  • A permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) differs from an ordinary synchronous motor in that the former has no field winding and the field flux can not be controlled by field current. A field-weakening control of PMSM utilizing the demagnetization due to d-axis armature reaction is equivalent to reducing the field current. In this paper, the armature resistance is considered for the optimum field-weakening control.

  • This paper presents the self-commissioning for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed strategy executes three tests with a standard inverter drive system. To do this, synchronous d-q axes currents are appropriately controlled for each test. From the three tests, armature resistance, armature inductance, equivalent iron loss resistance, and emf coefficient are identified automatically. The validity of the proposed strategy is confirmed by experimental results.

  • In this paper, the transient shielding characteristics of slitted electrothermal shield of superconducting alternator is studied. The field current and the armature currents variations during three phase short circuit fault are calculated and compared to those of the conventional one. And the response of the armature current due to step-up of the excitation voltage showes the feasibility of the quick response excitation system available for improving the transient stability.

  • In the electrical machinery, the efficiency of the machine is decreased because of the occurrence of the armature reaction. Various kinds of literatures have suggested the methods to eliminate the armature reaction. However, It is far from satisfactory. In this paper, By using the proper combination of ring coils and the body of non-magnetic materials, the methods to increase output of the machine are suggested.

  • 현재 선형 전동기는 많은 연구가 진행되어 그 응용분야가 산업전반에 확대되고 있다. 이중 반송장치 분야에서 영구자석 선형 동기 전동기(Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor:이하 PMLSM)가 각광을 받고 있다. 영구자석 선형 동기 전동기는 구조적으로 간단하며 고속화 고추력화 등의 장점을 가지고 있지만 전기자를 반송경로 전장에 배치하는 지상 1차측 시스템을 장거리 반송장치에 적용하면 재료비용의 증가 및 제작시간 증가 등의 문제점이 발생한다. 따라서 전기자를 분산(불연속) 배치하는 방식이 제안되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 전기자 분산배치 방식은 구조적으로 단부가 존재하고 이러한 단부에 의해 코깅력이 발생한다. 이는 추력 맥동의 원인이 되며, 소음과 진동을 발생시킨다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 전기자를 분산배치 할 경우 필연적으로 생기는 단부에 의한 코깅력을 저감하기 위해 Bifurcating을 적용한 집중권 PMLSM에 보조극 설치법을 제안한다. 또한 그에 따른 단부 코깅력 특성을 2차원 유한요소법(FEA)을 이용하여 분석하였다.

  • 최근 저소음, 고속, 고추력의 반송장치가 요구됨에 따라 영구자석 선형동기전동기가 대두되고 있으나 반송경로 전장에 전기자를 설치하는 선형 동기전동기의 특성으로 인해 장거리 반송장치에 적용시 설치비용의 증가를 가져온다. 따라서 우리는 전기자를 분산시켜 배치하는 방법을 제안하여 비용증가의 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 하지만 가동자의 진행시 분산배치된 전기자 사이를 통과하게 되면 전기자의 불연속 구간인 단부에 의해 디텐트력이 발생하여 추력 맥동이 발생하고 기기 성능저하와 소음, 진동의 원인이 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 단부에 의한 영향을 저감하기 위해 전기자 끝단의 치 높이와 보조치 형상에 따른 디텐트력의 특성을 파악하고 다구찌의 실험계획법을 이용하여 단부 효과를 가장 저감할 수 있는 형상을 제안하였다.

  • Superconducting synchronous motors and generators have the field coil composed of superconductor with almost zero resistance at superconducting state. Therefore, co or loss at the conventional field coil is eliminated and the superconducting machine gets higher efficiency. The armature coil of the superconducting machine is composed of cower wire and supported by non-magnetic material such as FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastic). Although a fully-superconducting machine with superconducting armature coil has been researched, it was not developed toward industrial application because of AC transporting loss and difficulty in construction of the cooling structure and so on. This paper contains the design procedure of a 1 MW superconducting synchronous motor using high-temperature superconductor only for the field coil. Especially, the armature coil is designed by water-cooling in order to dissipate Joule heat easily. Moreover, 3-dimensional electromagnetic design is conducted to get a proper design result and reduce design errors from 2-dimensional approach.

  • One hand shopping center provides a public space for people, the other hand it is a place for commercial purpose. Although it gives an entertainment, eating and shopping places to people nowaday, owners and tenants aim to make profit from it. According to this demand designers should plan a shopping center for a comfortable place for eating, shopping and playing and they make shops and retails to increase sales by exposing those to more people at the same time. For successful shopping center architects are requested an approach with commercial strategy that shopping center raises exposure of retails and makes stay costumers longer and visit more frequently. Recently space is regarded as a mean of marketing, so-called "place marketing", because it can influence on brand image and improves the image of product. Therefore, it need to be approached with commercial consideration. Analyzing the armature this study will take a look at spatial strategies in shopping centers which especially the Jerde Partnership, one of influential firms on commercial space, designed. And it will examine how spatial strategies can be applied to commercial strategies in relation to customer information process(exposure-attention-interest-comprehension-memory) which marketers are using in advertisement for marketing and what kind of role spatial strategies can be. This study is to be basic considerations when a shopping center project will be planned.

DC 모터의 센서리스 속도제어 및 그 응용에 관한연구 (A Study on the Sensorless Speed Control and Its Application of DC Motor)

  • DC motors are widely used in many industrial fields as the actuator of the robot and the driving power motors of the electrical vehicle, Usually in the sensors of DC motors such as the encoder the tachogenerator and the potentiometer etc. are applied, But usage of these sensors results in the increased price and operating cost such that the application of the motors are limitted. To solve this problem another method to construct low cost control system is investigates. In this paper a new speed control method for DC motor is proposed. This method uses motor parameters instead of using speed or position sensors. In this way the angular velocity is estimated by the measure-ment values of the armature voltage and current instead of measuring the sensor signal. This paper presents an alorithm for estimating the angular velocity of DC motor The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experimental results. Also the applicability of the proposed method is presented by applying to the velocity contol of a wheeled mobile robot.
