  • In this paper, we present the software part of the intelligent data processing unit (IDPU), which plays an important role in SiMACS. The software system processes ECG, EEG, EMG, blood pressure, respiration, temperature signals, and extracts some information about patient conditions. It displays the patient condition information and the signal data synchronously, and manages them together with other patient personal data in a network-based client/server environment. The software system is designed in an object-oriented paradigm, and implemented in C++ as a window-based application program.

일정한 자의 수축 시 표면 근전도 신호에 대한 Spike 변수 해석 (Spike Variable Analysis of Surface EMG Signal During Constant Voluntary Contraction)

  • This paper presents an analysis of the SEMG signal quantitatively and automatically using spike variables : MSF, MSA, MSS, and MSD. The SEMG signals were recorded in three muscle parts, first dorsal interosseus, biceps brachii and abductor policis brevis, from 14 normal subjects. Emphasis was placed on the following 3 points in the experiments. 1) Suggest proper window length to estimate the spike variables 2) Investigate variation of the spike variables to varying %MVC. 3) Investigate variation of the spike variables to the sustained contraction for 30 minutes. Quantitative results were showed and examined in point of practical clinical application.

  • A new computation algorithm to detect the intimal and adventitial contours from the intravascular images was developed. An image processing on gray level image was used. It uses arrays of pixels in each radial lines on the images. A Low-Pass filters was adopted at first step for one dimensional image processing. Some other calculations techniques were developed to increase the accuracy of automatically detected contours. The program implemented in C++ as a window95-base application.

  • Short channel Nonvolatile EEPROM memory devices were fabricated to CMOS 1M bit design rule, and reviews the characteristics and applications of SNOSFET. Application of SNOS field effect transistors have been proposed for both logic circuits and nonvolatile memory arrays, and operating characteristics with write and erase were investigated. As a results, memory window size of four terminal devices and two terminal devices was established low conductance stage and high conductance state, which was operated in “1” state and “0”state with write and erase respectively. And the operating characteristics of unit cell in matrix array were investigated with implementing the composition method of four and two terminal nonvolatile memory cells. It was shown that four terminal 2${\times}$2 matrix array was operated bipolar, and two termineal 2${\times}$2 matrix array was operated unipolar.

  • Airborne laser scanning thechnology has been studied in many applications, DSM(Digital Surface Model) development, building extraction, 3D virtual city modeling. In this paper, we will evaluate the possibility of airborne laser scanning technology for transportation application, especially for recognizing moving vehicles on road. First, we initially segment the region of roads from all LiDAR DATA using the GIS map and intensity image. Secondly, the segmented region is divided into the roads and vehicles using the height threshold value of local based window. Finally, the vehicles will be classified into the several types of vehicles by MDC(Minimum Distance Classification) method using the vehicle's geometry information, height, length, width, etc

  • As even small features can be classified as high resolution imagery, urban remote sensing is regarded as one of the important application fields in time of wide use of the commercialized high resolution satellite imageries. In this study, we have analyzed the variogram properties of high resolution imagery, which was obtained in urban area through the simple modeling and applied to the real image. Based on the grasped variogram characteristics, we have tried to decomposed two high-resolution imagery such as IKONOS and QuickBird reducing window size until the unique variogram that urban feature has come out and then been indexed. Modeling results will be used as the fundamental data for variographic analysis in urban area using high resolution imagery later on. Index map also can be used for determining urban complexity or land-use classification, because the index is influenced by the feature size.

  • Human Adaptive Mechatronics (HAM), which is a system concept to adapt human characteristics, has been proposed. As the HAM application, this paper addresses an information emphasis scheme to alert some hazards which are undetectable by a human operator. The emphasis scheme employs cognitive psychological approach to human discrimination characteristics because excess or deficient emphasis may disturb the operation. One of advantages of teleoperation system is able to include human valuable abilities as global environment recognition, planning, prediction and so on. To implement these abilities to mechanical system is difficult because of not enough intelligence. Proposed teleoperation system is designed to progress the human abilities, and moreover, to not disturb the abilities. In this paper, we consider that the discrimination characteristics depend on window positions on GUI display and operator's individuality. Finally, the efficiency of the alert scheme is verified by some experiments.

  • 주기억 장치의 크기등과 같은 하드웨어적 특성에 구애받지 않고, 메뉴얼등과 같은 대용량 문서를 효과적으로 제작할 수 있으며, 단일 문서내의 서로 인접하지 않는 페이지간의 상호 참조나 하이퍼텍스트 응용의 링크 설정에 긴요한 동일 스크린내 복수개 페이지의 동시 표현과 같은 사용자 인터페이스를 실현할 수 있는 동적 포맷팅 방식을 제안한다. 또한 복수개의 문서중 각각의 특정 페이지를 선택적으로 동일 스크린내 표시함으로써 문서의 일부분을 발췌하여 다른 문서에 포함시키거나, 문서간 하이퍼링크의 설정 및 상호 참조등에도 유효하게 적용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방식은 X 윈도우 및 Motif를 이용한 WYSIWYG방식의 전자 출판 시스템의 연구개발의 일환으로 구현하였다.

위성체의 동력원으로서의 GaAs 태양전지 (GaAs solar cells for a satellite application)

  • GaAs solar cells may be the most attractive and efficient power source of a satellite. GaAs is more radiation tolerant and less temperature sensitive than widely used silicon. $Al_{x}$ Ga$_{1-x}$ As/GaAs solar cells have been designed and fabricated by Liquid Phase Epitaxial method. GaAs solar cells, of which structure is about 0.2 .mu.m p$^{+}$ - window layer, 0.6-1.O .mu.m Ge-doped p-layer. 3.mu.m n-GaAs layer and n$^{+}$ - buffer layer, have been characterized as a function of operating temperature from 25 .deg.C to 130 .deg.C. Open circuit voltage decreases linearly with increasing temperature by 1.4-1.51 mV/ .deg.C while degradation of silicon solar cells is about 2.2-2.5 mV/ .deg.C, short circuit current does not increase much with increasing temperature. Relative efficiency decreases with increasing of temperature by about 0.21-0.29 %/ .deg.C. Efficiency degradation of silicon solar cells with temperature is known to be about 0.5%/ .deg.C and our results show GaAs solar cells may be an excellent candidate for concentrated solar cells.ells.

나노 임프린트 리소그라피에 의한 마스터 복제 공정 (Fabrication of Master Replication by Nanoimprint Lithography)

  • A feasibility study for the fabrication of master replication with nanostructures by Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) was investigated for application of polymer Photonic Bandgap (PBG) devices used in photonic IC. Large area gratings of $9{\times}15(mm^2)$ with p = 400 nm was successfully embossed on PMMA on silicon wafer and the embossing parameters (temperature, pressure, time) were established. A precise control of $O_2$ plasma Reactive Ion Etching (RIE) process time allowed window opening over the whole area despite the presence of wafer bending. Master replication with aspect ratio 1 was successfully fabricated, but master replication with aspect ratio 3 needs to optimize parameters. All replications were done in a NIL process.
