Robotics in Construction: Framework and Future Directions

  • In recent years the construction sector has grown significantly in terms of investment and research on robotics and automation, yet it is still a low-tech and disjointed industry. One of the main scopes of this paper is to determine how robotic automation can provide the answers to the needs this industry has. To that end, an overall framework and development agenda of current technological innovation in the field has been outlined. Possible drawbacks and driving forces in the development of robots in the construction site have been identified. In addition, the review provides for state-of-the-art policies and regulations, as well as the short and medium-term outlook in different markets and countries. Ultimately, the forecast impact on traditional processes, construction sites, emerging technologies and related professions has been summarized in order to delineate prospective repercussions and future directions towards self-sufficiency.

  • On the Chicago Meracntile Exchange, individuals and firms buy and sell contracts for specified amounts of products that are to be delivered at a time period in the future at a price arrived at through openly competitive bidding. The transfer of ownership of these delivery promises takes place in a particular trading pit, for each commodity, on the floor of the Exchange. Trades are officially made by qualified members of the Exchange who act as brokers for their customers. For his services, the broker is paid a nominal round- turn commission fee by the customer.   • Because of the difference in network structure and loss function, Verification and identification models have their respective advantages and limitations for person reidentification (re-ID). In this work, we propose a multi-task network simultaneously computes the identification loss and verification loss for person reidentification. Given a pair of images as network input, the multi-task network simultaneously outputs the identities of the two images and whether the images belong to the same identity. In experiments, we analyze the major factors affect the accuracy of person reidentification. To address the occlusion problem and improve the generalization ability of reID models, we use the Random Erasing Augmentation (REA) method to preprocess the images. The method can be easily applied to different pre-trained networks, such as ResNet and VGG. The experimental results on the Market1501 datasets show significant and consistent improvements over the state-of-the-art methods.

  • In the study, the operating mode and management system of dance troupes are aimed to analyze from the perspective of cultural and artistic management. The study focuses the Shanxi Huajin Dance Troup using case study method and provide a theoretical and practical reference for other literary communication forms in the literary industry. At the same time, the study provides a useful reference for how the cultural industry, with theatrical troupes as the main body, can operate and manage better in a "self-sufficient" market environment.

Social Network Comparison of Netflix, Disney+, and OCN on Twitter Using NodeXL

  • We analyze and compare the structure of the networks of Netflix, Disney+, and OCN, which are forerunners in OTT market, on Twitter. This study employs NodeXL pro as a visualization software package for social network analysis. As a result of the comparison with values of Vertices, Connected Components, Average Geodesic Distance, Average Betweenness Centrality, and Average Closeness Centrality. Netflix has comparative advantages at Vertices, Connected Components, and Average Closeness Centrality, OCN at Average Geodesic Distance, and Disney+ at Average Betweenness Centrality. Netflix has a more appropriate social network for influencer marketing than Disney+ and OCN. Based on the analysis results, the purpose of this study is to explain the structural differences in the social networks of Netflix, Disney+, and OCN in terms of influencer marketing.

Connect, BTS: An Example of Innovative Transmedia Branding To Rethink Spatiality and Meaning-making

  • This case study research analyzes the cross-artistic project Connect, BTS and its relationship to transmedia branding, meaning-making and spatiality. After an overview of the argument and a section on methodology, the reader will find the analysis of the case study. Thanks to the use of a qualitative approach, this examination of Connect, BTS unveils the ways in which this initiative becomes a location that allows a reconceptualization of space that fosters plurality, exchange, and subjectivity. Connect, BTS unites seemingly incompatible fields under one project, favoring the co-creation of meanings among different artists, BTS, ARMY (the group's fans), business partners and viewers. This process has been investigated through content analysis, exploring Connect, BTS's transmedia strategies from branding to storytelling, to evaluate their efficacy in regard to brand identity, brand experience, and brand trust. The paper will also explore the variety of layers and spatial dimensions contained in Connect, BTS, which flow from art to the music industry, material and digital space, various market sectors and media. In light of this, Connect, BTS embraces a galaxy of separate semantic units into an extended liminal continuum that does not discount difference.

