STM/STS에 의한 Au (111)에 자기조립된 니트로분자의 전기적 특성 측정 (Study on electrical property of self-assembled nitro molecule onto Au(111) by Using STM/STS)

  • The characteristic of negative differential resistance(NDR) is decreased current when the applied voltage is increased. The NDR is potentially very useful in molecular electronics device schemes. Here, we investigated the NDR property of self-assembled 4,4- Di(ethynylphenyl)-2'-nitro-1-(thioacetyl)benzene, which has been well known as a conducting molecule. Self-assembly monolayers(SAMs) were prepared on Au(111), which had been thermally deposited onto pre-treatment$(H_2SO_4:H_2O_2=3:1)$ Si. The Au substrate was exposed to a 1mM/l solution of 1-dodecanethiol in ethanol for 24 hours to form a monolayer. After thorough rinsing the sample, it was exposed to a $0.1{\mu}M/l$ solution of 4,4-Di(ethynylphenyl)-2'-nitro-1-(thioacetyl)benzene in dimethylformamide(DMF) for 30 min and kept in the dark during immersion to avoid photo-oxidation. After the assembly, the samples were removed from the solutions, rinsed thoroughly with methanol, acetone, and $CH_2Cl_2$, and finally blown dry with $N_2$. Under these conditions, we measured electrical properties of self-assembly monolayers(SAMs) using ultra high vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy(UHV-STM). The applied voltages were from -2V to +2V with 299K temperature. The vacuum condition is $6{\times}10^{-8}$ Torr. As a result, we found the NDR voltage of the nitro-benzene is $-1.61{\pm}0.26$ V(negative region) and $1.84{\pm}0.33$ (positive region), respectively.

  • Construction industries worldwide have moved to Building Information Modeling environment in conjunction with IT technology progress. Korean domestic construction market is in the midst of enthusiastically adopting BIM technique and the public sectors try to apply the method to their projects. Difficulties have been introduced, however, in doing so mainly due to the complexity in reflecting the distinctions of the public cost estimate requirements to BIM modeling. The main objective of this study is to propose four kinds of BIM property information modeling methodologies which would be used in the quantity surveys of the public construction projects. To evaluate the applicability of the suggested modeling methods, the research performed a case study.

  • 원자력발전소의 원자로에는 노심 반응 속도를 제어하기 위하여 제어봉구동장치가 사용된다. 한국원자력연구원의 SMART 원자로는 원자로 가동 중 제어봉집합체의 위치를 확인하기 위하여 제어봉구동장치에 영구자석과 리드스위치로 구성되는 위치지시기가 설치된다. 원자로 가동 온도는 최대 $350^{\circ}C$로 고려되어 설계되며, 영구자석은 원자로 내에 설치된다. 반면에 리드스위치와 전기회로는 원자로 외부에 설치된다. Test coil은 리드스위치의 품질 검증을 위한 장비로서, 코일과 철심으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구는 리드스위치에 미치는 Test coil과 영구자석의 자기 특성을 비교하고자 수행되었으며, 유한요소 전자기 시뮬레이션을 활용하였다.

주형법으로 제조된 Gd2O3:Eu3+ 적색 형광체의 나노입자 분산 및 형상제어 (Dispersion and Shape Control on Nanoparticles of Gd2O3:Eu3+ Red Phosphor Prepared by Template Method)

  • $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ red phosphors were prepared by template method from crystalline cellulose impregnated by metal salt. The crystallite size and photoluminescence(PL) property of $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ red phosphors were controlled by varying the calcination temperature and $Eu^{3+}$ mol ratio. The nano dispersion of $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ was also conducted with a bead mill wet process. Dependent on the time of bead milling, $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ nanosol of around 100 nm (median particle size : $D_{50}$) was produced. As the bead milling process proceeded, the luminescent efficiency decreased due to the low crystallinity of the $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ nanoparticles. In spite of the low PL property of $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ nanosol, it was observed that the photoluminescent property was recovered after re-calcination. In addition, in the dispersed nanosol treated at $85^{\circ}C$, a self assembly phenomenon between particles appeared, and the particles changed from spherical to rod-shaped. These results indicate that particle growth occurs due to mutual assembly of $Gd(OH)_3$ particles, which is the hydration of $Gd_2O_3$ particles, in aqueous solvent at $85^{\circ}C$.

Layer-by-layer assembled graphene oxide films and barrier properties of thermally reduced graphene oxide membranes

  • In this study, we present a facile method of fabricating graphene oxide (GO) films on the surface of polyimide (PI) via layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly of charged GO. The positively charged amino-phenyl functionalized GO (APGO) is alternatively complexed with the negatively charged GO through an electrostatic LBL assembly process. Furthermore, we investigated the water vapor transmission rate and oxygen transmission rate of the prepared (reduced GO $[rGO]/rAPGO)_{10}$ deposited PI film (rGO/rAPGO/PI) and pure PI film. The water vapor transmission rate of the GO and APGO-coated PI composite film was increased due to the intrinsically hydrophilic property of the charged composite films. However, the oxygen transmission rate was decreased from 220 to 78 $cm^3/m^2{\cdot}day{\cdot}atm$, due to the barrier effect of the graphene films on the PI surface. Since the proposed method allows for large-scale production of graphene films, it is considered to have potential for utilization in various applications.

