  • This paper proposes a face recognition technique that effectively combines elastic graph matching (EGM) and Fisherface algorithm. EGM as one of dynamic lint architecture uses not only face-shape but also the gray information of image, and Fisherface algorithm as a class specific method is robust about variations such as lighting direction and facial expression. In the proposed face recognition adopting the above two methods, the linear projection per node of an image graph reduces dimensionality of labeled graph vector and provides a feature space to be used effectively for the classification. In comparison with a conventional method, the proposed approach could obtain satisfactory results in the perspectives of recognition rates and speeds. Especially, we could get maximum recognition rate of 99.3% by leaving-one-out method for the experiments with the Yale Face Databases.

  • Engineering graph plays an important role in design and manufacture, such as architecture, machinery, manufacture, military. However, almost no persons consider the security and copyright of two-dimensional engineering graph. A novel method for two-dimensional engineering graph watermark based U system is proposed in this paper. Watermarks generated by this technique can be successfully extracted even after rotation, translation and scaling transform.

  • Model-based software architecture verification and test scenarios generation are becoming more and more important in the software industry. Based on the existing temporal graph grammar, this paper proposes a new formalization method of the context-sensitive graph grammar for aiming at UML activity diagrams, which is called the UML Activity Graph Grammar, or UAGG. In the UAGG, there are new definitions and parsing algorithms. The proposed mechanisms are able to not only check the structural correctness of the UML activity diagram but also automatically generate the test scenario according to user constraints. Finally, a case study is discussed to illustrate how the UAGG and its algorithms work.

  • Purpose: Signs that are installed at unnoticeable places or that disconnect before the destination can bring errors of location information delivery. Therefore, this study aims to find out the spatial relation between structure of space and signs in the perspective of visual exposure possibility, operating arrangement and assesment by applying spatial structure theory. Methods: Effectiveness of organization of guidance signs was evaluated after the four way-finding factors(Plan Configuration, Sign System, Perceptual Access, Architectural Difference) that G.D.Weisman suggested were interpreted by spatial structure theory(J-Graph analysis, Space Syntax, Visual Graph Analysis) under the premise that it is closely related to the structure of space. Results: 1) Because the south corridor that connects each department of outpatient division is located in the hierarchy center of the space, and walking density is expected to be high, guidance signs need to be organized at the place with high integration value. 2) The depth to the destination space can be estimated through J-Graph analysis. The depth means a switch of direction, and the guidance signs are needed according to the number. 3) According to visibility graph analysis, visual exposure can be different in the same hierarchy unit space according to the shape of the flat surface. Based on these data, location adjustment of signs is possible, and the improvement effect can be estimated quantitatively. Implications: Spatial structure theory can be utilized to design and evaluate sign systems, and it helps to clearly understand the improvement effect. It is desirable to specify design and estimation of sign systems in the order of J-Graph analysis${\rightarrow}$Space Syntax Theory${\rightarrow}$visibility graph analysis.

  • APT cyber attacks have been a problem for over a past decade, but still remain a challenge today as attackers use more sophisticated techniques and the number of objects to be protected increases. 'Cyberattack Tracing System' allows analysts to find undetected attack codes that penetrated and hid in enterprises, and to investigate their lateral movement propagation activities. The enterprise is characterized by multiple networks and mass hosts (PCs/servers). This paper presents a data processing procedure that collects event data, generates a temporally and spatially extended provenance graph and cyberattack tracing paths. In each data process procedure phases, system design considerations are suggested. With reflecting the data processing procedure and the characteristics of enterprise environment, an operational architecture for CyberAttack Tracing System is presented. The operational architecture will be lead to the detailed design of the system.

  • We develop the Spatio-Temporal Graph to imbue the historical context to the situations in a virtual world, and an ontology to enable a structural description of their elements such as the objects, relationships, and activities. In the time dimension the graph models all the temporal phases of the future besides the past and present in a comprehensive manner, and all the spatial aspects in an intuitive but efficient fashion. The overall architecture composing the Physical Layer, Logical Layer and Conceptual Layer which are integrated according to their interrelations allows events occurring in their corresponding worlds to be simulated in historical context. The S-T Graph could be used both to simulate the situations in the virtual world and to realize the knowledge systems of the virtual inhabitants to be used in judging and evaluating those situations. By adding temporal changes to the multi-layered architecture of our virtual world, this model lays a foundation for maximizing the diversity of situations in the simulation of a virtual world.

  • This paper aims to review and discuss a graph-based approach for the representation and analysis of building circulation using BIM models. To propose this approach, the authors survey diverse researches and developments which are related to building circulation issues such as circulation requirements in Korea Building Act, spatial network analysis, as well as BIM applications. As the basis of this paper, UCN (Universal Circulation Network) is the main reference of the research, and the major goal of this paper is to extend the coverage of UCN with additional features we examined in the survey. In this paper we restructured two major perspectives on top of UCN: 1) finding major factors of graph-based circulation analysis based on UCN and 2) restructuring the UCN approach and others for adjusting to Korean Building Act. As a result of the further studies in this paper, two major additions have demonstrated in the article: 1) the most remote point-based circulation representation, and 2) virtual space-based circulation analysis.

  • Scene graphs serve as semantic abstractions of images and play a crucial role in enhancing visual comprehension and reasoning. However, the performance of Scene Graph Generation is often compromised when working with biased data in real-world situations. While many existing systems focus on a single stage of learning for both feature extraction and classification, some employ Class-Balancing strategies, such as Re-weighting, Data Resampling, and Transfer Learning from head to tail. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that decouples the feature extraction and classification phases of the scene graph generation process. For feature extraction, we leverage a transformer-based architecture and design an adaptive calibration function specifically for predicate classification. This function enables us to dynamically adjust the classification scores for each predicate category. Additionally, we introduce a Distribution Alignment technique that effectively balances the class distribution after the feature extraction phase reaches a stable state, thereby facilitating the retraining of the classification head. Importantly, our Distribution Alignment strategy is model-independent and does not require additional supervision, making it applicable to a wide range of SGG models. Using the scene graph diagnostic toolkit on Visual Genome and several popular models, we achieved significant improvements over the previous state-of-the-art methods with our model. Compared to the TDE model, our model improved mR@100 by 70.5% for PredCls, by 84.0% for SGCls, and by 97.6% for SGDet tasks.

  • As to the recent advances in computer technologies and high-speed networks, telecommunication services and provision of multimedia services will be provided on the basic of a new software architecture adapting networking infrastructure on open information networking architecture. In this paper, the video conference services has been selected as a target service example because it is expected to become one of the most important services on the full service network. In fact, it can be viewed as the basis for providing telecommunication services such as video telephony and video conferencing. This paper presents the prototyping of TINA (Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture) based desktop video conference system using the concepts of session management. The prototyping of desktop video conference system aims at assessing TINA concepts and refinement of the mapping between session graph and connection graph, and provides object modeling methodologies towards distribution and objected-orientation.
