  • This paper proposes a stability condition in switched system and then, introduce design method of fuzzy-model-based controller which guarantees the stability. Takagi-Sugeno(75) fuzzy model is employed to design a switching-type fuzzy-model-based ,controller. Furthermore, it is proposed that the design method stabilizing continuous and discrete-time 75 fuzzy model respectively. Each controller in each subspace stabilize the subsystem respectively. In order to guarantee the stability of the global system, it is required to guarantee the stability condition in boundaries with subsystems. The condition which guarantees the stability in boundaries is presented in this paper. Inverted Pendulum system is employed to execute computer simulations. In this computer simulation, the performance of the proposed controller is verified by the control result.

  • Computational methods can be classified roughly into two parts: one is the methods based on a potential flow theory, and the other is numerical solvers(CFD) based on Navier-Stockes equation. Methods based on a potential theory are more effective than CFD when the free surface effect is considered. Especially Rankine source method seems to become widespread for simulations of wave making problems. For computations of viscous flow problems, CFD techniques have rapidly been developed and have shown many successful results in the viscous flow calculation. Present paper introduces a computational system 'WAVIS' which includes a pre-processor, potential ant viscous flow solvers and a post-processor. To validate the system, the calculated results for modem commercial hull forms are compared with measurements. It is found that the results from the system are in good agreement with the experimental data, illustrating the accuracy of the numerical methods employed for WAVIS.

  • In this paper, we propose a programmable 16 bit DSP architecture using FIFO instruction memory. With this DSP architecture, System structure, BUS structure, instruction set ant and an assembler for system test are developed. The characteristic of this structure is that it simply fetches instructions not from RAM but from FIFO using shift operations. Accordingly, System can be designed regardless of RAM access time. One cycle is enough to execute an instruction, if instruction pipeline is operated. Another merit of this structure is that we can obtain the same effect as instruction pipelining without constructing a complex pipelined controller by decreasing the pipeline number.

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the flow characteristics of emulsified fuel with the ultrasonic energy-adding system by using the chaotic method. Efffcts of water contents within emulsified fuel, flow rate and tube length with 5m in diameter from an emulsified chamber has been discussed on the strange attractor and power spectral density function. Five probe sensors were set up from 0.5 to 2.5m by length in 0.5m increments in the tube. In particular, the chaotic features of this system have been practically characterized in terms of chaotic statistics such as the power spectral density function and phase space portraits by resorting to the somewhat noble deterministic chaos theory. In the tube, the dominant frequency increased with increasing water contents and flow rate, but decreased a little with an increase in the length from the emulsified chamber.

  • 미국의 ERC는 용융탄산염형 연료전지의 연구개발을 연방 에너지성의 지원하에 100KW stack의 개발을 진행시키고 있으며 Pacific gas & Electric com.는 100KW stack 운전시험에 성공하면 2MW의 실증 P1-ant를 발주할 게획이다. 그리고 일본은 신에너지 산업기술 총합 개발 기구(NEDO)의 project인 1MW발전 system 개발을 목표로 100KW를 stack 개발, 1MW급 Plant 구성기기 기술 system 기술 개발 진행중에 있으며 '93년에 100KW급 stack의 중간평가 실시와 '93-'94년 1MW급 발전 system의 설계, 건설, 운전 시험을 계획중에 있다. 한편 고체 전해질형 연료전지는 국외에서 1.3KW급 발전에 성공하였으며 10-20KW급 연구 개발이 진행중이다. 따라서 국내에서는 차세대 연료전지인 MCFC와 SOFC에 대하여 많은 노력에 의해서 선진국 기술 수준에 접근하므로서 실용화가 가능하리라고 본다.

Implementation of Web-based Reporting System (웹 기반 리포팅 시스템 구현)

  • This paper describes how to implement reporting system for web-based information system. Reporting system is the S/W module that user is able to produce output of data in formal format. In Client/Server system, remote user can make formal output with client-side reporting component module. This client reporting component is usually system dependent. With web based information system, intranet, evolving, this client/server system need to he migrated to web-based reporting system. Reporting system component support multi-processing and real-time text/graphic output of server data. Ant Client can save or pint web page of client module. Especially, for real test its function and user interface, this reporting component is adopted in real network management system. The result shows that this reporting system component is very smart and excellent for real time web based monitoring system.