  • Transfer of an electron from one site to another in a molecular or between molecules and/or electrodes is one of the most fundamental and ubiquitous processes in chemistry, biology and physics. In this study fusion proteins composed by green fluorescent protein(GFP) and cytochrome b562 were used in fabricating molecular array as an electron sensitizer and electron acceptor, Protein formation onto the substrate was performed by the self-assembly technique. The fusion protein film were analyzed using scanning probe microscope(SPM), Surface Plasmon Resornance(SPR) and hybrid STM/I-V. The results suggest that the proposed molecular photodiode can be used as a basic unit of the memory device.

  • The heavy duty diesel engine must have a large output for maintaining excellent mobility. The compacted graphite iron (CGI) is a material currently under study for the engine demanded for high torque, durability, stiffness and fatigue. In this study, three dimensional finite element model of a heavy-duty diesel engine was developed to conduct the stress analysis by using property of CGI. The FE model of the heavy duty diesel engine section consisting with four half cylinder was selected. The heavy duty diesel engine section include cylinder block, cylinder head, liner, bearing cap, bearing and bolt. The loading conditions of engine are pre-fit load, assembly force and gas force.

  • We fabricated the monolayers onto QCM by self-assembly using viologen, which has been widely used as electron acceptor. A gold electrode of the QCM was cleaned by piranha solution and prepared the ethanol-acetonitrile(1:1) solution with 2 m mol/l viololgen compounding of pure hi gas. We determined the time dependence to resonant frequency shift during self-assembly process and the electrochemical behavior of the self-assembled viologen monolayers by cyclic voltammetry. With increasing scan rate, the redox peak current of the viologen increased linearly. This was signified that the redox reaction was reversible. The EQCM measurements revealed the anions transfer during redox reactions, respectively. From the EQCM data, the well-defined shape peaks were nearly equal charges by cyclic voltammetry.

  • 기계 부품을 설계함에 있어 솔리드 모델링 시스템의 사용을 골격으로 하는 CAD 시스템의 사용은 삼차원 모델링된 단일 물체에 대한 물성치(mass property)의 계산, FEM 해석을 위한 유한요소의 자동생성, 곡면에 대한 NC 공구경로(NC tool path)의 자동계산, 부품의 생산을 위한 가공 정보의 도출 등의 분야에 많은 도움을 주어 설계와 생산, 관리의 전 분야에 혁신적 효율화를 도모해주었다. 한편 이렇게 설계된 단품들은 대개의 경우 조립되어 조립체를 이루게 되고, 그 상태로 혹은 부품간에 상대운동을 하면서 원하는 기능을 구현하게 된다. 단품에 대해서처럼 이 과정에서도 CAD 시스템은 조립체의 삼차원 형상을 인식하고 필요한 정보를 제공해줌으로써 설계자에게 유용한 도구로 사용될 수 있는데 이를 조립체 모델링 시스템(Assembly Modeling System)이라 부르며, 현재에는 대부분의 솔리드 모델링 시스템에 그 기능이 채택되어 있다. 조립체 모델링에 관한 연구동향을 비교적 잘 정리한 문헌으로는 Turner와 Libardi의 것을 들 수 있다. 여기서는 이러한 조립체 모델링 시스템의 연구분야와 동향에 대해 또 나름으로의 시각으로 정리하였다.

모듈러 강교량 상부모듈의 조립체계 정의를 통한 IFC 기반의 부품정보 표현방법 (IFC-based Representation Method of Part Information in Superstructure Module of Modular Steel Bridge with Assembly System)

  • 모듈러 강교량 제작, 조립, 설계, 시공단계에서 상부모듈의 부품정보를 효율적으로 제공하고 교환하기 위하여 BIM(Building Information Modeling) 프로젝트에서 정보교환을 위하여 사용하는 국제표준인 IFC 모델을 활용한 부품정보 라이브러리 구축방법을 제시하였다. 모듈러 강교량의 상부모듈을 구성하는 부품정보를 IFC 모델로 표현하기 위하여 의미론적인 관점에서 기존 IFC 모델에서 부품정보를 표현할 수 있는 엔티티와 모듈러 강교량의 구성요소를 매칭하여 적용하였으며, 구성요소의 역할을 구분하기 위하여 매칭한 엔티티의 타입을 적용하거나 사용자정의 타입으로 정의하였다. 또한, 부품 정보 라이브러리에서 부품 및 조립품의 정보를 해당단계에서 효율적으로 제공하기 위하여 조립체계를 네 단계의 상세수준(LoD)으로 구분하여 정의하였으며, 이를 IFC 모델로 표현하기 위하여 새로운 속성정보를 정의하였다. 마지막으로, IFC 모델과 매칭하여 정의한 정보를 실제 모듈러 강교량 상부모듈에 적용하여 IFC 기반의 시범 라이브러리 정보를 생성하였다.
