This paper presents the calculation of the required bandwidth of common frequency bandwidth applying queueing theory for maximizing the efficiency of frequency resource of WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) based Digital acoustic and communication devices. It assumed that LBT device(ZigBee) and FH devices (DCP, RFID and Bluetooth) coexist in the common frequency band for WPAN based Digital acoustic and communication devices. Frequency hopping (FH) and listen before talk (LBT) have been used for interference avoidance in the short range device (SRD). The LBT system transmits data after searching for usable frequency bandwidth in the radio wave environment. However, the FH system transmits data without searching for usable frequency bandwidth. The queuing theory is employed to model the FH and LBT system, respectively. As a result, the throughput for each channel was analyzed by processing the usage frequency and the interval of service time for each channel statistically. When common frequency bandwidth is shared with SRD using 250mW, it was known that about 35 channels were required at the condition of throughput 84%, which was determined with the input condition of Gaussian distribution implying safety communication. Therefore, the common frequency bandwidth is estimated with multiplying the number of channel by the bandwidth per channel. These methodology will be useful for the efficient usage of frequency bandwidth.

The MAC (Medium Access Control) protocol is needed for the OLT(Optical Line Termination) to allocate bandwidth to ONUs(Optical Network Units) and ONTs(Optical Network Terminations) dynamically in the ATM PON(Passive Optical Network). With the protocol, the OLT gathers ONUs' informations and provides grants efficiently to each ONU. Two important functions of the MAC protocol is the grant request procedure and the grant distribution algrithm. The latter has the greatest arithmetic portion in the TC(Transmission Convergence) module, occupies a relatively large portion of the overall chip area, has often been the limiting factor in terms of speed, and should be designed to guarantee the quality of service for various traffics. In this paper, we implement the MAC with the FPGA which can allocate grants dynamically according to the queue length information and the number of active ONUs and distribute grants uniformly to minimize the cell delay variation for each ONU. The structure of the MAC scheduler for the dynamic bandwidth assignment has a programmable look-up table. Also, it has a simple structure, the less chip area, and the lower delay time.
The WBAN technology means a short distance wireless network which provides each device interactive communication by connecting devices inside and outside of body. Standardization on the physical layer, data link layer, network layer and application layer is in progress by IEEE 802.15.6 TG BAN. Wireless body area network is usually configured in energy efficient using sensor and zigbee device due to the power limitation and the characteristics of human body. Wireless sensor network consist of sensor field and sink node. Sensor field are composed a lot of sensor node and sink node collect sensing data. Wireless sensor network has capacity of the self constitution by protocol where placed in large area without fixed position. In this paper, we proposed the efficient addressing scheme for improving the performance of routing algorithm by using ZigBee in WBAN environment. A distributed address allocation scheme used an existing algorithm that has wasted in address space. Therefore proposing x, y and z coordinate axes from divided address space of 16 bit to solve this problems. Each node was reduced not only bitwise but also multi hop using the coordinate axes while routing than Cskip algorithm. I compared the performance between the standard and the proposed mechanism through the numerical analysis. Simulation verified performance about decrease averaging multi hop count that compare proposing algorithm and another. The numerical analysis results show that proposed algorithm reduced the multi hop better than ZigBee distributed address assignment

Process of recognizing objects in binary images consists of image segmentation and pattern matching. If binary objects in the image are assumed to be separated, global features such as area, length of perimeter, or the ratio of the two can be used to recognize the objects in the image. However, if such an assumption is not valid, the global features can not be used but local features such as points or line segments should be used to recognize the objects. In this paper points with large curvature along the perimeter are chosen to be the feature points, and pairs of points selected from them are used as local features. Similarity of two local features are defined using elastic deformation energy for making the lengths and angles between gradient vectors at the end points same. Neighbour support value is defined and used for robust recognition of partially occluded binary objects. An experiment on Kimia-25 data showed that the proposed algorithm runs 4.5 times faster than the maximum clique algorithm with same recognition rate.