  • In this paper, we propose a preference-based shortest path algorithm which is combined with Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and A* heuristic algorithm. In recent years, with the development of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), there has been a resurgence of interest in a shortest path search algorithm for use in car navigation systems. Most of the shortest path search algorithms such as Dijkstra and A* aim at finding the distance or time shortest paths. However, the shortest path is not always an optimum path for the drivers who prefer choosing a less short, but more reliable or flexible path. For this reason, we propose a preference-based shortest path search algorithm which uses the properties of the links of the map. The preferences of the links are specified by the user of the car navigation system. The proposed algorithm was implemented in C and experiments were performed upon the map that includes 64 nodes with 118 links. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is suitable to find preference-based shortest paths as well as distance shortest paths.

Anaerobic Acid Tolerance Response in Salmonella typhimurium (Salmonella typhimurium의 혐기적 산내성도 평가)

  • Salmonella typhimurium can encounter a wide variety of environments during its life cycle. In nature, S. typhimurium can experience and survive dramatic acid stresses that occur in diverse ecological niches ranging from pond water to phagolysosomes. These survival mechanism is aquired by the Acid Tolerance Response(ATR) in Salmonella. The ATR of S. typhimurium is a complex inducible phenomenon in which exposures to slight or moderate low pH will produce a stress response capable of protecting the organism against more severe acid challenges. ATR in Salmonella has two different systems that are called RpoS dependent and independent. We found that ATR in anaerobic was showed RpoS independent because rpoS$\Omega$AP had ATR as S. typhimurium UK1. Using the P22 MudJ(Km, lacZ) operon fusion technique and a lethal selection procedure combining low pH(pH4.5) and sodium acetate(10mM, pH4.5), we isolated LF487 aatA::MudJ which showed acid sensitive in anaerobic condition. aatA locus was determined at 12 min on Salmonella Genetic Map. The survival rate of aatA mutant was showed significantly diminished at pH4.3 than virulent wild type Salmonella in anaerobic condition(5% $CO_2$, 5% H$_2$, 90% $N_2$). Therefore isolated gene was confirmed important gene for anaerobic ATR system.

Oxygen Transfer and Hydraulic Characteristics in Bubble Column Bioreactor Applied Fine Bubble Air Diffusing System (미세기포 산기장치를 적용한 타워형 생물반응기의 산소전달 및 수력학적 특성)

  • For improving performance of conical air diffuser generating fine bubble, both experimental and numerical simulation method were used. After adapting diffusers inner real scale bubble column, suitable for various diffuser submergence, the effect of diffuser submergence on oxygen transfer performance such as Oxygen Transfer Coefficient ($K_{L}a_{20}$) and Standard Oxygen Transfer Efficiency (SOTE) was investigated empirically. As flow patterns for various diffuser number and submergence were revealed throughout hydrodynamic simulation for 2-phase fluid flow of air-water, the cause of the change for oxygen transfer performance was cleared up. As results of experimental performance, $K_{L}a_{20}$ was increased slightly by 7% and SOTE was increased drastically by 39~72%, 5.6% per meter. As results of numerical analysis, air volume fraction, air and water velocity in bioreactor were increased with analogous flow tendency by increasing diffuser number. As diffuser submergence increased, air volume fraction, air and water velocity were decreased slightly. Because circulative co-flow is determinant factor for bubble diffusion and rising velocity, excessive circulation intensity can result to worsen oxygen transfer by shortening bubble retention time and amount.

The effects of PNF combined patterns training on balance ability and functional ability of hockey players (PNF 통합패턴 트레이닝이 하키선수들의 균형능력과 기능적 능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was performed to examine effects of PNF combined pattern training on balance ability and functional ability of hockey players. In order to achieve this purpose, total 28 participants were separated into two group: 14 comparison group and 14 experiment group, and the experiment group performed PNF combined pattern training for 12 week, 3 times a week, 60 minutes a day. Each group was measured beforehand, after 6 week and 12 week. balance ability was measured using GOOD BALANCE system and functional ability was measured using carioca and shuttle-run test. For statistically verifying above measured values, repeated measure analysis of variance was analyzed and have following results. As the comparing results of balance ability, normal standing eye close(NSEC) was ant-post and velocity moment of experiment group showed significant differences(p<.05). And one leg right eye close(OLREC) was ant-post, med-lat and velocity moment of experiment group showed significant differences (p<.05). Also, dynamic balance ability was ant-post and velocity moment of experiment groups showed significant differences(p<.05). As the comparing results of functional ability, shuttle-run of experiment group sowed significant differences(p<.05). From above results, balance ability of hockey players was shown to be improved through symmetric training of PNF combined pattern applied to hockey players, and it can be considered that this is actively recommended for training method to improve athletic performance of hockey players.
