 학생들 간의 적대감 형성 문제를 해결하기 위하여 직무배정을 통한 조별과제 수행방법을 제안한다. 특히, 직무배정을 통한 과제 수행이 조별과제에 대한 동료평가 시 발생하는 역효과를 개선할 수 있는지 고찰한다. 본 연구에서는 공학교육의 설계 교과목에서 학습자를 한 조당 일곱 명으로 구성하고, 조원 별로 각각 상이한 직무를 부여하여 한 학기 간 과제를 진행하였다. 결과적으로 변화된 조별과제 수행방법이 무임승차자, 학생들 간의 갈등, 학생들 간의 적대감 형성 문제에 미치는 영향을 학생들의 평가를 통해 고찰한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 직무배정을 통한 조별과제 수행 방법은 무임승차자 문제의 해결에 효과가 있었으며, 특히 동료평가 방법을 적용한 경우와 대비하여 학생들 간의 갈등 발생을 줄이고, 적대감 형성을 예방하는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문에서 제시한 조별과제 수행방법을 교육과정의 조별과제 수행 시 적용하면 과제 수행 과정의 효율성을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

An energy-efficiency approach for bidirectional amplified-and-forward relaying with asymmetric traffic in OFDM systems

  • Two-way relaying is an effective way of improving system spectral efficiency by making use of physical layer network coding. However, energy efficiency in OFDM-based bidirectional relaying with asymmetric traffic requirement has not been investigated. In this study, we focused on subcarrier transmission mode selection, bit loading, and power allocation in a multicarrier single amplified-and-forward relay system. In this scheme, each subcarrier can operate in two transmission modes: one-way relaying and two-way relaying. The problem is formulated as a mixed integer programming problem. We adopt a structural approximation optimization method that first decouples the original problem into two suboptimal problems with fixed subcarrier subsets and then finds the optimal subcarrier assignment subsets. Although the suboptimal problems are nonconvex, the results obtained for a single-tone system are used to transform them to convex problems. To find the optimal subcarrier assignment subsets, an iterative algorithm based on subcarrier ranking and matching is developed. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve system performance compared with conventional methods. Some interesting insights are also obtained via simulation.

통계적 모형의 업무부하 균일화를 통한 비즈니스 프로세스의 효율화 (Workload Balancing on Agents for Business Process Efficiency based on Stochastic Model)

  • BPMS (Business Process Management Systems) is aninformation system that systematically supports designing, administrating, and improving the business processes. It can execute the business processes by assigning tasks to human or computer agents according to the predefined definitions of the processes. In this research we developed a task assignment algorithm that can maximize overall process efficiency under the limitation of agents' capacity. Since BPMS manipulates the formal and predictable business processes, we can analyze the processes using queuing theory to achieve overall process efficiency. We first transform the business processes into queuing network model in which the agents are considered as servers. After that, workloads of agents are calculated as server utilization and we can determine the task assignment policy by balancing the workloads. This will make the workloads of all agents be minimized, and the overall process efficiency is achieved in this way. Another application of the results can be capacity planning of agents in advance and business process optimization in reengineering context. We performed the simulation analysis to validate the results and also show the effectiveness of the algorithm by comparing with well known dispatching policies.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력선통신 시스템에서 인공지능 기반 스펙트럼 할당 기법을 제안한다. 송신 신호의 주파수 대역은 스펙트럼 할당 기법을 통해서 조정이 가능하고, 이를 통해 간섭을 피할 수 있다. 이에 따라 전력선 통신 시스템의 성능과 스펙트럼 효율이 향상된다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 제안된 스펙트럼 할당 기법을 통해 스펙트럼 효율 향상과 통신 시스템의 성능이 향상된다는 것을 증명하였다.

  • In this paper, we address a real-world periodic vehicle routing problem with time windows (PVRPTW). In addition to the general requirements of single-day vehicle routing problem, each stop has required number of visits within a cycle period in PVRPTW. Thus, we need to determine optimized days of visit for each stop with consideration of the cycle-period days together. The problem also requires consistent vehicle assignment to the stops. We developed a clustering based 3-phase approach for this problem: 1) stop-route assignment, 2) stop-day assignment, and 3) stop sequencing within a single-day route. Using the approach, we could reduce the number of routes and improve the routing efficiency for several real-world problems.

  • In this paper, a new state assignment method is proposed for the implementation of the area-effective control part. Introducing the, concept of adjacency matrix to control table generated by SDL(Symbolic Description Language) hardware compiler, a state assignment method is proposed with which minimal number of flip flops and effective number of product terms can be obtained to accomplish the area-effective implementation. Also, with substituting the assigned code to state transition table, boolean equations are obtained through 2-level logic minimization. Proposed algorithm is programmed in C-language on VAX-750/UNIX and b efficiency is shown by the practical example.

  • 동적채널할당 방식은 채널 이용 효율을 극대화시킬 수 있다는 장점은 있으나 채널을 최종적으로 가입자에게 할당 해주기 위해서는 여러 단계의 연산 과정을 수행해야 한다. 이로 인해 시스템 제어가 복잡해지고, 채널할당 시까지 필요로 하는 시간이 길어 전체 시스템 성능에 영향을 미치는 단점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 동적채널할당 방식을 적용하고자 할 때 가장 문제가 되는 채널할당 시까지 필요로 하는 제어 단계를 단순화시킬 수 있는 트래픽 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다.