Purpose : This paper introduces a computationally inexpensive context-dependent classification of multi-echo MRI with Bayes compound decision model. In order to produce accurate region segmentation especially in homogeneous area and along boundaries of the regions, we propose a classification method that uses contextual information of local enighborhood system in the image. Material and Methods : The performance of the context free classifier over a statistically heterogeneous image can be improved if the local stationary regions in the image are disassociated from each other through the mechanism of the interaction parameters defined at he local neighborhood level. In order to improve the classification accuracy, we use the contextual information which resolves ambiguities in the class assignment of a pattern based on the labels of the neighboring patterns in classifying the image. Since the data immediately surrounding a given pixel is intimately associated with this given pixel., then if the true nature of the surrounding pixel is known this can be used to extract the true nature of the given pixel. The proposed context-dependent compound decision model uses the compound Bayes decision rule with the contextual information. As for the contextual information in the model, the directional transition probabilities estimated from the local neighborhood system are used for the interaction parameters. Results : The context-dependent classification paradigm with compound Bayesian model for multi-echo MR images is developed. Compared to context free classification which does not consider contextual information, context-dependent classifier show improved classification results especially in homogeneous and along boundaries of regions since contextual information is used during the classification. Conclusion : We introduce a new paradigm to classify multi-echo MRI using clustering analysis and Bayesian compound decision model to improve the classification results.
The purpose of this study,was to find out health status, characteristics related to working conditions, occurrence of low back pain and its related factors among dental hygienists working in dental clinics, and, thus, to provide basic information necessary to set up some plans for preventing the occurrence of low back pains and improving working conditions for dental hygienists. The data were collected from 310 dental hygienists working at dental clinics in Pusan and Kyungnam area, including Masan, Changwon, Jinhae and Jinju, with a self-administered questionnaire and were analyzed finally for 295 records with SPSS for Windows(7.52K) program. The results were as follows : Working condition was considered to be fair by 562% of dental hygienists were thought to threaten their health in the dental clinics. About seventy percent of dental hygienists worked over ten hours a day and 72.8% were standing while working over 7 hours, 65% considered working hours too long. Health status was thought be more than average for 82.3% while more than half perceived certain degree of stress frequently. The rate of complaining low back pains among dental hygienists was 87.8% with pains more than medium level for 39.3%. The variables significantly related to the degree of low back pains were height, uncomfortable postures, type of working postures and the height of working table, while some variables including height, hours of working on the feet, the presence of hazardous work environment, uncomfortable postures, the presence of hazardous works, the amount of working hours, type of working postures and work-associated stresses, were significantly related to the number of symptoms for low back pains. Multiple regression analysis showed that occurrence of low back pains was significantly influenced by 5 factors such as subjective status of health, work-related stresses, the degree of perception to work environment, the degree of perception to the amount of working hours and age. In conclusion, it might be necessary to manage working conditions effectively by reducing working hours, making good postures while working and removing stressful conditions in order to reduce risk factors for the occurrence of low back pains among dental hygienists. Therefore good working postures, assignment of appropriate rest time and some programs for early detection, care and education of low back pains should be provided for the dental hygienists.
Seoul metropolitan public transport reform results in the introduction of the semi-public operation and distance-based fare policies. With implementation of these policies, public transport revenue allocation has been (will be) evolved very complicated because the existing revenue allocation issues have not only been clearly solved, which is generated by the combined relationship among Korea Railroad Corporation (KRC). Seoul Metropolitan Subway Corporation (SMSC). Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (SMRTC), and Incheon Rapid Transit Corporation (IRTC), but also the revenue allocation problem between bus and urban railroad-related organizations need to be considered in this combined framework. On top of that. based on the future plans such as the private sector's railroad construction plan(s), the light rail transit construction plans of several local governments and the join of remained bus lines of Seoul metropolitan areas, it is understood that the revenue allocation among public transport operating organization will become one of main issues of operation organization as well as local and central governments. As a basic approach for revenue allocation of public transport operation organizations, the purpose of this paper is to propose an integrated model applicable to estimate degree of service contribution in passenger carriage in the combined public transport network. With a hypothesis that the complete electronic card system is deployed, this paper supposes every passenger's loading and alighting stations is recordable. Thereby, this paper limits research scope as to Seoul metropolitan railroad area since used route(s) between origin and destination stations can not be traceded because transfer stations each passenger path through is not recorded. Each model proposed in the paper is as follows: 1. a generalized cost reflecting passenger's transfer behavior; 2.a K path model for determining similar routes between O-D; 3.an assignment model for loading O-D trips onto the detected similar routes using Logit Model.

