  • This paper proposes the Pareto artificial life algorithm for a multi-objective function optimization problem. The artificial life algorithm for a single objective function optimization problem is improved through incorporating the new method to estimate the fitness value fur a solution and the Pareto list to memorize and to improve the Pareto optimal set. The proposed algorithm is applied to the optimum design of a Journal bearing which has two objective functions. The Pareto front and the optimal solution set for the application are reported to present the possible solutions to a decision maker or a designer.

  • This paper studies secure wireless transmission from a multi-antenna transmitter to a single-antenna intended receiver overheard by multiple eavesdroppers with considering the imperfect channel state information (CSI) of wiretap channel. To enhance security of communication link, the artificial noise (AN) is generated at transmitter. We first design the robust joint optimal beamforming of secret signal and AN to minimize transmit power with constraints of security quality of service (QoS), i.e., minimum allowable signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) at receiver and maximum tolerable SINR at eavesdroppers. The formulated design problem is shown to be nonconvex and we transfer it into linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The semidefinite relaxation (SDR) technique is used and the approximated method is proved to solve the original problem exactly. To verify the robustness and tightness of proposed beamforming, we also provide a method to calculate the worst-case SINR at eavesdroppers for a designed transmit scheme using semidefinite programming (SDP). Additionally, the secrecy rate maximization is explored for fixed total transmit power. To tackle the nonconvexity of original formulation, we develop an iterative approach employing sequential parametric convex approximation (SPCA). The simulation results illustrate that the proposed robust transmit schemes can effectively improve the transmit performance.

  • This paper shows the optimal design methodology for the fluid engine mount by the artificial life algorithm. The design has been commonly modified by trial and error because there is many design parameters that can be varied in order to minimize transmissibility at the desired fundamental resonant and notch frequencies. The application of trial and error method to optimization of the fluid mount is a great work. Many combinations of parameters are possible to give us the desired resonant and notch frequencies, but the question is which combination Provides the lowest resonant peak and notch depth. In this study the enhanced artificial life algorithm is applied to get the desired fundamental resonant and notch frequencies of a fluid mount and to minimize transmissibility at these frequencies. The present hybrid algorithm is the synthesis of and artificial life algorithm with the random tabu (R-tabu) search method. The hybrid algorithm has some advantages, which is not only faster than the conventional artificial life algorithm, but also gives a more accurate solution. In addition, this algorithm can find all globa1 optimum solutions. The results show that the performance of the optimized mount compared with the original mount is improved significantly.

  • In our life, we have used many digital appliances. They helped us to improve the quality of lift but sometimes gave us unsatisfactory result because they produce specific noise. Especially a vacuum cleaner produces a great deal of noise that is very annoying. So we need to study what sound metrics affect human sensibility. In this paper, we will study sound quality index for vacuum cleaner. The subjective evaluation of vacuum cleaner sound can be indicated to objective parameters by sound metrics of psychoacoustics. The artificial neural network can estimate the nonlinear characteristics of relation between subjective evaluation and sound metrics. We applied the artificial neural network to the development of sound quality index for vacuum sound.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an improved marker auto-identification algorithm for reduce of data processing time through improve the efficiency of noise elimination and marker separation. The maker auto-identification algorithm was programming named KUMAS used Delphi language. For the study, various experiments were conducted for the verification of KUMAS. and compared two systems of established with the KUMAS. Four different motions - cycling, gait, rotation, and pendulum -, were selected and tested. Motions were filmed 30Hz frames rate per second. ${\chi}^2$ used for statistical analysis. Significant level were ${\alpha}=.05$. The test results were as follow. 1. Increased the success ratio of marker auto-identification. 2. The efficiency of marker auto-identification was remarkably improved through marker separation, noise elimination. 3. The marker auto-identification ability was improved in 2D-image plane include the 3D motion. 4. Significant different were found between KUMAS and B-SYS(established system) with non-input the artificial noise frames, input the artificial noise frames and total frames.

  • Based on the capture-emission energy (CEE) maps of CMOS devices, a physics-informed machine learning model for the bias temperature instability (BTI)-induced threshold voltage shifts and low frequency noise is presented. In order to incorporate physics theories into the machine learning model, the integration of artificial neural network (IANN) is employed for the computation of the threshold voltage shifts and low frequency noise. The model combines the computational efficiency of IANN with the optimal estimation of Gaussian mixture model (GMM) with soft clustering. It enables full lifetime prediction of BTI under various stress and recovery conditions and provides accurate prediction of the dynamic behavior of the original measured data.

  • When we evaluate sound, there are various methods for noise such as A-weighted SPL(sound pressure level), NC(noise criteria), NR(noise rating) and SIL(speech interference level) etc. however, it is not sufficient for the sounds supplied to public places used in soundscape design. Consequently it is needed to develop the tool for evaluating the good acoustical environment and futhermore quantifying the effect of improvement by supplying sound sources. In this study, it was tried to analyse the sound sources applied for soundscape design using sound quality parameters. The sound sources used were natural sound artificial sound. For the sound quality parameters, Loudness(L), Sharpness(S), Fluctuation strength(FL), Tonality(T), Roughness(R), Unbiased Annoyance(UA) were used and sound quality values were compared both natural and artificial sounds, depending on the convolution of sound sources with background noise, the duration, the frequency contents and the SPL. As a result, the values of L and UA have shown to be changed comparing to the other parameters, and it is necessary to analyse the correlation with subjects' responses.

  • In this paper, a secure transmission scheme based on the artificial noise is proposed for D2D communications underlaying the full-duplex cellular network, and a secure power allocation scheme to maximize the overall secrecy rate of both the cellular user and D2D transmitter node is presented. Firstly, the full-duplex base station transmits the artificial noise to guarantee the secure communications when it receives signals of cellular uplinks. Under this secure framework, it is found that improving the transmission power of the cellular user or the D2D transmitter node will degrade the secrecy rate of the other, although will improve itself secrecy rate obviously. Hence, a secure power allocation scheme to maximize the overall secrecy rate is presented subject to the security requirement of the cellular user. However, the original power optimization problem is non-convex. To efficiently solve it, we recast the original problem into a convex program problem by utilizing the proper relaxation and the successive convex approximation algorithm. Simulation results evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