A Study on Technology to Counter Copyright Infringement According to NFT Transaction Types

  • In the digital world, the transactions of assets with intrinsic value can be applied to games, literature, art, and music by issuing NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) based on Blockchain; various NFT exchanges are emerging accordingly just like real world asset exchanges. However, there could be an issue of copyright infringement in those NFT transactions. Therefore, this paper has classified the types of copyright infringement that may occur in NFT exchanges and proposes the copyright infringement countermeasures according to them. For this purpose, 10 types of NFT exchange are examined. Eventually, it can be expected that the proposed countermeasures will contribute to the revitalization of the NFT market by providing solutions for those issues.

  • As international construction market increases, the importance of risk management in international construction project is emphasized. Unfortunately, current risk management practice does not sufficiently deal with project risks. Although a lot of risk analysis techniques have been introduced, most of them focus on project's external unexpected risks such as country conditions and owner's financial standing. However, because those external risks are difficult to manage and take preemptive action, we need to concentrate on project inherent risks. Based on this premise, this paper proposes a project-oriented risk mining approach which could detect and extract project risk factors automatically before they are materialized. This study presents a methodology regarding how to extract potential risks which exist in owner's project requirements and project tender documents using state of the art data analysis method such as text mining. The project-oriented risk mining approach is expected to effectively reflect project characteristics to the project risk management and could provide construction firms with valuable business intelligence.

  • The growth of the national economy and the improvement of household consumption have had a profound impact on the design of children's food packaging. As household economic conditions improve, children's consumption needs and habits are becoming more diverse. Especially in the field of children's food, food packaging still plays a key role, not only to protect the freshness and safety of food, but also to create a pleasant and fun emotional atmosphere in the minds of children. The aim of this study is to explore the close link between emotional interaction and the children's food market, and to study approaches to children's food packaging design to provide beneficial insights to promote sales and meet changing consumer needs.

명화(名畵)에서 유발된 감정이 차용된 제품과 제품속성 평가에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Art-provoked Affect on Product and Product Attributes Evaluation)

  • 최근, 제품 디자인의 차별화 방법 중 하나로 제품에 명화(名畵)를 차용하는 이른바 '명화 마케팅(masterpiece marketing)'이 각광받고 있다. 본 연구는 시장에서 널리 사용되고 있는 명화 마케팅에 체계적이고 과학적인 방법을 적용하여, 명화에서 유발되는 감정이 제품 속성 평가에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소임을 밝혀내고자 하였다. 본 연구는 명화가 가지는 본질적 기능인 감상자의 정서 유발에 초점을 맞추어, 차용된 명화에서 유발되는 감정(affect)이 해당 제품 평가에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 가에 대한 가설을 세웠다. 보다 구체적으로 기존 감정 연구에서 제시된 감정의 두 축, 쾌(pleasure), 환기(arousal)의 수준에서 차이가 나는 명화가 각각 제품에 차용되었을 경우, 소비자의 제품 평가에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 가에 대해 제품의 유형(실용재/ 쾌락재)과 각 속성(실용적 속성/ 쾌락적 속성)에 대한 평가의 차이를 통해 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 긍정 감정을 야기하는 명화에 대한 선호도가 부정감정을 야기하는 명화에 대한 선호도보다 높았으며, 제품 유형에 관계없이 긍정감정을 유발하는 명화를 제품에 차용하였을 경우 부정감정을 유발하는 명화를 제품에 차용했을 때보다 제품태도가 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 명화가 유발하는 감정이 제품태도에 미치는 영향은 명화에 대한 선호도에 의해 매개됨을 밝혀냈다. 감정의 또 다른 한 축인 환기 수준이 높은 명화를 실용재인 우유에 차용했을 경우, 쾌락적 속성에 대한 평가가 높아진 반면, 환기 수준이 낮은 명화를 차용했을 경우에는 실용적 속성에 대한 평가가 높아졌다. 그러나 쾌락재인 초콜릿의 경우 이러한 차이가 발견되지 않아 제품에 차용된 명화에서 유발되는 감정 수준(환기 수준)이 제품 유형에 따라 각각 다른 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 점에서 의의가 있다. 첫째, 시장에서 널리 사용되고 있는 명화 마케팅에 체계적이고 과학적인 방법을 적용하여, 명화에서 유발되는 감정이 제품 속성 평가에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소임을 밝혀내었다. 둘째, 긍정/부정 감정에 초점을 두어 진행되었던 기존 연구에서 더 나아가 감정의 또 다른 축인 환기가 제품 속성평가에 차별적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인하였다.