Background: This study was carried out for the purpose of comprehensively evaluating the mercury exposure level of residents in several areas and the correlation between hair mercury concentration and blood mercury concentration. Method: One thousand one hundred ninety seven subjects were sampled from 30 sites using random assignment sampling. We performed a questionnaire survey and measured the level of total mercury in hair and blood samples from all subjects. Results: The geometric mean concentrations of hair and blood mercury in all subjects were 1.27 mg/kg [95% confidence interval (CI): 1.23-1.32 mg/kg] and 5.24 ${\mu}g/L$ [95% CI: 5.07-5.41 ${\mu}g/L$], respectively. Male (1.56 mg/kg in hair, 6.00 ${\mu}g/L$ in blood) was significantly higher than that of female (1.03 mg/kg in hair, 4.56 ${\mu}g/L$ in blood), and the concentrations were elevated as age increased up to the 50s. Education, smoking, alcohol drinking, and using of pesticides were also shown to influence mercury concentrations in hair and blood. The ratio of hair/ blood mercury concentration was 261.3. The total mercury concentration in hair was identified to be significantly related with total mercury concentration in blood (r=0.814, p<0.001). Conclusion: The geometric mean concentrations of hair and blood mercury were higher than the levels provided in international recommendations. The total mercury concentration in hair was positively correlated with the concentration in blood. The results of this study suggest that hair mercury be considered as a useful tool for the evaluation of mercury exposure.
According to the Annex 17 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, an appropriate authority of each contracting state has to define and allocate tasks and coordinate activities between the departments, agencies and other organizations of the State, airport and aircraft operators and other entities concerned with or responsible for the implementation of various aspects of the national civil aviation security programme. It is generally recognized that the three major parties responsible for the aviation security at an airport are appropriate government departments, airport operator and airlines. The airlines are the beneficiaries of security activities as well as the provider of security activities. So, their responsibilities have been critical in protecting civil aviation from unlawful interferences. The airport has to take leading role in implementing security tasks at airport area because the airport operator is the provider of airport facilities and services to its customer and the security activities belong to its services. The government has the responsibilities not only for establishing regulatory system but also for oversighting the implementation of aviation security activities. The paper is to review the revision of aviation security regulation and the changes of aviation security responsibilities, and costs and task assignment in Republic of Korea after September 11 event. The responsibilities, tasks and costs assigned to airlines, airport operators and government are introduced and evaluated in terms of economic fairness, effectiveness and efficiency of aviation security activities. The drawbacks of new legal system are pointed out and the suggestions to remedy them are proposed as conclusions.

This study was conducted to establish a principle on the fields of National Technical Qualification(NTQ), and aimed at developing criteria on requirements of the qualification that will be managed as the national technical qualification. In order to achieve the objective of the study, we examined the directions of setting the Jurisdiction of national technical qualification through role assignment between the state and private sectors. Also, we reviewed related documents, conducted Delphi survey, consulted the expert group and had an interview session for this study. There are five criteria of the jurisdiction of NTQ presented as follows. First is the field which disturbs social orders or has possibility of harming the good public morals; second, the field that requires high standards of ethics or is directly linked to life, health and safety of the public; third, the field which requires national attention for training of manpower as it is an area that is difficult for private sector to approach or it requires national management; fourth, the field which requires repair or maintenance of resources of traditional culture but is difficult for the private sector to have an access to and fifth, the field where it needs to protect the interest of the nation in the inter-nation relationships. The concrete and detailed standard on the five criteria is also presented in the study.
